Fox News Host Gleefully Mocks ICE Barbie's ‘Performance' Art

Jessica Tarlov pushed back on her Fox News colleagues who claimed that Alex Padilla's confrontation Thursday with Kristi Noem was an obvious photo op orchestrated by the California senator by reminding her co-hosts that the Homeland Security Secretary is 'in a costume all the time.' On The Five, Tarlov alluded to Noem's frequent dress-up excursions in the field—as a firefighter, a pilot, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, a Coast Guard boat operator, and a headscarf-wearing camel rider—after Greg Gutfeld described Padilla's video evidence of being wrestled to the ground and cuffed as the 'ultimate photo op.' 'Coming from the administration and a particular secretary who loves the performance art—she's in a costume all the time, she's doing a reality TV show of arresting migrants and showing up at CECOT,' Tarlov said as Gutfeld interrupted. 'You can't make us believe this is real anymore, Jessica,' he told her. 'The 'boy who cried wolf' story—I hate to bring it up, but we don't buy this B.S.' Since taking office, Noem has become known as 'ICE Barbie' due to her predilection for getting all dolled up in mission-appropriate outfits while tagging along with ICE officers. In the span of just four days in March, she also pretended to be a firefighter, a pilot, a member of the Maritime Security Response Team, and a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer. During another one of her trips to the southern border, Noem drew widespread mockery for appearing to point a rifle at an immigration officer's head. The former South Dakota governor was also criticized for filming a video in El Salvador's notorious CECOT mega-prison—while wearing what appeared to be a $60,000 gold Rolex. Optics seem to be quite important to Noem. Last month, The Daily Mail reported that her department was even in the process of pitching a reality television show in which immigrants would compete in challenges, with the winner obtaining citizenship. Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told the Daily Beast then that Noem hadn't reviewed the pitch, which was 'in the very beginning stages.' Noem, unnamed sources told The Daily Mail, supported the endeavor.

Giles County deputies arrest couple for connection to fraud scheme targeting home contractors

GILES COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A couple is accused of using fake names to hire multiple contractors and not paying them after doing their jobs. According to the Giles County Sheriff's Office, Nicholas Barnes and his wife, Ashley, were arrested Wednesday night and charged with theft of services and criminal conspiracy. 'I'm aware of at least three contractors who did the work for Nicholas Barnes and his wife, Ashley Barnes,' Investigator Steve Almada with the GCSO. 'Since the work was completed none of them has been paid for any of their services.' Man robbed of $30K Rolex after meeting woman on Broadway, police say According to Almada, the couple is building a home in Giles County and has failed to pay at least three contractors approximately $60,000. 'From what I'm told, there are additional contractors involved with them, to date, that have not been paid for their services either,' Almada added. Nicholas Barnes—who sometimes uses the alias John Fritz—is reportedly wanted for similar crimes in New York. 'You're telling me they are building a house on property they do not own?' asked News 2's Andy Cordan. 'That is highly irregular.' 'That is correct,' replied Almada. Man breaks into Hendersonville store, gets injured in shootout with owner: police According to the Davidson County Clerk's Office, the couple was indicted in 2024 for charges of theft over $60-$250,000. News 2 spoke Contrast Cine, a Nashville company that rents film equipment specializing in cameras and lenses. One of the managers reported they remember the Barnes' renting five expensive lenses and then later claiming that the lenses were lost. According to the manager, the lens were used, but to replace them would cost about $90,000. 'There appears to be fraudulent activity going on with some of the automobiles they own,' Almada added. Investigators in Giles County told News 2 that Nicholas was known to drive an exclusive Audi R8, which also raised red flags. 'The take away I believe is that they are involved in fraudulent activity, and they are victimizing quite a few people and I want to make sure they are brought to justice for all the people they are victimizing,' Almada concluded. GCSO investigators urge anyone who has had any dealings with Ashley or Nicholas to contact the Giles County Sheriff's Office. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Suspect pleads guilty to role in $436K courier robbery in Swansea

SWANSEA, Mass. (WPRI) — A Bridgewater man is due to be sentenced for his role in a coordinated armed robbery that happened outside a Swansea bank last year. Steven Madison, 39, pleaded guilty this week in federal court to several charges including robbery and conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act robbery, U.S. Attorney Leah Foley's office announced. Madison was arrested in May 2024 along with two other suspects, Christopher White and Quentin McDonald. Prosecutors alleged that Madison and White committed the robbery, while McDonald was the getaway driver. The robbery occurred on the afternoon of Feb. 19, 2024, outside the BayCoast Bank branch on Swansea Mall Drive. Police said a courier pulled up to the bank's dropbox to deposit more than $436,000 in cash collected from several area cannabis dispensaries. It was then, according to police, that the suspects pulled up behind the courier, pointed a gun at him and zip-tied his hands before loading the money into a stolen U-Haul van. The victim was also pepper-sprayed at one point. Police said the courier got one of his hands loose and fired four rounds at the suspects' vehicle as they fled. The suspects drove to another location in town where McDonald was waiting in an SUV, then torched the U-Haul van. BACKGROUND: 3 charged with robbing courier of $436K outside Swansea bank A fourth suspect, Elgun Mikaiylov, was later charged for allegedly helping to plan and execute the robbery. Police said he was a manager at one of the dispensaries and provided information about the courier service and cash pickups. According to court documents, when police searched Madison's home, they found one of the phones associated with the robbery, along with a $47,000 Rolex bought the day after it happened, more than $5,000 cash, a bag of cocaine and a loaded handgun. In addition to the robbery charges, Madison pleaded guilty to brandishing a firearm in relation to a crime of violence, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. A sentencing date has not yet been scheduled. Download the and apps to get breaking news and weather alerts. Watch or with the new . Follow us on social media: Close Thanks for signing up!
