Monaco/France, July 15, 2025 -- Téo holds a 41-point lead over Thomas Robineau in the overall standings. José Sousa moved up to third place overall, eight points ahead of another Buggyra Academy France driver—his son, Raphaël Sousa.
'It was a crazy weekend full of ups and downs. But the important thing is that we scored a lot of points. What matters most is Téo's overall win in the Magny-Cours Grand Prix. There was action on the track, races full of emotion—and that's exactly what truck racing is all about. Now we have a short summer break ahead of us,' said a satisfied Fabien Calvet, boss of Buggyra Academy France.
Téo Calvet started the first race from second position and held on to it at the finish. 'Unfortunately, I dropped back a bit at the start, and came out of the first corner in fifth place. I had to start overtaking my rivals one by one. It was a great battle until I caught up to my biggest rival, Anthony Robineau. He drove a solid defensive race,' said the defending champion, who finished just three-tenths of a second behind the winner.
The second race on Saturday, with a reversed starting grid, was a triumph for José Sousa. Téo Calvet also made it onto the podium, finishing in third place. 'It was a good comeback. But unfortunately, we had a really tough race with several collisions. It's very difficult to overtake at Magny-Cours—it's really hard to get ahead of your rivals here. So I'm satisfied with third place,' said Téo Calvet, who openly admits that Magny-Cours isn't exactly his favorite circuit.
Sunday's program couldn't have started better for the defending champion—it opened with a victory. The Buggyra Academy France team also celebrated a double podium, as José Sousa finished second.
But the win didn't come easily. 'After a big battle on the first lap, Thomas (Robineau) pushed me off the track, and I lost two positions. But I managed to come back. It was a really great race. I overtook Yorick Montagne and then José Sousa to take the win. I'm very happy,' said the smiling winner at the finish.
The final truck race of the weekend at Magny-Cours turned into a major battle with technical issues for Téo. A failing gearbox forced him to settle for fourth place. However, that didn't change the fact that he was the best overall performer at Magny-Cours.
'It was quite chaotic at the front. I could have finished third, but unfortunately I had gearbox trouble. So I had to give up the fight for the podium. On top of that, the truck was overheating. It wasn't easy. But I still managed to finish fourth. And most importantly, I won the Magny-Cours Grand Prix overall, so I'm very happy. Thanks to the team for their work—they did an amazing job this weekend,' added Téo Calvet.

Women's Euros viewership nearly doubles from 2022, Fox Sports says
Television viewership of Euros group-stage matches has nearly doubled from the 2022 iteration of the tournament, Fox announced Tuesday, with an average of 306,000 people tuning in to those 24 matches this summer, compared to an average of 161,000 three years ago. Tara Moore, British tennis player, handed four-year doping ban
British tennis player Tara Moore has been handed a four-year anti-doping sanction despite previously being cleared of any wrongdoing. Moore, 32, was provisionally suspended after testing positive for the anabolic steroids boldenone and nandrolone following a tournament in Colombia in April 2022. An independent tribunal 19 months later ruled that Moore bore no fault or negligence in December 2023 before the The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) appealed that decision with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Advertisement CAS on Tuesday confirmed it has ruled in the ITIA's favour, upholding its appeal, dismissing a counter-appeal from Moore and imposing on her a four-year ban from the sport, minus time previously served under the provisional suspension. Moore, previously Britain's No. 1-ranked doubles player, will now not be eligible to play again until the beginning of the 2028 season. ITIA chief executive officer Karen Moorhouse said: 'For the ITIA, every case is considered according to the individual facts and circumstances. 'Our bar for appealing a first instance decision is high, and the decision is not taken lightly. In this case, our independent scientific advice was that the player did not adequately explain the high level of nandrolone present in their sample. Today's ruling is consistent with this position. 'We understand that players and their support teams may have questions about this decision, and we will answer these fully once we have reviewed the details of the ruling.' Moore recorded an adverse analytical finding (AAF) from a sample collected during the Copa Colsanitas tournament in Bogotá in April 2022. She argued that the presence of boldenone and nandrolone in her sample must have been caused by the consumption of beef and/or pork while in Colombia. CAS revealed in publishing the verdict on Tuesday that the ITIA filed an appeal against the tribunal's ruling in January of this year before the appeals were heard in March. 'After reviewing the scientific and legal evidence, the majority of the CAS Panel considered that the player did not succeed in proving that the concentration of nandrolone in her sample was consistent with the ingestion of contaminated meat,' the Court said in a media release publicising the verdict. 'The Panel concluded that Ms Moore failed to establish that the ADRV (anti-doping rule violation) was not intentional. The appeal by the ITIA is therefore upheld and the decision rendered by the independent tribunal is set aside. The cross-appeal filed by Ms Moore was declared inadmissible.' Advertisement Doping has been a highly contentious issue for the sport in recent months following the positive tests and subsequent bans served by men's world No. 1 Jannik Sinner and four-time French Open women's champion Iga Świątek. Both players went on to win their respective singles titles at Wimbledon last weekend.
