Gaza: 9 children of doctor couple killed in Israeli strike
Agency spokesman Mahmud Bassal said Saturday that civil defense "crews transported the bodies of nine child martyrs, some of them charred, from the home of Dr. Hamdi al-Najjar and his wife, Dr. Alaa al-Najjar, all of whom were their children."
In a statement, Israel's military said it struck suspects operating from a structure near to its forces and described the area of Khan Younis as a "dangerous war zone."
The military said it had evacuated civilians from the area and that "the claim regarding harm to uninvolved civilians is under review."
What do we know about the incident?
Alaa al-Najjar, a pediatrician at Nasser Hospital, was on duty when she ran home and found her family's house on fire, Ahmad al-Farra, head of the hospital's pediatrics department told the Associated Press.
Muneer Alboursh, director general of the health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza, said on X that the strike happened shortly after Hamdi Al-Najjar drove his wife to work.
"Just minutes after returning home, a missile struck their house," he said, adding the father was "in intensive care."
Farra said that the couple's only surviving child, an 11-year-old son, was in critical condition after the strike. The dead children ranged in age from seven months to 12 years old.

She expressed hope for continued cooperation and the entry of more UAE aid to support the health sector. Ibrahim Al-Farra, Director of the Palestinian Aid Delivering Committee at the Ministry of Health in Gaza, described the UAE's assistance as a "lifeline" for all patients, noting that the continued supply of medicines and medical equipment revitalises hospitals and helps save the lives of the sick and wounded. The delivery is part of an ongoing series of aid shipments scheduled for the coming period, as part of the UAE's sustained efforts through Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 to ease the health crisis in Gaza and ensure the continuity of medical services.

Agreement inked to provide low-income segments with home ventilators
Muscat: The Ministry of Health on Thursday signed a funding agreement with Oman India Fertilizer Company (OMIFCO) to purchase ventilators for patients from low-income and social security segments. The agreement was signed by Saud Amer Al Nudhairi, the Ministry's Director General of Financial Affairs, and Khalid Mohammed Al Fannah Al Araimi, OMIFCO's Director of Sustainability and Institutional Communication. Al Nudhairi stressed the importance of partnerships between the government sector and other sectors in the Sultanate of Oman to serve members of the public. He hailed the company's noble initiative which, he observed, has been undertaken for the sixth time in a row. Quick response by CDAA saves toddler after breathing stops due to seizures
Muscat : The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) received an emergency call regarding a two-year-old child who had stopped breathing. Upon immediate communication with the family, it was found that the child suffered severe seizures caused by a high fever, which led to the respiratory arrest. The operations team promptly guided the family over the phone, providing step-by-step instructions to perform CPR and manage the situation effectively until further help could be provided. The CDAA reaffirmed its constant readiness to respond to emergencies and stressed the importance of first aid awareness and prompt contact with the operations center during any medical emergency.
