Frankie Muniz is at 'a new low' with his mental health

Frankie Muniz is at "a new low" with his mental health. The 39-year-old actor - who has carved out a second career as a NASCAR racing driver in recent years after initially finding fame as a child star - took to social media on Sunday (21.05.25) evening to open up about his struggles. He wrote on X: "If I'm being 100% honest... Mentally/emotionally I may be at a new low. Just wanted to say it out loud." His comments come just weeks after he was competing in a race and eventually finished in 23rd place after being forced to make a pit stop when he struggled to control his vehicle. He later said that that the whole thing was the "hardest thing [he] has ever done and cost him "17 or 18 laps" in total. The former 'Malcolm in the Middle' stat did not elaborate on anything with his new post but has preivously been candid about his struggles with early fame. Speaking on the 'Inside You' podcast earlier this year, he explained: "'I went with my mom up to New York and we were going on like six auditions a day and kind of doing the whole grind. 'And I started booking things and never went back to North Carolina… it was kind of this really weird dynamic to look at now." 'It actually makes me a little bit sad to realise that me following my dream and the things that I got to do affected every single member of my family. 'When it's happening you don't realize the sacrifice that every single person is making for you.' Frankie also told how he was moved by his elderly grandparents being 'willing to help out and do whatever they could do' to help him reach his showbiz dreams. He added: 'This year, it was the first time I thought about the past enough to think about the sacrifice that people made. 'And it made me really sad. Like it made happy that I had people in my life like that. But it's just a crazy thought that without that support, probably none of that happens.'

Olivia Munn reveals she ‘felt like an expectant father' while waiting for her daughter to arrive via surrogate

Olivia Munn knows that in the end it worked out exactly as it should. Although while the actress, 44, was waiting for the arrival of her second child, daughter Méi, now 8 months, via surrogate, she wasn't sure she felt totally connected. Munn, who also shares son Malcom, 3, with husband John Mulaney told People in an interview published Saturday, that waiting for Méi to be born 'was the first time I was like, 'Oh wait, is this what it's like to be an expectant dad?'' 'A lot of times people say, 'Oh, the dads don't really connect with the baby until it's right there in front of them,' ' she explained. 'The dads, they're not carrying the baby. I carried Malcolm, so I understood from the very genesis, like, okay, I've got a life in me. Your body is changing and your energy is changing and your hair is changing and everything's changing, so it feels very real all the time.' This time around, Munn and Mulaney, 42, opted for a surrogate after the 'Buddy Games' alum underwent a double mastectomy and hysterectomy following her breast cancer diagnosis. 'Even though it all felt very real for me, and our surrogate and I spoke all the time and she'd send me videos, it was a little bit of, 'Oh wait, she's coming,'' Munn continued. 'I felt like an expectant father.' 'It was important to do it at that moment, but it was also scary because my type of cancer feeds on hormones, and there are a lot of hormone injections with IVF,' the 'Your Friends & Neighbors' star said about deciding to do an egg retrieval before her cancer surgeries. After the procedure, Munn shared she was able to retrieve seven eggs, with two of the embryos being 'strong enough to be tested for abnormalities and the gender.' 'I remember I was on a walk with John, and I said, 'I really don't think that I'll be okay unless we get two girl embryos. I know this puts me at risk, but I just need you to support me,' ' Munn recounted. 'He said, 'Whatever you need.' ' The Hollywood vet's doctor then called and confirmed she had two healthy female embryos. As Munn put it, 'that was a sign for me everything was going to be okay.' And when it came to choosing a surrogate to carry their daughter, one thing in particular mattered most: 'The number one thing that I wanted in a surrogate was someone who was kind.' She added, 'I just wanted her to be kind, and I needed her to understand that this is a path that I had to go on. This is not a choice I would've made for myself.' 'The first thing I worried about was if I would be able to find somebody who would love and take care of my daughter as much as I would,' Munn went on. 'We were so lucky to find someone so kind who we bonded with so much.' Despite finding someone they trusted, 'The Daily Show' alum 'had a concern of 'Will my daughter know me?' ' Once their little one arrived, all worries washed away for the mom-of-two. 'Méi would cry, and I was the only one who could get her to stop,' she said. 'I knew she knew me, and I knew her. She's got this stick-straight hair that I had when I was a baby. I think because I wasn't able to carry her, I really needed to see myself in her. I see myself in her so much.' Looking at where her life is now, two years after receiving a life altering cancer diagnosis, Munn gushed: 'It's so crazy to think that I'm sitting here with two amazing babies. I'm just so happy and grateful, and I'm really proud of what I've been able to do. I didn't know how much strength I had inside me.' Elsewhere in the interview, the 'Attack of the Show!' vet admitted that she and her other half might not be entirely done having kids. The pair still have one viable frozen female embryo. 'Two [kids] is a lot,' she told the outlet. 'We're still talking if we are done growing our family.' In May, Mulaney took a moment to praise his wife of almost a year. The comedian said while on the SiriusXM podcast, 'Where Everybody Knows Your Name,' 'I always look back on her the when she was diagnosed in April [2023], through that whole year and go, 'She wasn't just courageous, but she was also so fun … like, we had so much fun.' ' 'It's weird; I go through iPhone photos and I go, 'Oh that's you, me, and Malcolm in the backyard with the kiddie pool when he decided to just pour so many pebbles into the storm drain and clog it up and whatever it was,' and … that was 3 weeks after your lymph node dissection.' Mulaney noted that 'it wasn't just the courage of it. She also was just giving us — it's always just her greatest best self throughout it.'

