People think they've 'found' voice behind Siri and it is not who you think it is
It seems members of the public who believed they'd discovered the "actual voice" of Siri are wrong. Instead the person they thought it was has a role in another tech giant. Explaining where you might have heard her voice previously, TikTok user @kdimerc, says she isn't the voice of the well-known virtual assistant.
However, she is a voice you may have encountered through your headphones before. She additionally disclosed her voice was frequently confused for the voice heard on various tablet devices. Confirming she wasn't the voice of Apple's Siri in a TikTok post, the voice actor says she does supply the connectivity voice lines for Bluetooth products.
Posting on the social media platform, she joked she was "not all of these things," though some assumptions had been accurate,.
She said: "Hello, it's me, the voice actress behind some of your Bluetooth devices but also, oh my gosh, I am not all of these things you guys think I'm everybody.
"Let's clear it up. A ton of you think that I'm Siri. I'm very flattered, I would have loved to be Siri, but Siri was recorded in like, 2005, I was 12. So the real voice of Siri is a woman named Susan Bennett."
She then disclosed the Scansoft origins of the legendary voice, with Susan not receiving any royalties for the use of her work under Apple's new venture.
The TikTok star also revealed people assumed she was the voice of Google Home and Nest products, but rejected being behind "one of the most recognisable voices" in technology.
The third mistake made by admirers of the voice actor was presuming she provided the voice for Alexa, but once again this proved to be a case of confused identities.
Fans are delighted to discover the Bluetooth voice is on TikTok, and swamped the comments in astonishment.
Another mentioned their Alexa device had responded to the TikTok and actually been triggered by instructions detected in the viral post.
They revealed: "You triggered my Alexa. She says she isn't sure how to help you with the mansion thing."
Other users who regularly use Bluetooth devices may have recognised the voice previously, as one user comments: "You're the voice in my headphones."

Among them, one person said: "Right off I go to Home Bargains, thank you." A second told a friend the candle would "look lovely in a cosy corner." A third added: "I need this!!" A fourth shopper said: "They smell amazing too, I bought two the other day." A fifth wrote: "They're £5.99, I work for Home Bargains. They smell great and look nice when lit." A different person said: "Purchased one for myself and a few as gifts yesterday, they are so pretty. Also had a brown version." Another added: "Those are so nice, I need to go!" Others were quick to ask friends to pick one up if they spotted the candle in stores. Some tagged friends and planned their next trip to Home Bargains. In other Home Bargains news, shoppers were going wild over a "massive" £2 beauty product that shoppers are convinced they "needed." The watermelon and cherry lip balms became a sensation after a shopper featured them on social media, with fans absolutely thrilled by the selection. A clip shared by TikTok influencer Paula Pronobis racked up more than 60,000 views and over 5,000 likes. She said: "Massive lip balm at Home Bargains. £1.99. Never seen anything like it. Want the cherry one!"

Moment man 'knocked out' on packed Royal Mile as tourists looked on
Footage shows the brawl erupting beside a performance at the Edinburgh Fringe. Alarming footage circulating online captured the moment a brawl broke out while crowds gathered around a Fringe performance in Edinburgh city centre. Believed to have been taken on August 1, the TikTok clip shows the moment two men got into an altercation with one man seemingly being knocked out. A man with a grey jumper and wearing a cap appears to get a smaller man dressed in black in a headlock before delivering several blows to the man's head and face, reports Edinburgh Live. In the clip, the man in black can be seen hitting the deck with others watching the disturbance unfold at Hunter Square. A performer from the US can be heard in the background as the incident unfolds while tourists can be heard gasping as each blow is delivered. The male in the grey jumper hurriedly walks away from the scene after the other man fell to the ground. It is not known what led to the fight or if the man in black sustained serious injuries. Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
