Taylor Swift reminisces about The Eras Tour and announces new album \
On their show, "New Heights," Swift announced a new album coming on Oct. 3 called "The Life of a Show Girl" and spoke candidly about her career, The Eras Tour, reclaiming her masters and the early stages of her and Travis' relationship.
Here's what to know.
While Swift misses The Eras Tour, she admits it was a very physically taxing tour.
"I do miss it, but it was perfect for what it was. Do you know what I mean? It was a lot of physical therapy and it was a lot of being in a state of perpetual physical discomfort, kind of like when you're in season," she said to Travis and Jason.
Swift went on a world tour from 2023-2024 where she went to 52 cities and 21 countries, including a three night tour stop at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Indianapolis was the last U.S. stop on her world tour.
"I miss it because I miss the fans and I miss that connection, but at the same time it was the most formative time of my life," Swift said. "I learned so much about how far I can push myself and if I set a goal... It's really just prioritizing fan's experience before anything else."

Swift also announced a brand new album titled "The Life of a Showgirl," which she wrote while on the road for The Eras Tour, she shared on the podcast.
"This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant," Swift said.
Unlike her previous album, "The Tortured Poets Department," that was initially 16 tracks that was a surprise double album with 15 additional songs, Swift says "The Life of a Showgirl" will be 12 tracks total, with no surprise songs.
The album is set to release on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025.
'Life of a Showgirl': Did Taylor Swift announce a new album? When's the release date? What we know
Swift has had a long history of trying to obtain the master recordings of her first six albums in her career and she announced earlier this year that her dream of owning all her life's work finally came true in May.
On "New Heights," she shared the story of how it finally happened.
After The Eras Tour her team decided it might be worth approaching the owners of her masters, Shamrock Capital, again to see if they would be willing to sell.
"Rather than send lawyers or management like in a big crew, I sent my mom and my brother, who I work with, to L.A. and they sat down with Shamrock Capital and they told them what this meant for me..."
Swift's mom and brother left the meeting saying that they weren't sure what they would decide to do.
Swift later got the call from her mom saying Shamrock Capital agreed to sell to her, which resulted in tears of joy for Swift.

Britney Spears Feels Taylor Swift's Album Cover Is Copied From Hers, Says Source
album art for 'The Life of a Showgirl' has reportedly irked pop icon . According to a source, the 'Toxic' hitmaker has accused the 35-year-old of copying her wardrobe in the announcement cover. Spears seemingly felt 'ripped off.' Moreover, she is apparently not alone in this. Pamela Anderson reportedly also feels the same. Sources say Britney Spears wants credit in Taylor Swift's album cover Due to her album art, Taylor Swift has allegedly managed to land in the bad books of two icons of the entertainment industry — Britney Spears and Pamela Anderson. They reportedly accused the 'Lover' soloist of reusing their looks and styles from their past work in her album cover. The report came soon after Swift shared the album art of TS12, 'The Life of a Showgirl.' In it, she donned a bedazzled thong paired with a rhinestone-adorned bra. A source told RadarOnline that Spears claimed that she wore the same look in her 2001 The Dream Within a Dream Tour. Hence, she seemingly demanded a 'credit in the liner notes' of Swift's album. Meanwhile, a friend of the 43-year-old informed the outlet why Spears was upset. She didn't have any issue with the 'Cruel Summer' artist getting inspired by her look. She felt disappointed because she was not given any credit. 'To see it repackaged without so much as a nod feels wrong,' said the pal. On the other hand, Anderson also felt that she had not been 'properly acknowledged.' An insider revealed the 'Baywatch' alum found that Swift's new album apparently derived inspiration from her 2024 movie, 'The Last Showgirl.' In the pop sensation's 12th studio album cover, the 'vintage Vegas aesthetic' and palette appeared to be similar to Anderson's film. 'Credits in the liner notes for her and Brit would be the classy thing to do,' a source said. Meanwhile, in an episode of the 'New Heights' podcast, the 'Fearless' vocalist touched upon her album's context. She told her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, that it's all about 'what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life' during her Eras Tour. She referred to the time as 'exuberant and electric and vibrant,' hinting at her dazzling album art. Originally reported by Suushmmita Sen on RealityTea.
