Bomb threat evacuates Utah County Administrative building in Provo
PROVO, Utah () — Police are on scene investigating an active bomb threat at the Utah County Administration buildings, officials confirmed with ABC4.com on Tuesday.
Details on the threats are limited, however, Sgt. Raymond Ormond with the Utah County Sheriff's Office said deputies were on the scene assisting the Provo Police Department with the investigation.
The bomb threat was reportedly given to the County's Treasury Department, forcing all departments within the building to evacuate as a precautionary measure.
Janna-Lee Holland, a spokesperson for the Provo Police Department, said the Metro Bomb Squad is actively conducting a sweep of the building and is asking the public to avoid the area of 100 East and Center Street as the investigation continues.

Rep. Luna: China is dangerous, behind funding of protests
(NewsNation) — Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican, announced the House Oversight committee will be calling China-based billionaire Neville Singham to testify regarding the funding of a group that organized protests in Los Angeles. 'If he refuses to appear, he will be subpoenaed, and if he ignores that, he will be referred to the DOJ for prosecution,' Luna said in a post on social platform X. She alleged that the Party for Socialism and Liberation, a Communist political party to which Singham has previously donated, is also receiving funding from the Chinese Communist Party. The committee will be looking into links between Singham and the CCP, as well. Luna joined NewsNation's 'CUOMO' on Wednesday to discuss the investigation. She said she believes Singham and the CCP are purposely trying to create division within the United States. She added that she believes they are creating a ruse with the protests and making Hispanic-Americans think the unrest going on is all about the recent ICE raids. ‘We just want to know that she's safe' — Mother of missing West Jordan teen speaks out
WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4) — The mother of the has spoken out about her worries about her daughter's disappearance. Sophia Rojas, 15, was last seen on June 3, and she has had no contact with her friends or family since, according to West Jordan police. She was last seen wearing a grey suit and pants. Police believe that she may be with an adult, and she may be lying about her age. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: Family, police seeking information on missing 15-year-old girl from West Jordan Her mother, Porscha Chavez, spoke to about her daughter's disappearance. 'She took off in the middle of the night, and I haven't heard from her or seen her since,' she said. Chavez told that Sophia left a note, but that the first sentence of the note didn't sound like her. The note said, 'Don't jump into getting the police involved.' The rest of the note said that she had a place to stay, not to worry about her, and not to be mad, that she would be back eventually. Chavez believes that she is with an adult because she left in the middle of the night on a school night and none of her usual circle of friends have heard from her. Sophia also has a history of talking to adults online and lying about her age, Chavez said. Chavez took Sophia's phone away in February for that reason. 'I do feel like she's possibly been groomed. I think that she feels like it's not gonna happen to her, and that she'll be okay, and she has the teenager mindset of nothing's gonna happen to her and she knows everything and she's fine,' she said. Chavez told that she is able to see that Sophia has a different phone signed into her Google account, and Chavez does not know where that phone came from. She is able to see that it is logged in, but she cannot see its location. 'My concerns are that she's with an adult, who may be feeding things to her, and possibly, now that this is getting awareness and stuff, that they may not let her go if she wants to go home,' Chavez said. She also told that she feels like Sophia's case is not getting the attention it deserves because her daughter is not white. Chavez shared what she wants Sophia to hear from her. 'Come home,' she said. 'We just want to know that she's safe, and we want her back home safely.'
