Czechia and Ukraine to train F-16 pilots in joint programme
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and his Czech counterpart, Petr Fiala, have agreed to cooperate in training Ukrainian pilots for F-16 fighters.

Details: During their meeting in the western Ukrainian city of Uzhhorod on 20 May, Shmyhal and Fiala agreed upon cooperation in training Ukrainian pilots for F-16 aircraft, other types of aircraft, and helicopters.
According to the statement, this agreement will be accompanied by the development of simulation capacities and training in Ukraine and Czechia.
The statement emphasised that the training will also include technical ground personnel through the implementation of specific modernisation projects.
The prime ministers also underlined the importance of further increasing military, financial, economic and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
Shmyhal and Fiala emphasised strengthening cooperation between the defence industries of Ukraine and Czechia through joint efforts and technology licensing, aligned with the goals and mechanisms of the Readiness 2030 plan (presented by the European Commission in March 2024, aiming to leverage over €800 billion in defence spending), as well as collaboration in third markets.

On 4 May, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine and Czechia are working on the establishment of a joint Ukrainian-Czech F-16 training school.
A few days later, it was reported that Romania and the Netherlands will establish a joint centre to train Ukrainian technical personnel for the F-16 fighter jets.

This food truck and restaurant served Miami for 15 years. Now it's closing in MiMo
After 15 years of sharing gorgeously gooey, cheesy goodness, a popular Miami sandwich restaurant is closing its doors. Ms. Cheezious, which was opened by Christian Dickens and husband-and-wife team Brian and Fatima Mullins, started in 2010 as a roving food truck. The Mullins opened their first brick-and-mortar spot in the MiMo district in 2015 at 7418 Biscayne Blvd., serving up melts like the grilled blue (cheese) and bacon, a short rib melt and a very Miami croqueta monsieur melt. On the brand's Instagram account, the restaurant's social media team explained that the building the restaurant is in has been sold. 'Our beloved restaurant will be closing its doors at this location due to the sale of the building,' the post said. 'We cannot express how grateful we are for your support over the past 10 + years. Each visit, each meal shared, and each smile has meant the world to us. You have become a part of our family, and we will cherish these memories forever.' The brand went on to say that it is 'building out a new location and actively searching for other locations,' then asks fans for any leads on other possible locations. Ms. Cheezious' food trucks are still available for catering and events, and the restaurant plans to be available for delivery and pickup through its website. Ms. Cheezious made its debut at Art Basel in 2010. Its sandwiches were so popular, it doubled its sales in its first year of existence and the Mullinses bought a second truck. In 2012 and 2013, it won the People's Choice Award for Best Food Truck at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival and went on to be named to the Food Network's Top 25 Food Trucks in the Country. In early May, one of the brand's food trucks was serving up their famous melts at the F-1 Miami Grand Prix. The final day of service at the MiMo location will be June 12.

Brit Hume pushes back on Trump: Ukraine ‘has quite a few cards to play'
Fox News's chief political analyst Brit Hume on Monday pushed back on previous comments made by President Trump about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after Ukraine's successful drone attack earlier this week. Trump has claimed more than once that the Ukrainian leader lacked 'cards' when it came to his country's negotiations amid the over three-years long war with Russia. 'Don't tell us what we're going to feel. You're in no position to dictate that. You don't have the cards right now. With us, you start having cards,' Trump told Zelensky during a contentious Oval Office meeting in February. On Fox News's 'Special Report' on Monday, Hume objected to the president's statement after anchor Shannon Bream mentioned the recent drone attack in which Ukraine struck one of its most devastating blows in the war against Russia. 'It certainly does establish that this country whose president was being told at the White House that he didn't have any cards to play, that he apparently has quite a few cards to play, including this daring attack,' Hume responded in a clip highlighted by Mediaite. In a thread on the social media platform X on Sunday, Zelensky said 'a brilliant operation was carried out — on enemy territory' that day. 'The preparation took over a year and a half. Planning, organi[z]ation, every detail was perfectly executed. It can be said with confidence that this was an absolutely unique operation,' Zelensky wrote about the attack. Trump, who has recently pushed for an end to the war between Ukraine and Russia, was not given a heads-up about the attack by Ukraine, according to The Hill's sister network NewsNation.
