TV On The Radio, Perfume Genius, Folk Bitch Trio lead Meredith 2025 line-up
Perched atop the line-up is TV On The Radio. Beginning life as the arty alternative in the 2000s NYC indie rock boom, the Williamsburg-bred group reunited last year after a significant hiatus.
Fronted by Tunde Adebimpe, their visceral, unpredictable brand of rock was always a thrill live, and this will be TV On The Radio's first Australian trip since 2015.
The thought of seeing them back in action, throwing their sonic curveballs at Meredith's famed Supernatural Amphitheatre, is enough to get any indie rock fan excited. If you haven't experienced 'Wolf Like Me' live, have you truly lived?

Speaking of curveballs, Atarashii Gakko! are a Japanese girl group that blend together J-pop, rap and ravey electronic music into a wild spectacle. We're expecting this to be one of those sets where you go in knowing little, and walk away a convert.
As Perfume Genius, Mike Hadreas has carved out a critically acclaimed career for penning songs with intense emotion and unbridled authenticity. He arrives in the country off the back of new album Glory , an album capable of moving you both in the hips and the heart.
Also getting their passports stamped is is Pa Salieu, one of Britain's most exciting rappers, cross-pollinating grime and drill with Afrobeats to powerful effect, as well as buzz-worth UK post-punk trio Bar Italia. You've also got Syrian artist Omar Souleyman, who sings mantras over hypnotic techno, and returns after a stellar 2012 Meredith set following Tame Impala.
Australia's own Folk Bitch Trio get very high placement on the bill. And while they're not a household name, their lush, spellbinding vocal harmonies has made them the support act of choice for many an overseas act. If you're still catching up, Now Would Be A Good Time — as the title of their excellent debut album encourages.
As the voice of Australian anthems 'Down Under' and 'Who Can It Be Now?' out front of Men At Work, Colin Hay is already a national treasure. He's also got an underrated solo catalogue. Both are sure to bring the good mojo in the 'Sup.
Karratha-bred DJ and producer HAAi is a certified Double J favourite. And we're not alone, she's worked closely with taste-makers Jon Hopkins, Fred Again.. and Romy. She's more than capable of bringing bangers and a great time on her own.
If you're after some classic sounds, then Thee Sacred Souls' soulful jams or Detroit vocal trio Dames Brown will be just your ticket. Japanese-Canadian songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Saya Gray is definitely worth investigating. Ditto Detroit-born, LA-based Sam Austins who mixes alt-pop, R&B and hip hop into a Prince-worthy concoction.
DJ and producer RONA. will bring the deep grooves grounded in the landscapes of Mparntwe country, while Mildlife will bring their masterful, psych-infused journeys and mood-setting.
Also on the local front, rising post-punk stars Radio Free Alice, synth-punk anarchists Dr. Sure's Unusual Practice, krautrock cosmonauts Brown Spirits, experimental folksters Mouseatouille, and Yolngu's dreamy Drifting Clouds, fresh from playing the NIMAs!
Hosting this year's Meredith Gift (the fetival's Sunday morning nude run ritual) will be RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under victor Lazy Susan. It's giving 'Must Not Miss'.

