Analyst Teases All-Pro Fit For Bills and Josh Allen
All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been a thorn in the Buffalo Bills side for close to a decade now. Whether it's his time with the Kansas City Chiefs or recently with the Miami Dolphins, the Bills have had major trouble trying to lock up the deep threat.

Could that come to an end? Would Buffalo be interested in simply bringing in the player they can't stop to their team?
As Hill's off-field problems continue to grow in South Florida, there are analysts who believe the star could be on his last legs with the Dolphins. As Miami transitions to a retooling effort, they may look to get rid of the high-priced talent they have held in recent years.
Hill could be one of those names on the move.
And the Bills are a team who would be highly interested if they can get Miami to the negotiating table.
"The contenders that should at least ponder whether Hill can help get them over the top include the Ravens, Texans, Chargers, and 49ers. (The Bills should think about it, too. However, the Dolphins may not be interested in helping Buffalo get back to a Super Bowl.), PFT's Mike Florio wrote.the call.

Our thoughts? Once you include the $25.85 million fully guaranteed contract?
This is a Florio Fantasy.
Buffalo hasn't had a top receiving target on their team since they traded Stefon Diggs away to the Houston Texans. Hill, like Diggs, is a very outspoken individual, but plays the position in a way that Buffalo hasn't had on their roster.
If Miami is willing to part ways, and they don't care about an inter-divisional trade, then Buffalo - even with Tyreek's baggage - should absolutely explore options. … but that would likely mean Miami paying some of the freight while giving away the player..

Victor Cruz can already feel the difference in these Giants
The Giants are a little more than two weeks into training camp and one game into the preseason, but Super Bowl champion Victor Cruz already feels something is different with this year's team. Access the Giants like never before Get texts from Paul Schwartz with all the latest Giants news and insights, exclusive to Sports+ subscribers. tRY IT NOW The former Giants wide receiver had already predicted back in June that Big Blue would be above .500 this season, and speaking with The Post on Monday, he explained the encouraging vibe around the team. Advertisement 'There's different energy around the players and their attention to detail, and it's coming through. It's permeating on the football field,' Cruz said before teeing off in the APGA Mastercard Tour Championship Pro-Am being held at Bally's Golf Links at Ferry Point. 'That's just one game. See what happens throughout the course of the preseason, but the regular season is where it's going to tell where it's going to tell the tale.' The Giants are going into Year 3 of head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen's tenure at the helm. Advertisement Corey Sipkin for the NY POST Big Blue went through one of its biggest offseasons in recent memory, selecting edge rusher Abdul Carter and quarterback Jaxson Dart in the first round of the draft in April, which Cruz suggested was the moment Daboll 'got his guys.' 'He got the type of athletes that he wants to have on this football team,' the former receiver explained before turning his attention to the other big offseason acquisition the Giants added. 'Obviously, I think I'd be remiss in saying that adding Russell Wilson to your roster just changes things. Just his pedigree, his attention to detail, his leadership. It just changes the way people behave and react out there. Advertisement 'I think that that's just a small thing, but a big thing when it comes to being a football player, being a part of a team and having a guy like that on your roster is pretty special.' The Giants won their preseason opener on Saturday and Dart threw 12 completions for 154 yards and one touchdown. The rookie QB's most impressive throw came in the second quarter on a 28-yard touchdown throw to Lil'Jordan Humphrey. Advertisement Ex-Giant Victor Cruz speaking to head coach Brian Daboll during practice at the Giants training facility in East Rutherford, NJ. Charles Wenzelberg / New York Post 'Jaxson played well. I was excited to see him,' Cruz said of the quarterback's performance. 'There were moments where he still got some growing pains, still a rookie, still got to figure out decision making. But I was surprised at how athletic he was. I think he did some good things getting out of the pocket and doing some good things with his legs. And then obviously the touchdown pass and some of those throws were pretty accurate.' Cruz was in The Bronx on Monday to play the pro-am ahead of the start of the Mastercard Tour Championship, which is part of the APGA Tour, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring an inclusive future through the game of golf. The former Giant has become a golf enthusiast. He has been playing for the past four years and said that he was looking forward to picking up some tips from the pros and sharing whatever wisdom he can from his years in the NFL. 'I'm just excited to be here and learn just as much from them as they probably can from me,' he said.

