Aiming for a sixth straight home victory, the surging Dream look to take down the Sky for the second time in a little more than a week on Sunday.
Atlanta has the league's fourth-best record while ranking third in scoring , making 132 3-pointers and holding opponents to 77.6 points per contest. On Friday, the Dream continued their home success by holding off Washington for a 92-91 victory.
"To finish these games, we're going to have to be good at both ends for the entire game," said Dream coach Karl Smesko, whose squad is 5-1 at home.
Atlanta managed to get the job done Friday while using another packed house to its advantage.
"It's hard playing here," Atlanta forward Nia Coffey said. " will hear . We feel the energy."
The Sky experienced that during an 88-70 loss at Atlanta on June 13. The Dream held a 50-31 scoring advantage in the second half. Rhyne Howard set a franchise record for one game with nine 3-pointers made and finished with 36 points.
Though Allisha Gray averages a team-leading 20.2 points, Howard entered play Saturday leading the WNBA with 39 made threes.
Chicago center Kamilla Cardoso scored 15 with nine rebounds at Atlanta last week, and has averaged 15.0 points in the last four games. She scored a team-high 17 during Saturday's 107-86 home loss to Phoenix Chicago's fourth defeat of at least 20 points in 2025.
The Sky shot 52.6 percent from the field, but allowed the Mercury to make a franchise-record 17 3s, and committed 21 turnovers that resulted in 29 points for the visitors. Chicago star Angel Reese, who entered Saturday averaging a league-leading 11.7 rebounds, managed just two and took one shot from the field while scoring nine points.
A loser in five of the last six, Chicago averages a WNBA-worst 18.9 turnovers per game.
"The mentality has to be to be better the next day; to learn from the losses and grow," Sky forward Elizabeth Williams said.

Is Josh Giddey re-joining the Chicago Bulls? NBA star seeks $30M amid contract standoff as other teams show interest

Josh Giddey might or might not return to the Chicago Bulls (Image via Getty Images) NBA source Jake Fischer of The Stein Line claims that when free agency opened on June 30, the Chicago Bulls made Josh Giddey an offer of a four-year, $80 million contract. The Chicago Bulls were hoping to hold onto guard Josh Giddey, a restricted free agent, going into the 2025 NBA offseason. Giddey, a restricted free agent, is asking for a salary of around $30 million a year, more than double Chicago's offer of $20 million. Chicago Bulls' $80M offer to Josh Giddey stalls as Golden State Warriors express trade interest Giddey had the best year of his career with the Chicago Bulls in 2024-25. Jake Fischer of The Stein Line claims that the Chicago Bulls and the restricted free agent are currently at odds over a contract. Giddey is still a free agent with restrictions. He has been negotiating a deal with the Bulls, but they have not been able to come to an agreement. There have been rumours recently that Giddey is being pursued by other teams. The Golden State Warriors are said to be one of those squads. Jake Fischer, an NBA insider, recently shared the new update. Fischer wrote : "League sources say that the Bulls made an offer of $80 million over four years to restricted free agent Josh Giddey when the offseason commenced on June 30.. Giddey, of course, is seeking an annual salary in the $30 million range. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like No annual fees for life UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo Chicago has been anchored in the $20 million range in annual value ever since its original offer." He further wrote: 'Sources say Giddey has managed to attract some external interest from rival teams since free agency began, with multiple Eastern Conference teams contacting Giddey's representation to register sign-and-trade interest.. Yet it's likewise true that more than one rival front office has indicated a reluctance to try to engage the Bulls in sign-and-trade discussions, sources say, with Chicago having messaged for some time that it is not eager to discuss such scenarios. Stating the same, Jake Fischer wrote: 'I'm told that the Warriors continue to value Giddey's skillset and have communicated their interest to the Australian point guard's representation. There simply does not appear to be a feasible pathway to such a trade … not right now.' The Chicago Bulls may be able to arrange a sign-and-trade that would bring them Jonathan Kuminga from the G.S. Warriors rumours. With Jonathan Kuminga , Golden State has been experiencing a similar circumstance.
