Explore local history for free during Brown County History Days
BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Brown County is celebrating its rich past with Brown County History Days, a week-long event running from May 12th to May 17th.
Organized by the Brown County Federation of History Organizations (BCFHO), the event will feature free programs at 11 historic locations across the county.
Visitors are encouraged to explore as many sites as they like during the week. Each location will offer unique, engaging programs led by knowledgeable staff in settings that bring local history to life.

Brown County United Way combines efforts with 20 nonprofits to expand HubCAP into mobile classroom
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Brown County United Way unveiled an expansion to its HubCAP on Tuesday morning, courtesy of a partnership with over 20 nonprofit agencies. The HubCAP is used to roll through neighborhoods and provide information, resources and more to community members without moving around too much. This new expansion features a mobile classroom. St. Joseph Backpack Food Assistance Program distributed nearly 43K meals to students
(WFRV) – The St. Joseph Backpack Food Assistance Program distributed nearly 43,000 meals to students in eight school districts for the 2024-2025 school year. Each meal contained eight ready-to-eat healthy meal items that students would take home with them over the weekend. The participating schools said that students felt less stressed when heading home. Registration open, date announced for 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Lambeau Field 'That program is for children from kindergarten through high school and so the teachers in each school determined what the best way to get that to the kids was but generally at the end of the week they would get that bag to take home and have something to eat,' said Monica Claire, St. Joseph Food Program Executive Director.
