The case that shocked France has sparked outrage in Paris, with protesters storming into the hospital.
The woman has been charged with suspected sexual assault on minors and distribution of child abuse images.
Meanwhile, her partner has been charged with complicity in the sexual instigation of minors.
The nurse reportedly showed up at a police station to confess after several videos appeared on TikTok warning of "a scandal in a hospital in the 93rd arrondissement".
She also accused her 28-year-old boyfriend of involvement when she went to the cops earlier this week.
The couple allegedly shared the clips of the horrifying crimes with each other.
But these videos got leaked onto social media, bringing the appalling acts into the spotlight.
Videos began circulating on TikTok claiming "two people who work with infants" were mistreating infants.
After these videos went viral online, the nurse reportedly went to the police to report the shocking crimes.
The appalling acts are said to have taken place in December 2024 and January 2025.
And these clips have viscerally angered many people in France, with protesters making their way to the hospital on Saturday.
Furious demonstrators entered the premises and demanded an interview with management, Actu Paris has reported.
Families were among those who protested at the hospital.
But the demonstrators were peacefully evacuated from the building without their request being granted.
Two victims have reportedly been identified following analysis of the videos.
The nurse, who has since been suspended from her role, reportedly indicated to cops that she had filmed the abuse and sent it to her partner.
Both suspects have appeared before court since being taken into police custody.
They have been placed under judicial supervision, despite the prosecution requesting pre-trial detention.
An investigation into the events is ongoing.
The Grand Paris Nord-Est territorial hospital group said on Friday that "this nurse worked exclusively in the neonatal intensive care unit of the Montreuil hospital", Le Monde has reported.
Hospital management added that worried mothers had been calling the facility "even though they had sometimes given birth there a year ago".
They said: "The actions of this nurse, if confirmed by the ongoing police investigation, are a serious personal error that the hospital strongly condemns.
"They are in no way a collective service practice."
The nurse was suspended as a "precautionary measure" pending the investigation.
According to the Bobigny prosecutor's office, the appalling acts would have taken place in December 2024 and January 2025.
While there had been speculation of a racial dimension to the alleged crime, this has been denied by the prosecutor's office.
"There is no racial element in the act," they said.

Authorities have confirmed that information surrounding Martha's death cannot yet be disclosed due to the ongoing investigation. 'I asked him who she was with. Russian war channels suggest sabotage groups will seek to capture the major city, which is close to the front-line - a claim strongly disputed by Ukraine. Separate footage shows Shahed-2 drones striking Dnipropetrovsk region, where four were injured including a 69-year-old woman. Putin's forces also killed at least three Ukrainians in Nikopol, including Danylo Khizhnyak, a 23-year-old firsts responder. Separately, the Russians killed a 62-year-old civilian woman in Huliaipole, near the frontline in Zaporizhzhia region. Moscow released visuals of this week's joint war games with China - Maritime Interaction-2025 - in which the two repressive states conducted artillery combat on a 'simulated enemy' in a show of strength to the West. The savage onslaught comes amid reports of a planned meeting between Trump and Putin to discuss an end to the war. Trump discussed the potential meeting with Putin yesterday during a call with Zelensky and other European leaders, the New York Times reports. Sir Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Nato chief Mark Rutte were among those on the call. Russia vows 'no limits' on nuke missiles in chilling warning to West as Putin throws down gauntlet for Cold War showdown Both Putin and Zelensky have yet to make a response about the meeting that could mark the beginning of the end of Putin's invasion. When asked if he thought Putin was serious about the talks, Trump told reporters: 'Can't answer the question yet. I'll tell you in a matter of weeks, maybe less. But we made a lot of progress.' Meanwhile he vowed more sanctions against countries trading oil with Russia, so funding the Putin war machine. 'We did it with India, we're doing it probably with a couple of others. One of them could be China,' said Trump. Trump said a face to face encounter with Putin could come by next week. 'There's a good chance that there will be a meeting very soon,' he said. But he cautioned the progress made was not a 'breakthrough" with his secretary of state Marco Rubio insisting many obstacles still needed to be overcome. 8 Dozens have been killed in Vlad's latest attacks Credit: East2West 8 Russia struck the Dnipropetrovsk region in Ukraine Credit: East2West 8 An explosion in the Dnipropetrovsk region in Ukraine Credit: East2West Ukraine sought to increase pressure on Putin with precision strikes on key military and strategic targets in overnight action. It is one of the largest refineries in southern Russia. Ukraine also targeted air defence units near Kerch in occupied Crimea, according to reports. And they hit the Surovikino railway station triggering a fire in Volgograd region, where a temporary airport closure was enforced. This was another in a series of recent strikes aimed at disrupting Putin's rail transport system, especially involving military cargoes. Earlier, unmanned boats were reported to be attacking key port Novorossiysk, in Krasnodar region.
