Israeli Army Issues Urgent Evacuation Warning to Northern Gaza Residents Amid Intensifying Offensive

The Israeli military released an urgent evacuation order Monday to residents of several northern Gaza neighborhoods, warning of imminent military operations in the area as the war on the besieged strip continues to escalate.
In a statement issued on social media by Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee, it warned civilians in Jabalia, Jabalia Camp, the Old Town, and the neighborhoods of Al-Nahda, Al-Rawda, Al-Salam, Al-Noor, Al-Tuffah, Al-Daraj, and Tal Al-Zaatar to evacuate immediately.
'Urgent — Dangerous warning to everyone present in these areas,' Adraee stated. 'The Israeli army is operating with full force in your vicinity to destroy terrorist infrastructure.'
He called on civilians to seek refuge in designated shelters in Gaza City, adding, 'For your safety, evacuate immediately. Returning to these areas — now designated combat zones — poses a serious threat to your lives.'
The warning comes amid a renewed and intensified Israeli ground and air campaign in the Gaza Strip, with fighting particularly focused in northern areas long seen as Hamas strongholds.
The evacuation order has triggered fresh concerns over the already dire humanitarian situation in Gaza. With tens of thousands already displaced and shelter infrastructure stretched to the limit, international aid organizations have warned that safe zones are increasingly scarce and inaccessible.
Since the resumption of the Israeli offensive on March 18, 2025, Gaza's Ministry of Health reports 4,603 people have been killed and 14,186 wounded. The overall death toll since the war began on October 7, 2023, has now reached 54,880, with 126,227 people injured.
These figures underscore what the United Nations has repeatedly described as an "unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe" in the enclave, where food, water, and medical supplies remain critically low, and large swaths of the population are living in makeshift shelters or open areas.
Calls for a ceasefire and humanitarian access continue to mount internationally, but diplomatic efforts have thus far failed to bring a lasting halt to the conflict. The Israeli military insists its operations are aimed at dismantling what it describes as terrorist infrastructure, while Palestinian officials and human rights groups accuse Israel of collective punishment and indiscriminate attacks on civilians.

Egypt completes pre-marriage, mothers, newborns medical screening for 7 mln Egyptians - Health
The Ministry of Health announced that almost seven million Egyptians have undergone medical examinations as part of the Pre-Marriage Health Screening and Caring for the Health of Mothers and Newborns initiatives, which are part of the bigger 100 Million Healthy Lives initiative. In two separate statements, the ministry confirmed that 3.6 million young men and women have benefited from medical screening since it started in February 2023 as part of the president's initiative for Pre-Marriage Health Screening. The statements added that certified and secured health certificates with a QR code were issued for those about to get married, with a validity of six months. "The tests should be done at least 14 days before the wedding to allow time for receiving the results and the health certificate," according to Dr. Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar, the ministry's official spokesperson. In another statement, the ministry said 3.251 million women have been screened since March 2020 as part of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi's initiative, Caring for the Health of Mothers and Newborns. Abdel-Ghaffar noted that the initiative aims to detect diseases transmitted from mother to fetus early and provide free treatment and healthcare. He said it also focuses on the early detection of hepatitis B, HIV (the virus that causes AIDS), and syphilis in pregnant women. The statement explained that the medical teams follow up on the health of the mother and newborn for 42 days after childbirth to identify any risk factors and take appropriate actions. The initiative also provides the necessary micronutrients during the postpartum period. Furthermore, the statement emphasized that all tests are confidential and accurate and use diagnostic reagents that meet international quality standards. This also included providing counseling for disease prevention, with the woman's informed consent and willingness to participate as a requirement. The initiative is ongoing and integrated into the services of health units and maternal and child care centres as part of efforts to enhance the quality of routine maternal and child healthcare services. Additionally, the ministry affirmed its commitment to providing the public with information and responding to inquiries about public health initiatives through the hotline 15335, or the ministry's official Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn pages. The presidential initiatives under the banner 100 Million Health are among the most significant healthcare interventions launched by the state in recent years. The flagship initiative, 100 Million Health, began in October 2018. It aimed to eliminate Hepatitis C and screen for non-communicable diseases; numerous other public health initiatives followed it. These efforts have aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles, avoiding risk factors that lead to non-communicable diseases, early detection, and ensuring follow-up care in case a disease is detected to prevent complications. They also focus on educating the public and reducing the causes of infectious disease transmission. The 100 Million Health initiative includes a wide range of services, such as efforts to reduce the spread of genetic diseases in newborns and mental health support services for specific groups in society, including those preparing for marriage and the elderly. Death toll in Gaza rises to 54,927 martyrs since beginning of war
CAIRO – 9 June 2025: The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 54,927 martyrs and 126,615 wounded since October 2023. The Ministry of Health also stated that 47 people were killed and 388 wounded as a result of Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip within the past 24 hours. On Friday, 42 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes on several areas in the Gaza Strip according to Palestinian media reports. An Israeli fighter jet struck a five-story residential building in Jabalia, northern Gaza, resulting in the deaths of three Palestinians and injuries to dozens more. According to medical sources, three Palestinians were also killed and others wounded after an Israeli combat drone targeted a charging point for cell phones between tents sheltering displaced people to the west of Khan Younis, WAFA reported. A child was also shot dead by Israeli troops near the Al-Saraya detention area in Khan Younis. Another civilian succumbed to injuries sustained in a previous Israeli strike on the city. Israeli strikes have also killed one Palestinian in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis. In addition, eight Palestinians were killed and 61 injured in renewed massacres in Rafah City in the southern Gaza Strip on Friday. The victims were targeted while trying to reach recently established humanitarian aid sites in western Rafah on the first day of Eid Al Adha.
