'What a beautiful city! I love it!' said the US president after taking in the cultural greeting at the presidential palace.
The traditional performance that stole the spotlight is called Al-Ayyala, a well-known dance form across the Gulf that blends music, poetry and movement to symbolise pride, unity, and heritage.
Here's everything we know about it.
A dance form honoured by UNESCO
Al-Ayyala is a traditional dance form popular in the UAE and parts of Oman. In 2014, it was recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
According to UNESCO, the performance includes poetry, drumming, and choreographed movements that symbolise a battle scene.
In a typical Al-Ayyala, girls in traditional dresses stand at the front, swaying their long hair from side to side. Behind them, two rows of men face each other, holding thin bamboo sticks that represent spears or swords.
The dance is a big part of official ceremonies and is performed at weddings, national celebrations, and cultural festivals in Oman and the UAE.

Unlike other countries in the West Asia, such as Iran, there are no laws in the UAE forcing women to cover their hair, hence they can participate in the dance form.

Further, what makes Al-Ayyala unique is how inclusive it is. People of all ages and backgrounds can take part. The lead performer is usually someone who has inherited the role and is responsible for training others and and ensuring the transmission of this cultural heritage to future generations.
Trump's grand West Asia tour
The UAE was the final stop in Donald Trump's West Asia tour, after earlier visits to Qatar and Saudi Arabia. In each of these Gulf nations, he was welcomed with grand displays of fanfare.
In Saudi Arabia, Trump's arrival was marked by a six-fighter jet escort as Air Force One landed on Tuesday morning. In Qatar, his plane was again flanked by fighter jets, and his cybertruck motorcade was greeted by a camel parade.

He was also gifted a $400 million luxury jet by a Qatari royals, a move that drew a lot of attention.
In the UAE, authorities closed the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi to the public for the first time to welcome Trump. The Burj Khalifa was lit up in red, white, and blue — the colours of the US flag — in his honour.

According to Al Jazeera, Trump claimed that the deals signed during his three-nation tour, spanning tech, defence, and business, were worth $10 trillion.
'Coming to Saudi Arabia, Qatar was very important to me because of personal relationships that I had, maybe more than anything else. So it's been an amazing period of time,' he said. 'We're developing a lot of fans.'

'People have said they've never seen anything like taking place over the last four days, in terms of investment,' Trump added. 'In terms of the kind of money coming back into the United States. And all that money, the money is a nice word, but it's really jobs. We have jobs that are at a level that we very soon will not be able to—nobody can duplicate it.'

Who is Anthony Thomas Reyes? Madman who scaled Mar-a-Lago to propose to Trump's granddaughter, Kai Trump

A 23-year-old man from Texas was arrested after climbing over the walls of Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump's private Florida estate, to propose to POTUS' granddaughter, Kai Trump. On Tuesday, just after midnight, Secret Service agents noticed the man on the property. He reportedly told officers he was there to 'spread the gospel' and to find 18-year-old Kai, who had just become 18. Notably, at the time, President Trump was in Washington, D.C., and Kai was vacationing with friends and family in the Bahamas. ALSO READ| Will TikTok be banned on June 19? Trump's new portrait revealed by White House; netizens say it ‘will hang in the Smithsonian one day'

