Samsung Galaxy A07, F07, and M07 are on the way
Samsung Android
Samsung is working on a trio of new entry-level smartphones, the Galaxy A07, F07, and M07. For reference, note that the A06 arrived in August of last year and the A06 5G in February, alongside the F06 5G and the M06 5G.
So we may be a ways off from the launch of the A07, M07, and F07. Still, all three of them have now been certified for sale in India by BIS, seemingly in 4G-only iterations based on their model numbers.
Unfortunately, the certification doesn't reveal any specs whatsoever, but you probably shouldn't expect major upgrades from the last generation.
The Galaxy A06 4G comes with a 6.7-inch 720x1600 LCD screen, the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, 4/6GB of RAM, 64/128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP depth sensor, an 8 MP selfie camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging. Infinix Hot 60i 5G arrives with the Dimensity 6400 SoC and 6,000 mAh battery
Sagar, 16 August 2025 Infinix launched the Hot 60i 4G in July, and as promised, the brand today introduced the 5G model. The Infinix Hot 60i 5G is powered by the Dimensity 6400 SoC, runs Android 15-based XOS 15.1, and has 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage onboard, which is expandable by up to 2TB via a microSD card. The Infinix Hot 60i 5G features a 6.75" 120Hz HD+ LCD on the front with 670 nits of peak brightness; however, it has a notch for the selfie camera instead of the punch hole we have on the Hot 60i 4G's screen. The selfie camera's resolution has also been downgraded from 8MP to 5MP. Around the back is a dual camera setup, headlined by a 50MP camera. Infinix didn't mention what the second camera does, but it's probably an auxiliary unit. The Infinix Hot 60i 5G is fueled by a 6,000 mAh battery, which is 840 mAh larger than what its 4G counterpart comes with. The charging speed is significantly reduced from 45W to 18W, though. But for what it's worth, you get 10W of reverse wired charging. The rest of the Infinix Hot 60i 5G's highlights include Infinix AI, a dedicated microSD card slot, an IP64 rating, an IR blaster, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Infinix Hot 60i 5G's color options The Infinix Hot 60i 5G comes in Shadow Blue, Sleek Black, Monsoon Green, and Plum Red colors. It's priced at INR9,299 ($105/€90) and is already available in India through Infinix's official website. It will also be sold through retail stores and Flipkart starting August 21.

This underrated Google app just got its Material 3 Expressive makeover
Google has been busy, busy, busy giving its Android apps Material 3 Expressive makeovers. I have to say that, for the most part, these makeovers have been well changes made to the UIs of these apps have made them easier to use, more useful, and in many cases, the Dynamic Color feature brings in the main color theme from your phone's wallpaper improving the look of the app. The Google Contacts app is now getting its makeover. The update is rolling out now via the Google Play Store. Material 3 Expressive makeover of the Google Contacts app. | Image credit-PhoneArena The new look Contacts app has a bottom bar that is shorter, although the three tabs, Contacts, Highlights, and Organize, remain the same. Pressing on any of the three tabs reveals a major UI improvement as each name is now in an easier to see rounded container, making it easier to see exactly which name you are clicking on. Previously, there was no clear-cut separation between the names of the contacts. Each individual contact also gets a card with a giant avatar and the name of the contact underneath. Directly below the contact's name are four options: The big change to this card with the makeover is that the names of these four actions are now placed inside a pill-shaped field. Previously, the four actions were placed inside of a simple circle. The new look has been found on version 4.6.1.x of the Google Contacts app. To see which version of the app is running on your Android phone, tap on Settings > Apps > See all xxx apps . Scroll down to Contacts and tap on it to visit the Google Contacts App info page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the version of the app installed on your device. My Pixel 6 Pro running Android 16 QPR1 beta 3.1 does have the refreshed version of the Contacts app. The Google Contact card is also given a little makeover. | Image credit-PhoneArena The Material 3 Expressive refresh for Google Contacts might not be the most jarring. Nor is the Contacts app the most heavily used app on your handset. Still, with all of this in mind, Google still worked hard on this makeover; it is enough of an improvement to make the Contacts app more useful and easier for users to employ.
