You may know him from his Netflix specials Ball Hog(2020), Disgraceful(2018), Mostly Stories(2016), and Completely Normal(2014). Tom got plenty of laughs at last year's Dubai Comedy Festival too, and this year he returns with his global stand-up tour Tom Segura: Come Together – a highly anticipated new tour. American comedian, podcaster, and actor Akaash Singh is coming to Dubai Opera on October 5 for the Dubai Comedy Festival 2025 for an evening of non-stop belly laughs. He has made appearances on MTV's Guy Code and Wild'n Out, Netflix's Brown Nation, and HBO's The Leftovers, Akaash later shifted his focus from TV to podcasting. Together with fellow funny man Andrew Schulz, Akaash co-created the immensely popular podcast 'Flagrant', which has amassed millions of listeners.

Having risen to prominence in 2012 after winning Comedy Central India's Best Stand-Up Comedian competition, Khan has since become one of the most recognisable names in Indian comedy. After captivating Dubai Comedy Festival audiences in 2024 with a sold-out 150-minute Hindi-language set, the sakht launda returns, this time, with even more laughs in store.

Netflix 'Tudum' fan event reflects studio investment in global streaming
Netflix continues to add more live content for viewers hungry for real-time entertainment, including the Tyson vs. Paul boxing match, National Football League games and, most recently, the "Tudum" live fan event that showcased upcoming TV shows. "This is the first time we've done the show in this way, a live format," Shelly Gillyard, VP of Series Marketing for the US and Canada, told Reuters at the Netflix Tudum fan event last Saturday. "Previous years was on the ground fan activations," Gillyard added. Tudum is named after the sound that plays before each Netflix movie and series. For Netflix, is was important to ensure that they were incorporating talent from all over the world for the global fan event. More than 100 Netflix stars and creators appeared in the show hosted by actor Sofia Carson, who starred in the airport thriller Carry On. The first two Tudum events took place in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2020 and in 2023. However, for 2025, it was relocated to Los Angeles, California. The 2020 Netflix Tudum in Brazil drew 50,000 people in four days and the post-COVID numbers for the 2023 Brazil Tudum were 35,000. Gillyard said the live event could take place somewhere else in the future and Netflix is focused less on where it is held and more on making it available globally. With major titles like Squid Game, Stranger Things, Wednesday, and Emily in Paris, combined with a performance by Lady Gaga, the streamer capitalised on fan interest. One of the largest draws for viewers was the premiere date announcements for Emmy award-winning series Stranger Things. The livestreamed event revealed that Stranger Things will have a fifth and final season split into three parts, with part one on November 26, 2025, part two on December 25, 2025 and the series finale on December 31, 2025.

Singer-actress Lady Gaga stunned the audience when she pulled off a neat trick during her latest performance on stage. The singer brought the magic and dazzle to Netflix's Tudum. The singer, who is also the guest star on the hit streaming show 'Wednesday', emerged from a coffin to perform her songs 'Abracadabra', 'Zombieboy' and 'Bloody Mary' along with some creepy dancers, reports 'Variety'. According to Netflix, Gaga plays Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday. Other guest stars this season include Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O'Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo and Joonas Suotamo. 'Wednesday' follows Jenna Ortega in the titular role of the psychic 'Addams Family' daughter in her time as a student at Nevermore Academy. The second season of the series, which debuted its hit first season in November 2022, will launch on the streamer in two parts set to drop on August 6, debuting with Part 1, while Part 2 will follow on September 3. The singer-actress has just finished playing a series of shows in Mexico, Brazil and Singapore. Earlier this year, she returned to Coachella as the headline act. She performed 'The Manifesto of Mayhem' and went on to include title cards for Acts I, II, III., IV and V. Songs included 'Vanish Into You' and 'Killah' from her new album, 'Mayhem', and she also performed classics like 'Born This Way' and 'Poker Face'.
