CSI descends on Brad Pitt's sprawling LA mansion to find 'a real mess' after terrifying incident
Crime scene investigators descended on Brad Pitt 's Los Angeles mansion on Thursday after it was terrorized by thieves who smashed windows and trashed the property.
Pictures obtained by DailyMail.com captured the CSI team trawling the home for evidence in the hours after the incident.
Three suspects allegedly broke into the star's home in the celebrity enclave of Los Feliz about 10.30pm on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
One source told the LA Times that the criminals smashed a window before entering the home and made 'a real mess' of it.
They allegedly stole Pitt's possessions, and overturned his furniture as though they were 'looking for what they could take of value,' a source told the publication.
Pitt's belongings were tossed all over the floor during the crime, an insider said
The 61-year-old Hollywood star was not home at the time. It is unclear if his girlfriend Ines de Ramon was inside.
One masked officer wearing blue gloves and carrying a toolkit was seen at the property as investigators tried to look for clues.
Plain clothing officers also came back and forth from the home as the investigation continued.
Investigators earlier told NBC News the thieves climbed over Pitt's front fence and ransacked the home, stealing an unknown amount of property.
It comes after a string of celebrities have seen their Los Angeles-area homes broken into in recent years.
This includes Pitt's ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston, as well as couples Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban and Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson.
It is unclear if the LA-area burglaries are connected.
Pitt has been promoting his new movie, film, F1, and was most recently spotted with de Ramon at the London premiere earlier this week.
F1 was made in collaboration with Formula One's governing body, the FIA, with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton being one of the producers.
In the films, Pitt plays the troubled race car driver Sonny Hayes, who races against rookie rival Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) as they battle it out at various Grand Prixes around the world.
Pitt was joined by de Ramon on the red carpet for the film as their relationship goes from strength to strength.
It comes after Pitt recently settled his painful eight-year divorce battle with ex wife Angelina Jolie.
A source previously told the Daily Mail that despite being as happy as could be together, Pitt and de Ramon have no plans to we d.
'Brad is totally in love with Ines, but he doesn't want to go down the road of marriage and kids,' they said.
'He's been burned badly by the divorce from Angelina and his kids wanting little if nothing to do with him. He's 61 and loving his life just the way it is.'
Pitt and Jolie are gearing for a trial over their shared property Château Miraval, the sprawling French estate where they tied the knot in 2014.
The property, known for its award-winning rosé, has become ground zero in the stars' years-long legal war.
Jolie, 49, tried to shut down Pitt's claims that she sold her stake in the estate behind his back, despite what he says was a verbal agreement to hold onto their 50-50 split.
But now that her motion's been denied, the case is moving full speed ahead.
The trial date hasn't been locked in yet, and several key motions are still on the table.

The Alters: unintentionally the realest game about parenting I've ever played
Other than during that golden period when they were old enough to play games and watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer but hadn't yet become evil teenagers, I don't think I'm very good at parenting. When my kids were babies I felt unnecessary and useless, a feeling I have been reminded of most days since. That's OK. We can't be good at everything. I can read words backwards and upside down but I can never find my house keys. I am brilliant at dancing to the Cure's The Lovecats on Dancing Stage MegaMix but terrible at DIY. Don't get me wrong: I love my children. I like hanging out with them socially as young adults because they are smart, funny and entertaining, but then they remember I am their dad, and everything is ruined as they ask me to do stuff then blame me for everything wrong in their lives. So I took advantage of the fact that they all went away on the same weekend to have some uninterrupted dad time and sink my teeth into a game with depth, without disturbance. That game was The Alters. I loved the concept. You are stuck on a planet and have to clone different versions of yourself to operate the base and survive. That's really clever. Even better: you create the clones by looking at your life path and picking moments when you made certain decisions that led to you becoming the Jan Dolski that you are. For example, if you select the path where you went off to study rather than entering the mines like your dad did, then you clone Jan the Scientist, an ace researcher. If you went to work on oil