All Saints' Melanie Blatt in tears as she shares update on mum's health setback
Melanie Blatt was left in tears during an interview on Good Morning Britain as she opened up about her time on Celebrity Race Across the World with her mum Helene.
The All Saints singer became emotional as she was shown a clip from her time on the show where her mum spoke about the star's battle with scoliosis. "Mum doesn't cry, we don't have those moments. We're quite a bullish family so you're making me cry just seeing it again," she told hosts Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley.
"She's also literally in recovery from having some valves put into her heart, it's her first big thing so she's at home. Hi mum I love you!
"It was really emotional - it wasn't always fun but I'm so pleased that I got to spend a month travelling around with mum."

Kerry Katona recalls her mum giving her drugs when she was just 14 and admits 'cocaine was her only friend'
Kerry Katona recalled been given drugs for the first time by her own mother when she was just 14-years-old. The former Atomic Kitten singer, 44, who has now been sober for over 15 years, admitted that at one point 'cocaine was her only friend.' Kerry told of how she thought her 'mum's love and affection was in a bag of coke' and that 'it was normal.' Speaking in an interview with OK! magazine this week, she recalled: 'Mum gave me drugs when I was 14. She was my mum, so I thought it was normal. But that's a very unhealthy co-dependency. 'It was the most disgusting thing I'd ever tasted. But I soon got used to the high it gave me. Cocaine was the only thing that was always there for me.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Kerry continued: 'I was in such despair. I thought my mum's love and affection was in a bag of coke. But it's not normal or healthy, is it?' She went on to recall how everything changed when she realised she 'didn't want to be this person' after sharing a hidden bag of cocaine with her mum. Kerry checked herself into rehab in 2008 and again in 2010 and has been sober ever since. After struggling with addiction in the past, last year revealed she was having reconstructive surgery done to combat the damage done by cocaine. Showing off the results of the surgery to Good Morning Britain hosts hosts Ranvir Singh and Richard Madeley last year, she explained it had been her mum who first gave her drugs as a young teen. Discussing her addiction, she explained: 'I think cocaine became my crutch, it was my best friend, it gave the support I needed, when I needed it. 'I didn't do it everyday, I was more of a binger - once I started I couldn't stop. And then I could go months without it. It just became my best friend because everyone was using me really. Detailing how dependent she was at the time, she admitted: 'I actually OD'd at one point and got back up and took another line of cocaine straight away.' Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Kerry opened up about her dependency on cocaine and how it caused her nose to collapse Showing off the results of the surgery to hosts Ranvir Singh and Richard Madeley , she explained it had been her mum who first gave her drugs as a young teen Kerry recalled: 'I started drugs when I was 14, before I was famous. My first drug I took was with my mum. 'I adore my mum and I love my mum, but we've had our ups and downs and my mum wasn't really a mum. She told me it was sherbet and it was speed and I thought that was normal!' She went on to say that she had moved on from her past however, saying: 'My mum wasn't very well. It is what it is, it's happened I can't sit with regret and hatred. 'I have to accept people who there are. My mum is drug free. But for a very long time I lived in a pity party, saying "poor me, the world owes me, it's everyone's fault but mine". I sometimes think what would've happened if I'd died from an overdose, like my late husband George. The pain and shame for my family doesn't bear thinking about.'

Holly Willoughby looks happier than ever as she poses in her bikini and cuddles two pals
HOLLY Willoughby looked happier than ever as she posed in her bikini and cuddled two pals. Presenter Holly, 44, couldn't stop smiling as she sat on the floor with her arms wrapped around Director of Artist Relations at Universal Music, Shiarra Bell, and All Saints star Nicole Appleton. Wearing her hair in a carefree messy bun, Holly looked relaxed and glowing as she embraced her pals on holiday in a mystery destination. Posting the snap to Instagram, she kept the caption simple with a single red heart emoji, tagging both friends. The former This Morning host's celeb buddies filled the comments section with their well wishes. Emma Bunton wrote: "There's my gorgeous girls!!!" while Lisa Snowdon said: "The cutest pic!" and Christine Lampard inserted a string of heart-eyed emojis. It's been an incredibly testing few years for former ITV treasure Holly, with her work life as she knew it crumbling around her. For the first time in years, she has been left without a TV show - and she's now at a serious crossroads and is poised to start a new chapter in her career. Once the princess of ITV, she is currently 'showless' with her beloved channel for the first time in 21 years. With her time on ITV's This Morning now a distant memory, Holly was looking likely to land a series of lucrative deals with the streamers. But in a further blow - her new Netflix show, Bear Hunt, with Bear Grylls, has been axed. The news comes just weeks after Dancing On Ice was axed and on top of that, she has made the decision to step down from You Bet!, leaving Stephen Mulhern to present alone. She is set to appear briefly in the next series, but will no longer be hosting it. It marks a huge shift in her work with ITV. One option for the star could be a reboot of Record Breakers, which Holly's husband Dan Baldwin is already working on. There is currently no channel attached to the show, which is in its very early stages but sources say it would be a "perfect fit". A telly insider said: "Record Breakers is likely to be a prime time hit and it would make perfect sense for Holly to take the reins. "She has worked alongside Dan before and the pair know what it takes to make great telly." She has also been linked to a reboot of Cilla Black's best-known show, Blind Date. The Sun told this week how the ITV classic is being revived - and in a surprise twist will go to global streaming service Disney+. Producers want to keep the tradition of a top British female host, with a shortlist including Claudia Winkleman, Holly Willoughby and Davina McCall. Sources say Holly is also being looked at for a new Channel 4 talent show, currently dubbed Secret Singers, which is searching for raw, undiscovered singing talent. Love Productions - the creators of The Great British Bake Off and The Piano - have already put out a casting call. An insider said: "This is likely to be a heartwarming and hugely popular show for all the family. "They are looking for a the perfect host to make sure it's a huge success and it could be perfect timing with Holly's break in TV." Holly returned to TV last year after 18 months - she had stepped down from presenting work entirely after discovering a plot to kidnap and murder her. Evil Gavin Plumb was given three life sentences for planning to break into her home, then sedate, abduct and kill her and her husband. It came just months after a very public falling out with her co-host Phillip Schofield, which ended with him leaving the show in May 2023. Changes are happening behind the scenes, too. Holly has a big decision to make with her media company Roxy after it was revealed she owes a huge amount to the tax man. Roxy was set up in 2008 by Holly with husband Dan Baldwin. But it wasn't until 2022 that Holly filed the first annual accounts for her all-female ran company after she made the decision to leave former talent agency YMU in 2020. Roxy Media deals with TV show 'production activities', according to its listing on Companies House. But just three years on, Roxy has now been slapped with a winding up order. Action against the company was launched in January and the court was told Holly's company has already settled a bill of £377,000 with the taxman, with an unknown amount still owed. In recent weeks Holly has turned to close friend Christine for support. Like Holly she has enjoyed long stints with ITV, but has also stepped away from them at times. Sources have said that Holly is inspired by Christine's career and her work-life balance and is hoping to emulate that herself. They said: 'Holly is ready for a rebrand and has definitely been looking at those around her for inspiration.' Addressing her incredibly difficult time, Holly recently told The Sunday Times Style Magazine: 'It's been tough. There's no way of sugar-coating it.' Discussing why she felt moving forward was her only option, Holly said: 'Sometimes things go wrong, but you have to keep going for it because that's all you can do.' And it looks like Holly is moving forward - but not before making some serious changes. 4 4 4

