Emma Raducanu's silent response to Wimbledon interview interruption leaves fans floored

Yahoo2 days ago
Emma Raducanu was interrupted during a Wimbledon interview but the moment didn't faze her as the British No. 38 turned the microphone towards the crowd.
The playful moment followed the tennis star's victory over former champion Marketa Vondrousova, setting her up for a clash against the world No. 1 star Aryna Sabalenka in the third round.
Following her win, she was interrupted during an interview by a member of the crowd, who shouted an unintelligible comment towards the star.

The 22-year-old was laughing throughout, before she paused after being asked a question about Sabalenka.
In an amusing moment, after another call from the crowd, she lifted up the microphone and turned it to the crowd, seemingly suggesting that they should answer instead.
It comes after another British star, Oliver Tarvet, made it loud and clear that he isn't intimidated by facing off against defending champion Carlos Alcaraz.
The Hertfordshire-born tennis star isn't lacking in confidence, telling reporters: "I can win against anyone."
The world No. 733 is naturally viewed as the underdog of this year's event but has no reason to believe he won't beat his mercurial opponent and progress to the next round.
He said: "I feel like nothing has changed. I've come here and not really set myself any expectations.
"I'm quietly confident I can win against anyone. Alcaraz isn't an exception to that.
"He's done an incredible amount in the tennis world. He's a difficult guy not to respect.
"I will just go out there and try and treat it like another match. At the end of the day, for me, I try and play the ball, not the player."
Tarvet has secured £99,000 by qualifying for the second round, though he might not see all that money.
"I'm here for the crowd and the experience and just to stamp my mark. I think I've done a pretty good job so far," he remarked.
Wimbledon is available to watch live on BBC Two and can be streamed on BBC iPlayer.

Djokovic's daughter steals the show at Wimbledon with her victory dance

LONDON (AP) — Seven-year-old Tara Djokovic wowed Wimbledon with a victory dance after dad's win Saturday on Centre Court. Novak Djokovic had just clinched his 100th Wimbledon singles win and was asked during his on-court interview to shed light on the little dance he's been doing recently. Advertisement He said it's done to a song called 'Pump It Up." 'There's a song with my kids — look my daughter's doing it right now,' a smiling Djokovic said as he looked into the crowd. 'You want to show it darling?' The TV camera then panned to Tara, who then showed everyone how it's done: pump your fists down, then left, right and overhead. The crowd roared. 'She's the master. It's a little tradition we have right now. Hopefully we can keep going so we can keep pumping more in Wimbledon.' ___ AP tennis: The Associated Press
