Worried passenger spots DAMAGE on Ryanair plane: 'No one wanted to sit near it'
Aarron Greaves, 32, from St Helens, Merseyside, had been travelling to the popular party hotspot from Manchester when he noticed a crack on the inner part of the window next to his seat.
Despite raising the issue with cabin crew, he was reassured that there was nothing to worry about.
Aarron captured the moment by taking a photo of himself lightheartedly poking his finger through the exposed plastic panel.
Airplane windows are made of multiple parts, and often they'll consist of three panes of acrylic glass.
The outer and middle panes are designed to withstand cabin pressure, while the inner pane is not deemed structural and instead acts as a scratch protector, according to Air Horizont.
Aarron said: 'Everyone was scared and no one wanted to sit near it. I saw the crack after opening the window, so it was already there when I got on the plane.
'The crew came over and told us that an engineer had checked and it is structurally sound, but they didn't say how it happened.'

Though the holidaymaker admitted he had been 'pretty worried,' he was relieved that the flight landed with no problems and he was able to continue to go on about his trip, as reported by Daily Record.
Ryanair told the Daily Mail: 'We note that the window reveal (which is used only to protect the window from scratches) was found to be damaged and has since been replaced.'
Meanwhile, one horrified easyJet passenger caught a couple breaking both rules after she saw a man 'picking dirt from under his partner's toenails' during a flight.
Erin Butcher was flying home from a seven-day family holiday in Tenerife but was shocked to notice a woman's bare feet propped up on a tray table.
The 27-year-old was then left 'disgusted' after she noticed a man appearing to pick at her French pedicure toenails before 'flicking bits of dirt' to the floor and over the seats.
