Saiyaara's R Shaan Grover noted that a friend of his was really touched by Aneet Padda's performance in the film.
Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, has created a storm at the box office. The romance drama catapulted Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda, and Shaan R Grover to stardom. Shaan's performance as the antagonist, Mahesh Iyer, has surely taken the audience by surprise and has gained a lot of attention. Now, the actor opened up about how difficult it was for him to play the role.
In an interview with Filmygyan, Shaan R Grover shared, 'I am not trying to show anybody ki mein aisa nahi hoon waisa nahi hoon. I don't care ki mein kaisa hoon, but to play a negative character around girls, because I have never been like that."
He added, 'I was playing that red flag and I genuinely felt a little disturbed or mujhe laga ki pata nahi yaar isko hate milna chahiye of course but kahi log mujhe isse associate na kare."
Earlier, in conversation with Zoom, Shaan shared that antagonists like Mahesh exist in real life as well. He shared, 'When we went on set and stepped into our characters, we were prepared. Of course, it is not easy to play such characters. I am not Mahesh Iyer. That's not how I function and my brain functions. I was gullibly thinking ki 'Mahesh jaise log hote hai iss duniya mein?'" He added that a friend of his, who experienced something similar, was really touched by Aneet's performance in Saiyaara.
Saiyaara has exceeded the Rs 100 crore mark in the first few days of release. Mohit Suri's latest project follows the life of a musician (Ahaan) and his love story with a journalist (Aneet). The duo's initial clashes slowly transform into a romance, before fate gives them an unpleasant surprise. This film was the Bollywood debut of Ahaan Panday. Aneet, meanwhile, had earlier appeared in a supporting role in Salaam, Venky.
Meanwhile, Shaan served as assistant director on Harshvardhan Rane's film Sanam Teri Kasam. He has also worked on a number of OTT projects, including the Netflix film Nobleman and web series like Roohaniyat and Dus June Ki Raat.

Eyes Of Wakanda Trailer Out: Marvel Explores Vibranium's Origins In New Disney+ Series

Last Updated: The series is created and directed by Todd Harris, who previously worked as a storyboard artist on both Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Marvel Animation has just unveiled the much-anticipated trailer for Eyes of Wakanda, the upcoming animated series set in the Black Panther universe. Slated to premiere on August 1 on Disney+, the four-episode limited series dives deep into Wakanda's rich past and introduces fans to the elite warriors of Hatut Zeraze, charged with a sacred mission — to protect Vibranium at all costs. Executive produced by Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, Eyes of Wakanda is Marvel's latest expansion of the beloved Wakandan lore. Initially scheduled for August 6, the release date was moved up to August 1, as confirmed in the newly dropped trailer. The show is part of Coogler's overall TV deal with Disney under his Proximity production banner. The story follows the Hatut Zeraze — a covert team of Wakandan warriors who are among the rare few allowed to venture beyond the country's borders. Their goal is to retrieve Vibranium artifacts scattered across the world, safeguarding the rare metal from those who wish to exploit it. Each episode is set in a unique place and time, offering viewers a globe-trotting, historical journey unlike anything seen in the MCU before. The voice cast includes Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Jacques Colimon, Jona Xiao, Gary Anthony Williams, Steve Toussaint, Zeke Alton, and Anika Noni Rose. The series is created and directed by Todd Harris, who previously worked as a storyboard artist on both Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. His deep familiarity with the franchise ensures a visually stunning and narratively authentic addition to Marvel's expanding animated slate. Eyes of Wakanda is the first Black Panther-centric project since 2022's Wakanda Forever, which introduced new characters and explored the underwater world of Talokan. Fans eagerly waiting to return to the Afro-futuristic nation will now get to experience its legacy in animated form. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. 'I dont think acting is for me': Kayoze Irani on his return to big screens, direction, Sarzameen experience

New Delhi [India], July 29 (ANI): Kayoze Irani, who is popularly known for his role of Kaizad Sudo Sodabottleopenerwala in the superhit film 'Student of the Year', admitted that "acting" is not made for him. After a brief stint as an actor in the Bollywood industry, Kayoze switched to filmmaking with the anthology series 'Ajeeb Daastaans' on Netflix in 2021. He directed the segment titled 'Ankahi', which starred Shefali Shah in the lead role. After gaining experience in filmmaking by serving as an assistant director in Kartik Aaryan's 'Dhamaka', Kayoze decided to put his directorial skills to the test with the recently released movie 'Sarzameen'. It stars Kajol, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan in the lead roles. It is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Adar Poonawalla under the banner of Dharma Productions. While Kayoze is quite busy with his directorial projects, many fans wonder about his return to acting after his show-stealing debut performance in 'Student of the Year'. While talking to ANI, Kayoze admitted that he has no plans of returning to acting, disappointing his fans who were long waiting for his return. Kayoze said that he is more "comfortable" behind the camera and acting is not made for him. "I don't think you can see me acting again, because I enjoy filmmaking and it's what I have always wanted to do. I am comfortable behind the camera, and that is my intention. So sorry to disappoint, but I don't think acting is for me," said Kayoze Irani. Apart from his role in Karan Johar's 'Student of the Year', Kayoze has also starred in films including 'Youngistaan' and 'The Legend of Michael Mishra'. Kayoze Irani also shared his experience of working with stars, including Kajol and Prithiviraj Sukumaran in his debut movie directorial 'Sarzameen'. He called it a "humbling experience", saying that he never felt like a debutant among the two veterans. "As a debut director, the two of them (Prithviraj and Kajol) never let me feel that I am a debut director because they are both veterans. So when they were with me on set, they would always give me that respect. They would always take my opinion. Always listen and make me feel like I am part of them. I could stand with them and talk to them. So it is a genuinely humbling experience," said Kayoze Irani. Kayoze's latest directorial, 'Sarzameen', is currently streaming on Disney Hotstar. (ANI)