Strictly's Dianne Buswell reveals all on engagement ring blunder after leaving fans certain she and partner Joe Sugg were planning on getting married
has revealed the truth about a social media blunder which left fans certain she was engaged to Joe Sugg. The dancer, 36, and her YouTuber partner, 33, struck up a romance when they were paired together during the sixteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2018. Seven years later and the couple are still together living in their own £3.5million Brighton mansion, with Dianne and Joe even talking about the possibility of children. But Joe's yet to get down on one knee, despite Dianne leaving Strictly fans certain he had done so earlier this year. During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, Susanna Reid asked the dancer about the perceived hint she dropped after travelling Down Under. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The 54-year-old questioned: 'I want to ask you because there was a lot of speculation about the fact you might have got engaged over the past couple of days!' To which Dianne responded: 'I was in Australia and it was quite hot over there and I'd just flown in and my fingers get a little bit swollen on the plane. 'I had a couple of rings on my right hand, which I also do right now, but because my fingers were swollen I had to take them off and put them onto my right hand - I didn't even know this was the (the left hand) one that where the engagement ring goes! 'I was taking pictures with my family and I put them online so everyone thought I was engaged. I'm not engaged.' Co-presenter Ed Balls then joked: 'Joseph, what you doing? What's he doing, seriously?,' as Dianne chuckled. Despite Joe yet to brandish an engagement ring, he and Dianne have been open about their plans to start a family. Just a couple of weeks ago the professional dancer teased her baby plans in a new interview as she got involved with a campaign for the children's show Bluey. The 36-year-old told The Mirror: 'I was always the babysitter for all my little cousins – I've always been a real lover of children. They fascinate me so much.' Speaking of her new series of Bluey Dance alongs she added: 'I always think that in the future, if I was to have my own kids, that they would be able to potentially watch this. 'It plays at the back of my mind and that's pretty cool.' However Dianne had previously admitted juggling children with her hectic career in the world of showbiz could be a challenge. The star, who lifted the Glitterball Trophy last year, revealed that time spent with her nieces and nephews over Christmas triggered serious baby fever. She told The Sun: 'I would like to have children, 100 per cent. 'Joe and I love kids, and that's definitely something that we would absolutely love. I haven't really thought about how many I would like. It will definitely happen.' Dianne is currently preparing to hit the road for a 30-date UK tour with fellow Strictly dancer Vito Coppola, while also promoting a new podcast with 2023 partner Chris McCausland. She said: 'My job is quite demanding and I love it so much. 'It is a tough one to balance out and think about. It would take a lot of thought, but eventually one day we'll get there, but there is lots happening at the moment. It will happen when it's supposed to.' Joe found fame with his 'ThatcherJoe' YouTube channel before launching spin-offs 'ThatcherJoeVlogs' and 'ThatcherJoeGames'. In December Joe shared a sweet, gushing message to celebrate his girlfriend Dianne and her Strictly partner Chris McCausland after they were victorious on the BBC show. The duo were crowned 2024's champions after the comedian made history as the show's first-ever blind contestant and winner. Chris pipped fellow finalists Tasha Ghouri, JB Gill and Sarah Hadland to the post in the 'best ever' final, with his cheeky wit and inspiring story helping to save the show following a year of scandals. Joe proudly shared a gallery of pictures praising the dancer for her hard work and 'determination'. He wrote: 'There are no words to describe how proud I am of you both @diannebuswell @chrismccauslandcomedy, Last night was an absolute movie. 'You made us laugh, you made us cry and you proved to the world that you are good enough and you can achieve anything the doubters say you can't and more. 'Chris I thank you for making this year so special for Dianne and I could not be happier that you're the partner she finally lifted the glitterball with. 'Dot, it's been a long winding, road full of ups and downs for 7 years but you have shown pure determination & dedication and you finally got there in the best way possible and everyone has been able to see how amazing you are and what an incredible teacher you are this year.