rigs, you create Jan Worker, a load-lightener. If you decide that all you want to do is sit on your backside all day playing with words, you become Jan Writer. (Except you don't. There is no Jan Writer option, which shows how useless I would be in a survival situation.) It's a compelling game mechanic because you are not only exploring, resource building and problem solving, you are questioning the whole nature of decision making. It makes you go back through your own life, wondering at the choices you made and what could have been different. This is horribly depressing though and I wouldn't recommend it. Stick to the game's story, not your own. The problem is that the more clones you have in The Alters, the more you have to work to keep them fed, healthy and entertained. And they are needy little bastards whose first language is Whine. It didn't matter about the fresh food I gave them, the movies I sat through or the games of beer pong I deliberately lost – the Jan Miner character was determined to be grumpy and confrontational, and Jan Scientist was constantly punchably irritating. Whenever I thought I was triumphing at managing the base – helped by a system that allows you to set up automatic production of important things like radiation filters to keep you safe, and allotting different clones to regularly do specific shifts – I would have to drop what I was doing and run around doing something else for my dependants to keep them happy. You see where I am going with this? Sign up to Pushing Buttons Keza MacDonald's weekly look at the world of gaming after newsletter promotion The Alters may be pitched as a sci-fi survival game, but really? It's a parenting sim. The very last thing I want to do with my free time. My failures in the game (and there are many) are accompanied by me screaming at the needy sods to give me a break for five minutes. My neighbours probably still think my kids are still at home. I have never felt so strongly that I am the wrong person to play a game that is so right. The script and story are strong, almost like an interactive version of Andy Weir's The Martian. Philosophical concepts are bandied around, such as Camus's idea that heroism is easy, and it's doing the normal things that is the real challenge in life. And the graphics are so distinctive and mesmerising they are works of art. The space base moves around like a futuristic take on Howl's Moving Castle. The game questions the very meaning of existence and what we're supposed to do with it, and it is moving to witness the clones react to their new reality. Some hate you, others are fascinated, but all at points bond with you over shared memories of everything from Mom's pierogies and beloved lava lamps to how you dealt with your abusive father. There is imagination and intelligence in abundance. It would make an incredible novel or animated movie. And 1990s Dominik, who had no kids or responsibilities, would have found marshalling a load of interesting, talented but whiny dependants a fun novelty. It's like The Game of Life, which was a fun board game to play as kids, but hell when we had two in the back seat of our car. Maybe The Alters is the perfect game for you to play if you are thinking about having kids. In fact I urge anyone of child-bearing or rearing age to play it immediately, to see if you are up to the task in real life or if, like me, it all turns out to be too much hard work.

Kim Kardashian's daughter North West, 12, has fans all saying the same thing about her viral video
Kim Kardashian 's tween daughter North West has gone viral for appearing in influencer Chris Smoove's latest video. The 12-year-old nepo baby, whose dad is controversy-plagued Kanye West, rocked her hair in knee-length blue braids and a gothic-inspired shirt, shorts, and sneakers. Chris, who's known for profiling celebrities and their designer threads, asked North how much her outfit cost, piece by piece. And she sent the internet into hysterics as she gave the same answer for each question: 'I don't know.' Fans convened in the comments section of the post, collectively agreeing that the youngster is 'just like' her famous father. 'Daddy's daughter,' one person wrote, along with a string of crying laughing emojis and one shrug emoji. Chris, who's known for profiling celebrities and their designer threads, asked North how much her outfit cost, piece by piece. And she sent the internet into hysterics as she gave the same answer for each question: 'I don't know' Someone else said North was 'Princess Yeezy Fasho,' referencing Kanye's popular clothing line. Another social media user declared, 'She definitely has her dad's personality for SURE.' 