Couple celebrates 59th anniversary by renewing wedding vows

A Hillsborough County couple celebrated 59 years of love by renewing their wedding vows.
The celebration took place at Plant City Adult Day Care on Wednesday.

PLANT CITY, Fla. - A Tampa Bay couple proved that love truly stands the test of time. Esther and Wayne Devilbliss renewed their vows Wednesday morning at the Plant City Adult Day Care in front of friends, family, and fellow residents, marking 59 years of marriage.
The couple was surrounded by flowers and music, as a slideshow played photos of them throughout the years. Then the pair walked down the aisle once again, nearly six decades after their original wedding ceremony.

"First of all, I want to thank the Lord for sending me my beautiful wife," Wayne Devilbliss said. "I promise to love you more each day, and I'll always make you tea and coffee when you want it."
The backstory
The couple, are both clients of Hillsborough County's Adult Day Services, and have become beloved figures at the center. "They're a great inspiration," said Brenda Robinson, a senior supervisor. "From the time they started coming here, people began to gravitate towards them," she added.
Their secret? "If we have a disagreement, one goes in one room, and one in the other. We leave the disagreement in the room, and then we come back and talk it out," Esther Devilbliss explained with a smile.
Staff and friends honored the couple with poetry, music, and special tributes.
The celebration ended with laughter, dancing, and one more kiss, just like their first wedding day nearly six decades ago.

'I don't even want someone watching a scary movie in our house on the TV, because to me, that's just a portal.' The actor reminded viewers that she's in the film industry and understands how movies are made, but nonetheless argued there can still be 'something incredibly demonic' to the results, which her guest, Texas-based pastor Jonathan Pokluda, audibly agreed with. Bure's philosophy appears to extend even to everyday products, such as water. 'I feel like it's a portal that gets opened up, and that just reminded me, you've posted something a while back about Liquid Death,' she told Pokluda. 'You're like, 'Do you want to buy a product that is literally being cursed as it's going out into distribution?'' The pastor shared such sentiments on social media earlier this year, declaring that he is 'super out' on the beverage company for a marketing campaign cheekily asking customers to 'sell your soul' to join its 'Liquid Death Country Club.' 'They are asking you to sell your soul to them and hired a witch to curse their drinks,' Pokluda wrote on Instagram in February. 'Spread the word. If you're like, 'OK, Karen, they are just having fun.' Please grab a copy of 'Your Story Has a Villain.'' Pokluda's book aims to teach readers how to 'identify spiritual warfare' and 'defeat the enemy.' His claim that a witch cursed Liquid Death's products, meanwhile, appears to be based on a 2019 marketing stunt for a run of Halloween-themed drinks. The company also claimed in an advertisement in 2022 to have bought an actual witch a Super Bowl ticket. While most customers likely see these stunts as mere promotional ploys, devout Christians Pokluda and Bure appear to be unconvinced. 'This is how he works,' Pokluda said about the devil. 'I'm telling you, he tries to disguise under that stuff. That's what he wants you to feel. If you ever are like, 'Oh, I'm not going to be impacted by that,' that's what Satan wants you to feel. That's the whole essence of it.' His comments prompted affirmative nods from Bure, who added, 'Yeah.' Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift took a trip to Sunrise, Florida, on Thursday night to see the Florida Panthers take on the Edmonton Oilers in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final. The TNT broadcast briefly showed the couple chatting as the Panthers were on a 5-on-3 power play. Florida star Matthew Tkachuk netted the first goal of the game, sending the fans in the Amerant Bank Arena into a frenzy. Kelce wore all red, wearing a white and red cap, while Swift had a beige outfit and her hair in a braid. Moments later, the couple, along with everyone else in the building, were treated to a second goal. And again, it was off the stick of Tkachuk. The Kansas City Chiefs star and the pop star have been known to take in major sporting events in the past. The two were spotted at the American League Championship Series in New York between the Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians in October. The two have occasionally been spotted as Kelce preps for another season with the Chiefs. Swift received a huge win recently.
