Welcome to the orange era. Taylor Swift has announced her 12th studio album and is expected to reveal the cover art and more details on the New Heights podcast this week. Here's everything to know so far about TS12, including clues about its possible release date.
On Monday, Aug. 11, a cryptic countdown appeared on her website, following a long trail of Easter eggs dating all the way back to her time on the Eras Tour. Perhaps the biggest clue came after Taylor Nation, Swift's official management team, posted a variety of photos of the singer in orange-hued outfits on Instagram. 'Thinking about when she said 'See you next era… ❤️‍🔥' the caption read.
On the same day, Travis and Jason Kelce's podcast, New Heights, teased that a very special guest would be joining the brothers this Wednesday — and the silhouette of the guest looked very similar to Swift's. The image was also set against a sparkly orange background, which corresponds with the orange-themed outfits from Taylor Nation.
What Is The Name Of TS12?
Swift's 12th studio album is titled The Life of a Showgirl. The announcement was made on the singer's official website during the early morning hours of August 12. Taylor Nation also posted a clip of Swift sharing the name of the record with Travis and Jason Kelce on their hit sports podcast New Heights.
'At 12:12 on the 12th, TS12 finally got a name: The Life of a Showgirl. ❤️‍🔥 More info soon… pre pre-order the album & pre pre-scream in the meantime!!!!!!!!!!!!' Taylor Nation wrote alongside the New Heights teaser.
What Is The Life Of A Showgirl Release Date?
The exact release date for The Life of a Showgirl has yet to be announced. However, according to Taylor's website, the album will ship by October 13, 2025 — so the release date will be before then. 'This is not the release date. Official release date to be announced," the website clarified.
For now, you can pre-order the album on Swift's official website as a CD with a poster ($12.99), cassette ($19.99) and vinyl ($29.99).
Who Are The Producers On The Life Of A Showgirl?
Along with the album announcement, Swift released a playlist titled And, baby, that's show business for you ❤️‍🔥, which includes 22 tracks from various albums. Swifties were quick to point out that all the songs were produced by the songwriting and production duo, Max Martin and Shellback, with whom the singer collaborated on Red, 1989 and Reputation.
Will The Life Of A Showgirl Feature Any Collabs?
There's a strong chance that Sabrina Carpenter will appear on The Life of a Showgirl, thanks to a list of clues, including her website featuring the date August 12, 2025. Carpenter was also included in the 12-photo carousel Taylor Nation posted teasing the pop star's 'new era.'

The new Timothée Chalamet movie trailer is about a sport no one respects

After appearing as music icon Bob Dylan last year, the next project from Academy Award nominee Timothée Chalamet is technically about sports. The 29-year-old actor impressed fans last year by proving his knowledge as a sports fan while appearing on ESPN's College GameDay. He correctly predicted upsets and genuinely seemed like a lot of fun joking around on set. During the exciting postseason run for the New York Knicks, he was also a fixture at Madison Square Garden, even sharing a fun moment with Karl-Anthony Towns. Hopefully, he got a second to pick Towns' brain about what it's like to be a wildly disrespected athlete, because that is exactly what Chalamet will portray in his next film. More: Timothée Chalamet was offered Stephen A. Smith mentorship for an ESPN career The first trailer for the upcoming A24 project Marty Supreme released on Wednesday and it looks wild. Here is what you need to know: "Marty Mauser, a young man with a dream no one respects, goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness." That dream, it seems, is to become a ping pong star so big that he will appear on the cover of Wheaties boxes. This is the first project from Josh Safdie (Good Time and Uncut Gems) in his solo directorial debut. Chalamet will lead in the first billing but Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A'zion, Kevin O'Leary (from Shark Tank), and Tyler, The Creator (as Tyler Okonma) will co-star. Kelly Clarkson's ex-husband's obituary reveals he was in a relationship with her former assistant

Kelly Clarkson's ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, was in a relationship with her former assistant before his death, his obituary reveals. According to the obituary, Blackstock – who died of melanoma earlier this month — was dating Brittney Marie Jones, who worked as a production assistant for the singer from 2016 to 2018, according to her LinkedIn profile. 'Brandon, along with his beautiful and loving partner in life and business, Brittney Marie Jones, started building a life, building companies, and working tirelessly to create Headwaters Livestock Auction and what will live on as his legacy, The Valley View Rodeo in Bozeman, Montana,' the statement reads. After 20 years in the music industry, Blackstock 'found his way back to the mountains and the cowboy way of life he always wanted to live' and moved to Butte, Montana. The talent manager shared two children — River, 11, and Remington, nine — with Clarkson, and two children —Savannah, 23, and Seth, 18 — with his ex-wife, Melissa Ashworth. 'To say he was devoted seems cliché,' the obituary reads. 'It feels like an overused word, but it is the correct word. He was a devoted father. His four children were and will always be his greatest love and his greatest legacy.' A representative for Blackstock confirmed his death in a statement to People last week. 'It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away,' their statement read. 'Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time.' Silver Bow County Coroner Dan Hollis confirmed on Monday that Blackstock's cause of death was melanoma, a form of skin cancer, and the manner of his death was natural causes. Days before her ex-husband passed, Clarkson had postponed the remainder of her Las Vegas residency dates for August. 'Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,' the singer wrote in an Instagram post at the time. 'While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.' Blackstock, stepson of country star Reba McEntire, was married to Clarkson from 2013 to 2022. When finalizing her divorce, Clarkson agreed to give a one-time payment of $1.3 million to her ex-husband, along with $45,601 a month for child support. The 'Stronger' singer has spoken candidly about ending the relationship in 2020 after nearly seven years of marriage. During an appearance on the We Can Do Hard Things with Glennon Doyle podcast in 2023, she explained why she convinced herself to stay with Blackstock for as long as she did. 'I was like, 'I can do this. I can handle so much,'' she said. 'My ego is, 'I can control my actions, I can control my reactions, I can do this and I can reach this person and I can get through.' It becomes a little bit of your ego that gets in the way.'

Jason Kelce's Taylor Swift intro will get you so pumped for 'New Heights'

It's Taylor Swift on New Heights Day, which feels like it should be a national holiday. The pop star cryptically left breadcrumbs about her appearance on the podcast of her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother on Monday, which culminated in her announcing the name of her new album, The Life Of A Showgirl." As is tradition for New Heights, the social team dropped a clip of Jason's iconic introduction for their guest before the podcast airs. Jason, dressed in a navy blue Eras Tour shirt that has Swift's face emblazoned on it, didn't disappoint for his introduction of the 14-time Grammy winner. Channeling his inner Chaucer (Paul Bettany) from A Knight's Tale, Jason rattled off Swift's laundry list of accomplishments for an impressive 65 seconds. "Our guest today is a singer, songwriter and producer and director," Jason opened with before hilariously editing her hometown from the listed Nashville. "That's [expletive], she is from Reading, Pennsylvania," he corrected as Travis and Swift laughed. He went on to breathlessly list her singing accolades, even surprising Swift with her own streaming stats for her The Tortured Poets Department album. After the intro, Swift thanked Jason for his efforts before getting in the most perfect dig as the Brads and Chads that might be upset she infiltrated their sacred football podcast space. It was a perfect introduction by Jason, even if it wore him out. The podcast drops at 7 PM ET. It's sure to be must-see.