'She just like her daddy,' influencer Nick Yardy added.' North's interview echoed her dad's 2021 chat with Smoove, during which he answered 'I don't know' for most of the questions presented to him as he rocked an all-black ensemble. The Chicago-bred rapped did, however, divulge that the watch he was wearing at the time ran him $200,000. Chris captioned this week's video featuring North, 'How much is your outfit worth? North West Pulled a YE on me,' adding crying laughing emojis. It comes after the Kim and Kanye's firstborn of four children recently celebrated her June 15 birthday on a yacht in Mexico. Another social media user declared, 'She definitely has her dad's personality for SURE' In addition to North, the exes also share son Saint, nine, daughter Chicago, seven, and son Psalm, six. They were married from 2014 until the television star filed for divorce in February 2021. West moved on with busty Bianca Censori, 30, marrying her in December 2022, the month after his divorce was finalized. Together they're known for their outlandish public appearances, which often see the Australian architect scantily clad. Meanwhile, since leaving the YZY creator, Kim has been romantically involved with Pete Davidson, and linked to Tom Brady. The 44-year-old bombshell billionaire is currently in Italy, where she's enjoying Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos' wedding festivities. The bombshell billionaire was trolled on social media ahead of the weekend for making the Bezos wedding 'all about her' as she posted racy content to social media. The lavish celebration kicked off with pre-wedding festivities at the historic Madonna dell'Orto cloisters, where A-listers including Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Orlando Bloom, and Ivanka Trump mingled under candlelight. Some of Kim's famous family — Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and momager Kris Jenner — were also at the star-studded affair. But despite being surrounded by celebrities and an opulent setting, Kim couldn't seem to stay off her phone. She was spotted snapping selfies throughout the day — and in between her self-staged photo shoots, she slipped in a sizzling SKIMS promo, flaunting an animal print bikini on social media.

Authorities arrest fugitive who police say posted on social media following New Orleans jailbreak
Louisiana authorities captured on Friday one of the 10 men who escaped from a New Orleans jail six weeks ago and who police say released videos on social media while still on the run. Antoine Massey, 33, was taken into custody at a residence in New Orleans about 2 miles (3 kilometers) from the jail, said New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick. 'He actually walked out of a home peacefully,' Kirkpatrick said. 'He peacefully gave up to law enforcement who had surrounded the house.' Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson said she had received a tip Friday morning and immediately notified other law enforcement authorities, who arrested Massey by midafternoon. Louisiana State Police Superintendent Robert Hodges said authorities were still investigating how Massey was able to stay at the residence where he was recaptured. 'It's pretty obvious over the last six weeks to remain a fugitive that long, he had assistance, he had help,' Hodges said. Authorities had recently investigated social media posts by a man who identified himself as Massey and earlier this month raided a New Orleans home where they believed the videos were produced but did not find him. 'Great work by all our law enforcement partners who have been working so hard for this outcome,' Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill said after Massey's capture Friday. 'One more to go!' Authorities are still searching for convicted murderer Derrick Groves. Police previously captured the other eight escapees following the May 16 jailbreak, one of the largest in recent U.S. history. Authorities said the men yanked open a faulty cell door inside the New Orleans jail, squeezed through a hole behind a toilet, scaled a barbed-wire fence and fled into the dark. The men's absence wasn't discovered until a morning headcount, hours after they bolted for freedom. Authorities found a message drawn around the hole the men used to escape: an arrow pointing at the gap and the words 'To Easy LoL.' Officials have pointed to multiple security lapses in the jail, but authorities remain adamant that the men also had likely had help. A maintenance worker at the jail was arrested for allegedly helping the men escape by turning off the water to the toilet where the hole was cut behind. His lawyer says he has denied knowingly aiding them. Massey faced charges of rape, kidnapping, domestic violence involving strangulation and violation of a protective order, authorities in nearby St. Tammany Parish said. In Orleans Parish, he faced charges of motor vehicle theft and domestic battery. Murrill said Massey will face additional charges for his role in the escape. A woman police identified as being in an on-again, off-again relationship with Massey was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice and as a principal to aggravated escape, court records show. Authorities said the woman knew of Massey's escape plans beforehand, communicated with him afterward and misled authorities. A $50,000 reward remains for tips leading to Groves' recapture, authorities said. ___ Brook is a corps member for The Associated Press/Report for America Statehouse News Initiative.
