Official: Barcelona squad list to face Real Valladolid – three new faces called up
Barcelona will be aiming to take a step closer towards winning the La Liga title when they take on Real Valladolid at Estadio Jose Zorrilla tonight.
The Blaugrana, though, will have an eye on Wednesday's UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg vs Inter Milan and as such heavy rotations are expected.

Ahead of the trip to Valladolid, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has announced the squad list of players for the game with some new faces called up.
Indeed, the Barça head coach has named Barça Atletic trio Noah Darvich, Dani Rodriguez, and Landry Farre in the squad for tonight's game against Valladolid, with one or more of them in line for a senior debut.
Meanwhile, Marc-Andre ter Stegen is back in the squad after being unavailable for the Champions League tie in midweek and will be starting in goal tonight ahead of Wojciech Szczesny.
Alejandro Balde, Robert Lewandowski, Marc Casado, Jules Kounde, and Marc Bernal remain unavailable for selection at this point. The left-back and the striker, though, are expected to be back for the UCL clash next week.

Pablo Torre, who was tipped for a starting berth tonight, is also left out due to discomfort.

Real Betis star in Qatar to finalise transfer
A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Real Betis is on the verge of a move away from the club. That's according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Youssouf Sabaly as the player in question. Advertisement Right-back Sabaly has for his part been hotly tipped for a Real Betis exit this summer. Ahead of the expiration of his contract terms in Seville in 12 months' time, the Verdiblancos have opened to the prospect of a sale, to ensure a funds boost to make use of on the market. And as alluded to above, this week, the brass at the Benito Villamarín appear to have found their buyers. As per a report from MD: 'Youssouf Sabaly is currently in Doha to undergo medical examinations and finalise the details of his signing for the Qatari club Al Duhail.' Real Betis are expected to secure a transfer fee in the region of €2 million for the 32-year-old right-back. Conor Laird – GSFN

Official: Inter Milan Announce Squad For FIFA Club World Cup – Both Summer Signings Make The List New Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu has named his 33-man squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States. Chivu will lead the Nerazzurri expedition in North America after taking the managerial reins from Simone Inzaghi. Advertisement Despite a lack of experience in senior management, the 44-year-old will try to help Inter forget a gut-wrenching season. Indeed, the 20-time Italian champions finished the 2024/25 empty-handed. Therefore, the Club World Cup could be a perfect opportunity for the team to bounce back. Inter Milan Name 33-Man Squad for FIFA Club World Cup MILAN, ITALY – APRIL 16: Lautaro Martinez, Nicolo Barella and Federico Dimarco of FC Internazionale celebrate their victory at the end of the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Quarter Final Second Leg match between FC Internazionale Milano and FC Bayern München at San Siro on April 16, 2025 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by) Chivu's list features summer additions and all long-serving stalwarts, including the injured Hakan Calhanoglu and Yann Bisseck. Furthermore, both summer acquisitions have already chosen their numbers. Luis Henrique, who joined the club from Marseille, will don the No.11 shirt previously worn by Joaquin Correa. Advertisement Meanwhile, Petar Sucic will take the No.8 jersey from Marko Arnautovic, whose contract at San Siro expires at the end of June. Unfortunately, Inter missed out on signing Ange-Yoan Bonny ahead of the tournament.

Club World Cup: Jack Grealish left out of Man City squad
MIAMI (AP) — Jack Grealish has been left out of Manchester City's squad for the Club World Cup. City manager Pep Guardiola named a 27-man squad for the tournament, which kicks off in Miami on Saturday, with Grealish a notable omission. Advertisement The England forward was a British record signing when he moved to City from Aston Villa for 100 million pounds ($139 million then) in 2021 and went on to help the club win three Premier League titles, the Champions League and a host of other trophies. But he has become an increasingly peripheral figure and made only seven league starts last season. The 29-year-old Grealish's absence from the Club World Cup will add to the growing expectation that he will leave during the offseason, with Guardiola embarking on a squad rebuild following the team's first trophyless season in eight years. City's squad includes four new players signed in time to take part in the month-long tournament in the United States: Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Marcus Bettinelli. Advertisement In January, City also spent big to sign Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis as Guardiola began his overhaul of a squad that saw its dominance of English soccer broken by Liverpool last season. If Grealish goes, he is likely to be one of a number of players to move on. Kevin De Bruyne is leaving at the end of his contract this month and Kyle Walker is also likely to go after a loan move to AC Milan in January; as expected, neither player was in the squad. City's first match at the 32-team tournament is against Wydad Casablanca next Wednesday in Philadelphia. The other teams in the group are Juventus and Abu Dhabi's Al Ain. ___ James Robson is at ___ AP soccer: James Robson, The Associated Press
