French women's basketball player, 17, throws down dunk in game vs Belgium
Tournebize helped France to a third-place finish in the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket 2025 over Belgium.
The French won the game, 72-47.
But the highlight moment came in the fourth quarter when she stole the ball away from her Belgian opponent.
The 6-foot-4 athlete was in transition all by herself and threw down a sensational dunk.
Tournebize, 17, scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as France picked up its fifth consecutive podium finish.
The dunk was hardly Tournebize's first of her career. She became the first French women's basketball player to dunk in a game when she did it for Espoirs de Bourges in an NF2 league matchup. She then dunked for Tango Bourges Basket U18 back in February.
The center will turn 18 in eight days from Sunday.
French women's basketball has been on fire in the last 15 years. The French won the silver medal in the 2024 Olympics, bronze in the Tokyo Games and silver in London back in 2012.
The team was fourth in Women's Eurobasket last June. A few Tango Bourges Basket players are currently on the national roster, including Tima Pouye and Pauline Astier.

Fast forward to the 153rd Open Championship, and fans can finally say that Johnson has made the cut at a major this season. On Friday afternoon, Johnson shot a two-under 69 to secure a spot in the field this weekend. He's currently at even par heading into Saturday's round. Johnson finished his second round by hitting the flag on the 18th hole. His ball landed just a few feet away from the hole to set up a very makable birdie. After Johnson took care of his excellent approach shot, his fans went on social media to celebrate his performance. "Dustin Johnson might be back, you know," one fan said. "Let's go DJ," a second fan commented. "DUSTIN JOHNSON HAS FNALLY MADE A CUT IS THIS REAL?????? CHILLLLLLLS," another fan wrote on X. "Dustin Johnson is so back," a social media user declared. The leaderboard at The Open is pretty crowded right now. Matt Fitzpatrick leads the way right now at 9-under par, but Brian Harman and Li Haotong are right behind him at 8-under par. If Johnson wants to be in contention this weekend, he'll need to post a low score on Saturday. Aitana Bonmati said that she is back to her best after starring in Friday's 2-0 win over hosts Switzerland which took Spain into the semi-finals of Women's Euro 2025. Two-time Ballon d'Or winner Bonmati was named player of the match in Bern in her second start at the tournament after recovering from a bout of viral meningitis which briefly threatened her chances of playing in the Euros. "Yeah, today I felt 100 percent physically. It was an intense 90 minutes, what I'm used to doing, so I'm happy," Bonmati told reporters.