A community football coach has been sacked after making a crude social media remark about fitness influencer Tammy Hembrow's relationship with AFL star Bailey Smith. Smith has not confirmed the relationship, responding only with a string of expletives when questioned by reporters at Geelong training. Their public outing attracted a wave of online commentary, much of it targeting Hembrow with misogynistic remarks. It has been an intense week for Brownlow Medal fancy Smith and fitness queen Hembrow since news of their date first broke. Matt Wright trial: Pilot's alleged spray at boss over stormy weather egg collection request
A young pilot told the Outback Wrangler to 'get f--ked, get vaccinated and go fly his own helicopter' after his boss chewed him out for pulling out of an unsafe mission. Sebastian Robinson on Friday finished giving evidence after being grilled over four days in the trial of Aussie reality television star, Matt Wright. The Apple TV and Netflix star has pleaded not guilty to three counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice during the investigation into a chopper crash that killed his co-star Chris 'Willow' Wilson. It is not alleged Mr Wright is responsible for the crash. On Friday the Northern Territory jury heard about the 'Australia Day incident' where the 28-year-old pilot and Mr Wright had a fight a month before the fatal crash. Mr Robinson said on January 26, he, Mr Wilson and fellow pilot Michael Burbidge were contracted for a crocodile egg collecting mission at the mouth of the Daly River, in the NT. The jury was shown photos of the chopper with an oncoming Wet Season storm looming in the background. Mr Robinson said he radioed Mr Burbidge to say 'it was too dangerous to continue, because the storm was huge', and they mutually agreed to head back into town. He said they went back to the Noonamah Tavern to watch the traditional Australia Day 'ute run' and have a 'beer and a feed'. Mr Robinson said Mr Wright called him 'very hostile and abusive', telling the young pilot 'What the f--k are youse doing back? Egg collecting's not meant to be f—king easy'. 'You sit out there, you f--king ... you wait the weather out. You f--king deal with it,' Mr Wright allegedly said. The jury has previously heard Mr Wright was not able to take part in egg collecting missions in early 2022 because he was an 'anti-vaxxer'. 'I told him to get f--ked, get vaccinated and fly his own helicopter,' Mr Robinson said on Friday. In a group chat with Mr Burbidge and Mr Wilson, the young pilot alleged Mr Wright 'called us all bludgers' for pulling out of the dangerous conditions. The young pilot this contributed to his decision to leave Mr Wright's Helibrook, and he establishing his own company Arnhem Helicopters. Mr Wright sent Mr Robinson a message the next day saying he was 'sorry for blowing up'. The trial continues on Monday.

Bunnings launches $1 mini version of iconic bucket
A brand new item being sold for just $1 at Bunnings has immediately captured Australia's attention, with one person saying; 'I'll be there in an hour'. Bunnings released it's $1 mini bucket this week, which is a tiny version of its popular 10 litre bucket. A clip showed the 600ml bucket being used for all sorts of things, such as storing loose nails, pots for small plants and storing painting accessories. Social media users were quick to lose their minds over the mini version of the ten litre bucket. 'I want a mini Bunnings bucket for absolutely no reason,' one social media user commented. One said: 'All I'm thinking is a 'bring anything but a cup party'.' 'I'm getting one as a handbag, does it fit a phone,' one person asked of the hardware store. Another said: 'I didn't think a bucket from Bunnings could be cute but there it is being all cutesy.' 'It's a pint! Coincidence, luck or genius. Bunnings this could be the next glass Vegemite jar. Is it dishwasher safe,' one asked. Another social media user commented: 'How cute I would make hampers of them and gift them for gifts.' 'Wow! I've got to go there,' another added. One said: 'Can't find one in any store within 250km from my house and can't order online.' 'When you have a Bunnings two minutes up the road … going to get three right now,' one said. Another commented: 'My daughter is going to want this now. She already wants the kids trolleys and has a melt down when we have to leave it inside. Bunnings is her favourite shop so we are there every weekend buying stuff for her fairy garden and having a play on the playground and a coffee at the cafe.' One person declared that they would use the cups for a party. 'Whhhhhhhhhhyyyy do I need to impulsively want to buy 10 of the mins,' one added. One said: 'Guess where I'll be visiting.' 'My five-year-old needs a couple of these to add to his work bench,' one said. One commented: 'My makeup brushes do need a new holder.' 'Oh she CUTE,' another said. One added: 'I'll be there in an hour.' However, many were quick to ask whether or not it came with a lid. Shoppers were disappointed to find out this wasn't the case. A Bunnings spokesperson weighed in on the hype. 'It's great to see a strong response to our new limited edition Bunnings mini buckets, which have quickly gone viral,' the spokesperson said. 'Priced at just $1, these 600mL buckets are proving very popular with our customers. From party favours to pot plants, there are lots of ideas putting smiles on faces and we love to see customers sharing their excitement and creativity online.'