This week, the White House released a new official portrait of President Trump, replacing the earlier January image that had drawn comparisons to a mugshot. Shared on Monday via X, the updated photo shows Trump staring directly into the camera. His right eye is slightly squinted, and his lips form a firm, straight line. He is wearing a blue suit paired with one of his signature red ties, and an American flag pin adorns his left lapel. The background is dark and unadorned. The White House stated, 'NEW OFFICIAL PRESIDENTIAL PORTRAIT JUST DROPPED." One of the users remarked, 'The portrait is great. But did we get the frame at dollar tree?' Another stated, 'Looking crooked and criminal af.' A third commented, 'That will hang in the Smithsonian one day.' 'Looks like someone painted a haunted rotisserie chicken just moments before it asked to suspend the Constitution. I've seen less tension in a gas station Bigfoot drawing", 'No one can get a picture on the nail on the first try', 'Looks like sh**' were some other reactions made. Some said, 'You look very Powerful Donald Trump. May the Force be with You!' 'Looking good Boss.' Trump's initial official presidential portrait was released the day before his inauguration and remained the image on the official @POTUS X account until May 5, 2017. The National Portrait Gallery later commissioned a painted portrait, funded through donations from Trump's Save America PAC. A new portrait marking his second term was unveiled on January 17, 2025. The most recent portrait was announced today, June 2. The chief White House photographer Daniel Torok took both photographs, reports said. Official presidential portraits, whether paintings or photographs are created to honour the service of a US commander in chief. The tradition began with Gilbert Stuart's iconic portrait of George Washington and has continued with nearly every president since. These portraits are typically displayed in locations such as the White House and the National Portrait Gallery. The National Portrait Gallery, often in collaboration with the White House, usually commissions portraits of outgoing presidents and first ladies.

'I'll make sure he knows': 50 Cent has warning for Donald Trump on Diddy pardon

50 Cent has publicly cautioned Donald Trump against potentially pardoning Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is facing serious federal charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking. This warning follows Trump's statement that he would consider clemency if he believed Diddy was mistreated. The two rappers have a longstanding feud, and 50 Cent is also producing a docuseries about Diddy's legal troubles. Tired of too many ads? Remove Ads Tired of too many ads? Remove Ads 50 Cent-Diddy Feud Rapper 50 Cent has publicly warned U.S. President Donald Trump against issuing a pardon for embattled music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is currently facing serious federal warning came after Trump, during a media interaction, said he would consider granting clemency to Diddy if he believed the music producer had been "mistreated." Trump's comment came shortly after he pardoned reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were released from federal prison this month.50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, took to social media to express his disapproval. Sharing a headline that read '50 Cent Plans to Nuke Diddy's Chances at a Pardon,' the rapper responded:'I didn't say nuke anything. I simply said I will make sure Trump is aware.'He followed up with posts targeting both Diddy and Trump. In one video, Diddy is seen discussing the rise of a Black political party. 50 captioned it:'See, Trump don't like sh-- like this buddy, you run your mouth too much.'In another post, he shared a clip of Diddy saying, 'White men like Trump need to be banished,' and added:'Welp, can't ask him for help then buddy. LOL.'When asked if he would consider a pardon for Diddy—similar to the one granted to the Chrisleys—Trump said he would be open to it if the facts supported such action.'If I think somebody was mistreated, whether they like me or don't like me, it wouldn't have any impact on me,' Trump said Friday. 'I haven't spoken to [Diddy] in years. He used to really like me, but I think when I ran for politics… that relationship busted up.'Trump also clarified that no official request for a pardon had been made, but added, 'I know people are thinking about it.'Diddy is currently facing a series of federal charges, including racketeering, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and transportation for prostitution, according to an indictment unsealed in September. If convicted, he could face 15 years to life in prison. He has denied all allegations.50 Cent and Diddy have had a tense relationship for decades. Their feud dates back to the early 2000s, culminating in public disses and speculation. In 2006, 50 released a diss track titled 'The Bomb,' where he implied Diddy had knowledge of The Notorious B.I.G.'s 1997 murder.'He helped ghostwrite for Diddy in the past,' 50 told The Hollywood Reporter, 'but I always felt weird energy from him.'Despite the ongoing friction, Diddy once claimed in a 2018 interview that 50 Cent secretly admired him:'You all can't see that he loves me? He doesn't want to be my friend. I want to be his friend.'Things escalated further earlier this year when federal agents raided multiple properties tied to Diddy. 50 Cent posted a screenshot of news coverage on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption:'Now it's not Diddy do it, it's Diddy done. They don't come like that unless they got a case.'50 Cent is also producing a Netflix docuseries chronicling Diddy's alleged crimes and legal downfall.'This is a story with significant human impact,' he told Variety. 'We remain committed to giving a voice to the voiceless… While the allegations are disturbing, we aim to present nuanced perspectives. One man's actions should not define an entire culture.'