Olivia Munn was left feeling like an ‘expectant dad' while waiting for her daughter to arrive via surrogacy

Olivia Munn was left feeling like an 'expectant dad' while waiting for her daughter to arrive via surrogacy. The 44-year-old actress has son Malcolm, three, with her comedian husband John Mulaney, 42, andhe couple expanded their family through surrogacy following Olivia's breast cancer diagnosis in April 2023. Reflecting on the emotional journey of welcoming her now eight-month-old daughter Méi via surrogate, Olivia told People: 'It was the first time I was like, 'Oh wait, is this what it's like to be an expectant dad?'' After undergoing extensive treatment — including a lymph node dissection, nipple delay procedure, and double mastectomy — Olivia faced surgical menopause following the removal of her uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries during her cancer battle. 'It was important to do it at that moment, but it was also scary because my type of cancer feeds on hormones, and there are a lot of hormone injections with IVF,' she said, referring to the fertility preservation process she underwent before her hysterectomy. Her doctor devised a special IVF protocol tailored for cancer patients, enabling Olivia to retrieve seven eggs. 'At my age, about one in 10 eggs is healthy,' she explained. After fertilisation, two embryos were 'strong enough to be tested for abnormalities and the gender'. She and John hoped for a girl, with Olivia saying: 'I remember I was on a walk with John, and I said, 'I really don't think that I'll be okay unless we get two girl embryos. I know this puts me at risk, but I just need you to support me,'' she recalled. Mulaney responded: ''Whatever you need.'' That same day, Olivia received a call confirming both embryos were female. 'That was a sign for me everything was going to be okay,' she said. The couple then embarked on the 'emotional process' of finding a surrogate. 'The number one thing that I wanted in a surrogate was someone who was kind,' Olivia said. A friend's recommendation led them to an agency, which presented two potential surrogates. One candidate expressed a desire to help someone who had survived cancer. 'After meeting with her, I knew she was the right person to carry our daughter,' Olivia said. She added: 'The first thing I worried about was if I would be able to find somebody who would love and take care of my daughter as much as I would. 'We were so lucky to find someone so kind who we bonded with so much.'

Stone Cold Steve Austin's Chill Call to Dale Jr. Catches Everyone Off Guard

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. How often does one get a call from Stone Cold Steve Austin, just to "chit-chat?" Amy Earnhardt opened up on a recent experience when the WWE icon called her husband, Dale Earnhardt Jr., to chat about the Earnhardt docuseries on Amazon Prime. Amy explained how Stone Cold called Dale Jr. while they were heading to the beach in the car and described it as a "gossip" call. Being a totally unexpected encounter, Amy questioned the surreal experience on the Bless Your 'Hardt podcast. She said: "His [Junior's] phone's always tethered to the car, because he's playing music. A phone call pops up, and it says Steve Austin, and he goes, 'Oh, Steve Austin's calling.' I'm like Steve Austin? Stone Cold? Stone Cold's calling while we're driving down to the beach? What is this life? How cool is this for you? Dale Earnhardt Jr. speaks on the NASCAR on Prime Video broadcast set after the NASCAR Cup Series Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville Superspeedway on June 01, 2025 in Lebanon, Tennessee. Dale Earnhardt Jr. speaks on the NASCAR on Prime Video broadcast set after the NASCAR Cup Series Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville Superspeedway on June 01, 2025 in Lebanon, Tennessee."He answers the phone, they're chit-chatting. I can hear Stone Cold because he's talking so loud, and he's wanting to talk about the documentary and DW [Darrell Waltrip], and he's asking all kinds of questions. He literally just called to chit-chat and kind of gossip, to be honest! "It was grateful. I got to listen in because he was talking so loud. I got to hear all the things. But that doesn't happen in everybody else's life, and it's neat to have the perspective. Stone Cold calling too in the middle of the day just to chit-chat was fun." Dale Jr. didn't hold back his thoughts on the pleasant surprise and revealed the attention he was receiving through the docuseries after its release on May 22. He added: "It's weird. They kind of come in spurts, so there'll be a lull of life being pretty regular and normal and then you know something like the documentary happens and all of a sudden all these little quirky things start happening and then it kind of teeters off. That was cool, I hadn't talked to Stone Cold Steve Austin in years. He just wanted to ask a couple questions about that documentary." Dale Jr. explained that the docuseries aimed to introduce his father, NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Sr., whose contribution to the sport was immense. Speaking before the release of the docuseries, he said to the media: "We're so far down the line from his passing and his impact on the sport that a large portion of our fan base in NASCAR has never seen him race. I feel like it was a great opportunity to introduce him to people that don't know him that well. There's even drivers in [the Cup Series] field on Sunday that don't know what this person was all about."
