Bomb threat evacuates Utah County Administrative building in Provo
PROVO, Utah () — Police are on scene investigating an active bomb threat at the Utah County Administration buildings, officials confirmed with on Tuesday.
Details on the threats are limited, however, Sgt. Raymond Ormond with the Utah County Sheriff's Office said deputies were on the scene assisting the Provo Police Department with the investigation.
The bomb threat was reportedly given to the County's Treasury Department, forcing all departments within the building to evacuate as a precautionary measure.
Janna-Lee Holland, a spokesperson for the Provo Police Department, said the Metro Bomb Squad is actively conducting a sweep of the building and is asking the public to avoid the area of 100 East and Center Street as the investigation continues.