Bears vs Dolphins Preseason: Inside the snap counts, stats, and more
The most important thing about preseason isn't the final score or even the playing time; it's getting out of there with no serious injuries. The Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins managed to do just that on Sunday afternoon. There were a few players dinged up in yesterday's 24-all tie, but as of yet, none look to be long-term. This was Chicago's first preseason tie since 1973, which also came against the Dolphins. Thankfully, the NFL eliminated preseason overtime in 2021, because no one needs to have a winner in practice games. The game may have ended in a tie, but the Bears outgained the 'Fins (295 yards to 272), had more first downs (22 to 16), and had the time of possession edge (33:10 to 26:50). Miami had an edge in third-down efficiency (43.8% to 42.9%) and fourth-down efficiency (40% to 25%). Both teams held out several starters after letting their number ones get plenty of scrimmage time on Thursday during the joint practice at Halas Hall. The Bears' next preseason game is Sunday, August 17, against the Buffalo Bills, and they'll host a joint practice the 17th. Before we get into some more numbers, here are all the Bears who did not play against the Dolphins. And here is how the Bears started the day on both sides of the ball. Here are the Bears' playing time breakdowns and a few individual stats. Offense With so many players participating for the Bears, I'll split the snap count lists into two for both the offense and the defense. Also, keep in mind that the special teams' snaps in these preseason games are often an indication of the reserve players the coaches have in mind for the third phase. Tyson Bagent got the start, and he went 13 of 19 for 103 yards, with 1 TD and 1 interception for a passer rating of 77.3. He was sacked twice, and he had a nine-yard scramble. Bagent's touchdown pass went to Maurice Alexander, who caught 4 for 19 yards. Rookie tailback Kyle Monangai (5'8', 207) led the Bears with 30 rushing yards on six attempts, and he had a challenging rep in pass protection against 6'4', 268-pound Bradley Chubb. 'Yeah, that's a big human,' Monangai told Zack Pearson of the Bear Report. 'That's what's asked of me in the offensive backfield. If I have to go block a 6-foot, however tall he is, defensive end. I gotta go do it. The chance to go against a Pro Bowl pass rusher like that, it makes me better.' Fellow rookie draft picks Colston Loveland (1 reception for 8 yards) and Luther Burden III (2 for 29) also got in on the action. I'm still working out the formatting kinks of our version of WordPress, so this image may be off. Case Keenum started the third quarter, and he completed 8 of 10 passes for 80 yards, with 2 TDs and a passer rating of 139.6. He had a 2-yard run and was sacked once. Keenum's TD passes went to UDFA running back Deion Hankins (4-yard TD catch), who added 23 rushing yards on 7 attempts, and UDFA wideout Jahdae Walker, who had 3 receptions for 41 yards. Quartrback Austin Reed finished the game going 5 of 10 for 41 yards and a rating of 60.8. Devin Duvernay had 3 catches for 27 yards. Joel Wilson caught 3 for 15. Defense Austin Booker had a fantastic game, racking up 3 of Chicago's 6 sacks. Noah Sewell had 6 tackles and a forced fumble. Rookie linebacker Ruben Hyppolite II had 5 tackles on defense, a tackle for loss, and a tackle on special teams. Corner Tre Flowers had 5 tackles, 2 passes defended, and another tackle in the third phase. Safety Alex Cook had 3 tackles, a sack, a TFL, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Defensive tackle Zacch Pickens had 3 tackles, a sack, and a TFL. DE Dominique Robinson had 2 tackles, a sack, and a TFL. Corner Josh Blackwell had 2 tackles on D, 2 PD, and 2 special teams' tackles. Special Teams *The above image has players who only played in the third phase. Cairo Santos nailed a 57-yard field goal and an extra point. UDFA kicker Jonathan Kim hit both extra points. Punter Tory Taylor had 3 punts and a 52.3 average (34.0 net), with 1 punt inside the twenty. UDFA WR JP Richardson had a 9-yard punt return and 2 receptions for 7 yards. Duvernay had a 21-yard kickoff return. Monangai and Alexander each had a 22-yard kickoff return, with Alexander adding a 9-yard punt return.. To check out the full Bears vs Dolphins box score, I find that has an easy-to-navigate site. All statistics, snap counts, and accompanying pictures are taken directly from the NFL's Game Statistics and Information System.

Free agent former Mavericks big man working out for East contender
Free agent former Mavericks big man working out for East contender originally appeared on The Sporting News A free agent former Dallas Mavericks power forward/center is auditioning for an Eastern Conference hopeful. It makes sense that Dallas itself isn't interested in bringing the big man back, as the Mavericks currently boast a glut (perhaps a surplus) of frontcourt talent already. Sources inform longtime NBA insider Chris Haynes that Kai Jones is putting in a workout for the Miami Heat on Monday. This story will be updated...
