For Itauma, a win against the British veteran would be huge and could launch him into a fight against undisputed champ Oleksandr Usyk for the WBO belt.
The promising 20-year-old star already boasts an incredible unbeaten record of 12-0 and is ranked No1 by the WBO.
"The Wrecking Ball" convincingly beat ex-NFL star Mike Balogun in May and is the big favourite for his fight against Whyte.
On the other hand, former title contender Whyte will be fighting to remain amongst the top names in heavyweight boxing.
The Body Snatcher, 37, is almost double the age of his opponent and needs a monumental underdog win to prove his engine has not ran dry.
Victory for the veteran would catapult him back into title contention and possibly put him in the frame for an incredible rematch with Anthony Joshua or a trilogy fight against Derek Chisora.

Sheffield Wednesday reject significant bids for Pierce Charles despite financial crisis

Sheffield Wednesday have turned down multi-million-pound bids from West Ham United and Rangers for goalkeeper Pierce Charles, to the bafflement of some inside the club. The decision is all the more confusing given the Championship outfit's well-documented financial issues, as controversial owner Dejphon Chansiri is facing increasing pressure to sell the club. Wednesday started the season with only 16 registered first-team players, and the dire finances have led to sources stating that squad members are getting selectively paid based on their value. The 20-year-old Charles has become a Northern Irish international in an impressive rise from the club, and has interest from a series of clubs beyond West Ham and Rangers. Since his value could greatly help with cash flow, especially in terms of paying staff and squad members, there is further confusion among the player's camp and others at the club. It's understood that his total outlay in terms of wages is £200k. The situation has become so bad at Wednesday that it is said to have played into the government's will to fast-track the introduction of the independent football regulator through secondary legislation.

Former Tottenham star 'will join former club's coaching staff' at 33 after leaving Greek side

A former Premier League midfielder is set to join the coaching staff at Sevilla in a shock move at the end of his playing career, according to a report. The star played more than 250 times for top flight club Tottenham, having joined in 2013 as part of the seven players recruited with the money they gained from selling Gareth Bale to Real Madrid. Arriving alongside the likes of Christian Eriksen and Roberto Soldado, Erik Lamela joined for just short of £26million with high hopes for his future. He didn't quite hit the heights some had hoped for, but he established a strong career at Spurs. Departing in 2021, Lamela joined Sevilla in Spain, where he would play 92 times, before joining AEK Athens in Greece. On Thursday, meanwhile, he departed the club and now seems set to take the next step in his career, which will be away from the field. According to Cesar Luis Merlo, Lamela is set to join the coaching staff at a former club - as he prepares to return to Sevilla. Matias Almeyda is the manager at Sevilla, taking over in June, and worked with Lamela in Athens. The duo formed a good relationship and appear to be ready to work with each other again. Almeyda is somewhat a journeyman manager, having coached six clubs since 2011, starting out at River Plate in his native Argentina - the same country Lamela is from. Lamela, 33, has no coaching experience but will be starting his new journey at his former side. He has also played for Roma and River Plate in his career. At international level, he played 25 times for Argentina, scoring three goals.
