Bianca De Vera, AZ Martinez, Shuvee Etrata get emotional after nominations from close friends

The housemates of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" wrestled with feelings of hurt and guilt after the first face-to-face nominations of the season. On Tuesday's episode, Bianca De Vera told her duo Dustin Yu that she expected the nominations from the other housemates, but not from her close friend Mika Salamanca. "Kaya kong lumaban para sa kanya, kaya ko siyang protektahan hanggang sa makakaya ko. It hurts to see we're not on the same page," she said. Mika and her duo, Brent Manalo, tried to talk to Bianca but she avoided them. When they tried again, she said she needed time. Bianca and Mika later spoke and hugged it out. AZ Martinez also opened up to her duo, River Joseph. She said the nominations from Dustin, Ralph De Leon, and Will Ashley were something that she did not see coming. Will later talked to her and told her to blame him for the nomination, instead of his duo and her close friend, Ralph. Ralph, meanwhile, felt guilty for breaking AZ's trust as her confidant inside the house. Meanwhile, AZ's close friend, Shuvee Etrata, also got emotional after she and Klarisse De Guzman were nominated by AZ and River over her previous violation of talking about the outside world. She and AZ later got to sit down and hash it out together. Shuvee admitted that she was hurt over AZ's nomination, as she was already punished for the violation. AZ said she does not know how to explain it, but she said she did not want to hurt Shuvee and lose their friendship. DusBi (Dustin and Bianca), AzVer (AZ and River), and ShuKla (Shuvee and Klarisse) were the three nominated duos this week. Dustin and Bianca received 13 nomination points, while AZ and River got seven points. Shuvee and Klarisse got three points. "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" airs new episodes on GMA Network weeknights at 10:05 p.m. and Saturdays at 6:15 p.m. —MGP, GMA Integrated News

Louie Ramirez stars vs. Indonesian club in Alas Pilipinas Invitationals opener

Louie Ramirez shone on both ends to steer the Philippines to a 25-23, 27-29, 25-21, 25-22 win against Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi of Indonesia in the Alas Pilipinas Invitationals on Tuesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The former NCAA MVP out of the Perpetual ALTAs poured in 25 points anchored on 21 attacks, three blocks, and one ace to rally the hosts against the mighty Indonesians to open their home stand on a winning note. "Ang mindset lang namin is mailaro 'yung dapat na mailaro namin at gusting mangyari ni coach Angiolino kasi grabe 'yung paghihirap namin sa training na araw-araw," Ramirez said. "Sabi lang niya maipakita namin kung ano 'yung gusto niyang mangyari." Ramirez made his presence felt early, unleashing a flurry of attacks that allowed the Philippines to take a 20-19 lead in the opening set before opposite hitter Steven Rotter finished it off from the left side. The Ramirez-Rotter tandem continued to work wonders in Set 2, but an attack error from the former NCAA star allowed the Indonesian club to take the extended frame to level the series. Alas made sure to create some separation in the third with team captain Marck Espejo gettin lucky on the push to give his side the match point at 24-20 before Rotter sealed it with an off-the-block bullet, 25-20. Debuting Ken Batas, the reigning UAAP MVP, provided the spark off the bench by scoring three quick points in the fourth frame, including a huge rejection that sent Alas to the match point, 24-21. Indonesia's own service error put the punctuation for the Philippines. Rotter finished with 14 points while NU star Buds Buddin chipped in 11 markers. Alas Pilipinas will look to make it back-to-back wins when the FIlipinos tangle with Hyundai Capital Skywalkers of South Korea on Wednesday. —JMB, GMA Integrated News

Vince Maristela, Xyriel Manabat share most shocking news they learned after 'PBB' exit

Vince Maristela and Xyriel Manabat missed a lot of important news about the Philippines and the world after staying for about two months inside the 'Pinoy Big Brother' house. In an interview with GMA News Online, the former "PBB" housemates shared the most shocking news they learned upon their exit from Bahay ni Kuya. For Vince, it was the death of Pope Francis. 'Since, sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya, grabe din po talaga 'yung faith ko noong time. Mas lumakas,' Vince said. When he heard the news for the first time, the Sparkle star remembered his mom, who is a religious person. 'Sobrang religious talaga siya. Pumupunta siya ng Rome para magdasal. So parang, para sa akin, ano lang din, parang nagulat ako. So parang, naging curious din ako, anong nangyari? Sinong papalit? Parang, ganyan po 'yung reaction ko,' he shared. Meanwhile, for Xyriel, it was the deaths of veteran stars Pilita Corrales, Nora Aunor, and Ricky Davao that shocked her the most. 'Sobra 'kong nagulat doon sa mga nawalang artists. Like ang dami niya. Sobra akong nawindang. Parang parte ako ng pamilya nila, naiyak ako talaga,' Xyriel said. According to the Kapamilya star, she immediately messaged Janine Gutierrez upon reading the news updates to check up on her. 'Ang dami niyang family members na nawala eh. At sobrang bigat sa akin 'nun,' she added. Vince and Xyriel were the latest housemates to exit Bahay ni Kuya. They received the lowest percentage of save votes during the show's first-ever individual eviction."
