The race for Champions League places is also interesting, as substardard seasons for Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Monchengladbach have Mainz, Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig, Freiburg, and seventh-place Gladbach all hoping for Europe.
The relegation race has less runners than many years, with three teams looking likely to be fighting for the playoff spot but a few more capable of dropping into the discussion with a bad few weeks.
Below, find the leading scorers for this season as well as the most recent standings.
Who will win the Bundesliga in 2024-25?
Bayern Munich look ready to reclaim their title after Bayer Leverkusen's amazing 2023-24 run. Leverkusen are six points back of Bayern while no one else is anywhere near the duo as Borussia Dortmund are all the way down in 11th. Bayern do not meet Leverkusen again and are likely to be champions again.
Who will be relegated from the Bundesliga?
FC St Pauli and Holstein Kiel were promoted last season, but they're having different times in the bottom half of the table. St. Pauli, so far, have earned five points breathing room above the bottom three and six clear of the two automatic relegation spots. Holstein Kiel are last with 17 points, three back of the playoff spot held by 16th-place Bochum.
Heidenheim's in 19th place and surprising Hoffenheim and Union Berlin are both not safe yet.
Are there any American players in Bundesliga?
Quite a few!
Joe Scally is an every-game starter for Borussia Monchengladbach, while James Sands was having a great early start to his FC St Pauli career before suffering an ankle injury. Giovanni Reyna continues his stop-start recent history with Borussia Dortmund.
Lennard Maloney (Mainz by way of Heidenheim) and Jordan Pefok (Union Berlin) have featured plenty for their clubs while Noahkai Banks (Augsburg), Timmy Chandler (Eintracht Frankfurt), John Tolkin (Holstein Kiel), and young Cole Campbell (Dortmund) have all made appearances in the league this season.

Premier League football set for yet another new live streaming home

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Credit: Liverpool FC / Getty Images Quick Summary Warner Bros Discovery will reportedly split into two companies again, with different services and shows being moved around. Advertisement One confirmed outcome is that TNT Sports streaming will switch from Discovery+ to HBO Max when it launches in the UK and Ireland next year. We've had a fair few streaming homes for live Premier League football matches over the years. Amazon, BT Sport and Discovery+ have each shown games on their streaming services. And that's on top of Sky's own services, including Now. It has meant that if you're a die-hard fan who struggles to get to the games yourself, you've had to shell out for numerous paid subscriptions to follow your team on TV and online. However, it looks like we'll soon get another. Advertisement The owner of TNT Sports and Discovery+ is reportedly going through a shake-up, with the parent company Warner Bros Discovery said to be splitting again after merging just three years ago. And, as part of the split, international sports coverage will be heading to HBO Max. It's claimed that includes TNT Sports' Premier League rights. Earlier this year, TNT Sports extended its rights package with the Premier League to continue to show 52 live matches per season up to and including the 2028/29 season. They can be seen on traditional broadcast platforms (with a subscription), but are also hosted by Discovery+. But it is now said (via RXTV) that the Discovery+ streaming service is heading to a newly formed Global Networks division as part of the WBD split, along with standard live TV services, such as Quest and the Food Network. Advertisement A new Streaming & Studios business will take on HBO, HBO Max and all sports services outside of the US. A spokesperson for WBD confirmed to RXTV that TNT Sports will be part of HBO Max when it launches in the UK and Ireland in early 2026. What about Sky's Premier League coverage? Sky's Premier League coverage will be untouched by the WBD split. Indeed, it is ramping up the amount of live matches it will offer across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, Sky Q and Now to 215 from next season. That's a dramatic increase on the 128 matches it broadcast in 2024/25. Ironically though, Sky will lose exclusive rights to HBO programming from the end of 2025. It has been the home of the likes of Game of Thrones, Succession and The Last of Us for many years, but the arrival of HBO Max means those shows will be available across multiple platforms from next year. Sky has struck a deal to carry HBO Max on its TV services though, so you'll still get to see them there too.

Ryan Gravenberch wins premier league young player of the season

The ex-Ajax starlet has been a revelation in a deeper role for Liverpool, and just two years after leaving Bayern Munich, he has been crowned as the Hublot Young Player of the Season. With one match left of the 38-game season, Gravenberch has missed just one match, and recorded four assists as Liverpool comfortable won their 20th top division title, with it being their second in the Premier League era. Despite not scoring, the 23-year-old edged beat fellow nominees Liam Delap, Anthony Elanga, Dean Huijsen, Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, Morgan Rogers and William Saliba. He becomes the first Liverpool player to win the award since Trent Alexander-Arnold in 2019-20, and the first Dutchman to do so. Advertisement Having left Ajax for Munich for a fee of €18 million in 2022, he then made the move to Merseyside just a year later for approximately £35 million. Initially spending his first season under the legendary figure of Jürgen Klopp, he played more of a rotational role in the squad, often impacting games from the left side of central midfield. However this campaign the arrival of former Feyenoord boss Arne Slot has been catalyst for his development. Now playing as a defensive midfielder alongside Alexis Mac Allister, the powerful midfielder has improved the defensive side of his game, whilst still retaining his excellent ball-carrying, a skill that he has possessed since his youthful days in the Ajax academy. Despite enjoying a fantastic season on both an individual and team level, Gravenberch will be dreaming of more as his promising career goes from strength-to-strength. GBENeFN | Samuel Fabre
