South Africa Return To Lords For More Celebrations After WTC Title Win
"It's been a very, very good couple of days. Celebrations like I haven't had before, so as a team I think we're super chuffed and no better place to do it than at the Home of Cricket," Mulder told ICC Digital at Lord's.

Mulder admitted he had hardly slept since arriving in London, with nerves leading into the Ultimate Test and the celebrations post-match still taking their toll. And while Mulder revealed all the players and support staff had joined in the frivolity, he said it was a group of players from Western Province that had led the way. "I think it's the Western Province crew, to be honest," Mulder said when asked who had been the best celebrators.
"All of them celebrate victory very, very hard. Kyle Verreynne, Dane Paterson, David Bedingham and (batting coach) Ashwell Prince are kind of the leaders of our vibe team, so they have been the guys that have gone all out," he added.
Notably, Mulder played alongside Australia captain Pat Cummins and star batter Travis Head at Sunrisers Hyderabad during the IPL 2025 and the 27-year-old said he enjoyed getting to know the pair during his brief stint with the franchise. "Heady is one of the top blokes around and Patty is also a great guy. I spent some time with them at the Sunrisers during the IPL and there was a lot of banter," Mulder said.
"I trained a lot because I didn't play a lot in the IPL and I spent a lot of time facing Pat and facing Heady (in the nets), so there was a lot of banter coming into the WTC," he added.

Ambati Rayudu sparks fresh debate over Suryakumar's T20 World Cup-winning catch: 'Rope was pushed back'
Ambati Rayudu has sparked fresh debate over the legitimacy of Suryakumar Yadav's T20 World Cup-winning catch in 2024 as he made a stunning claim regarding the boundary ropes being disturbed in the final. Former India cricketer Ambati Rayudu has sparked a fresh debate about the controversial Suryakumar Yadav catch in the T20 World Cup 2024 final that helped the Men in Blue clinch the ICC trophy. Rayadu has claimed that the boundary ropes were pushed back before the catch was taken. While Miller's catch by SKY at the long-off on the first ball of the final over was perfectly legal, fans have often questioned its legitimacy. The shot off Hardik Pandya when South Africa needed 16 in the last over looked like a six before Suryakumar showed great athleticism with a juggling act at the ropes, catching the ball, releasing it before going outside the boundary line, and then coming back in time to grab it back. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Fans unleashed multiple theories on social media as they dissected the images and videos from multiple angles, some even claiming the SKY touched the ropes while handling the ball, but nothing concrete was proven. Raydudu says boundary rope was pushed back during Suryakumar's catch Now, in an explosive podcast, Rayudu has claimed that the boundary rope was moved back to make space for broadcast equipment during the final, but it was never restored to its original position. Rayudu was part of the commentary team during the final in Barbados. 'There were world feed commentators. During the break, they usually put a chair and a screen there for broadcasters. That's why the rope was pushed back a little. But after the screen and chair were removed, it was left that way. The boundary ended up being a bit bigger for us. We could see it clearly from above. It was god's plan,' Rayudu said on Unfiltered Podcast with Shubhankar Mishra. Ambati Rayudu – "The broadcaster indirectly helped Surya with that catch if the rope was inside it was a clear six." Later he covered it up by saying God was with us. Is this guy indirectly taking a dig at India's T20 World Cup win?Why has he been so salty in the last 1 year 🙁 — 𝐉𝐨𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐞 (@jod_insane) August 18, 2025 Suryakumar was also asked once about the possibility of the catch being illegal in any way, but the India T20I captain made a witty comeback. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD 'I don't know if it was a six (in natural circumstances) or not. If the rope had been placed at its normal position, maybe Surya would've run from inside,' he said.

Kevin Pietersen apologised for on-air 'joker' jibe, Ambati Rayudu says he could've fired back: 'You did nothing for RCB'
Former India batter Ambati Rayudu took a dig at ex-England captain Kevin Pietersen over his viral on-air 'joker' comment aimed at him after the IPL 2024 final between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai. Rayudu revealed that professional courtesy had stopped him from hitting back at the time. Ambati Rayudu recalled an IPL 2024 banter with Kevin Pietersen After Kolkata beat Sunrisers to lift their third title in history, Pietersen, while in conversation with Matthew Hayden and Rayudu on Star Sports, mocked the Indian for switching allegiances. 'I have at least held firm. I wore it and I owned it. You are a joker, always a joker,' Pietersen told Rayudu, pointing towards the jacket he wore. The former Chennai Super Kings batter responded, saying, 'I am supporting both the teams. I am supporting good cricket." The 'joker' comment sparked widespread discussion on social media, with fans and analysts debating the exchange. Recalling the episode in Shubhankar Mishra's podcast, Rayudu explained why he changed his jacket during his broadcasting duty, saying it had nothing to do with which side he supported. He further said that in reply he could have questioned Pietersen's contributions for Royal Challengers Bangalore during his IPL stint for the franchise between 2009 and 2010. The veteran batter, who won six IPL titles with CSK and Mumbai Indians, said he chose to maintain professional decorum and respect broadcast etiquette during the incident. 'That day we had not picked teams. Chennai was hot, so I had two jackets. On air, he said whatever, but we could also tell him things because he played for RCB and did not do anything. I was maintaining professional decorum. He apologised later, also, for saying that on air. We were just having banter, but people took it in some way. But it affected him more and not me,' Rayudu said. Pietersen's IPL career spanned three franchises. He started with RCB, scoring 329 runs with two fifties across two seasons, before moving to Delhi Daredevils (2012–2014), and later representing the now-defunct Rising Pune Supergiant in 2016. Despite flashes of brilliance, his IPL career was often critiqued for inconsistency, which added weight to Rayudu's on-air jab.

India's Asia Cup Squad 2025: R Ashwin Makes Stunning Selection Call, Snubs This Top Star
Former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has shared his opinion on the burning selection topic in the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2025. As the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) gears up to pick the squad for the continental event on Tuesday, Ashwin made some bold selection calls as he named his 15-member squad for the tournament. For Ashwin, there was no place for Test skipper Shubman Gill, whose case has been highly debated among fans and experts the last few days. But, Ashwin had no hesitation in picking Shreyas Iyer in the roster. At the top, Ashwin had no qualms in picking the duo of Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson, while Shreyas Iyer came in at the No. 3 spot for the veteran off-spinner. Ashwin also feels Shreyas' inclusion wouldn't leave any spot for Shivam Dube in the squad. "Shreyas at 3. Surya and Tilak can float. Surya and Tilak can change between 4 and 5. If you are bringing Shreyas Iyer on the scheme of things, then Shivam Dube doesn't have a place. He doesn't have a place. He can be in a backup position. Which we can discuss. Because if Shreyas Iyer, Surya and Tilak, if they form your top 5, then it is 6 and 7. 6 and 7 is a block. Akshar Patel and Hardik Pandya. There is no debate in that," Ashwin said in a video on his YouTube channel, 'Ash Ki Baat'. Among wicket-keepers, the likes of KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel and Jitesh Sharma are competing for the spot of Sanju Samson's backup. Ashwin is strongly of the opinion that Jitesh will win that race. "We have sent Sanju up (in the order). So, we will have to discuss who is the backup keeper. There are many candidates for backup keeper. Last time, Dhruv Jhurel was there. KL Rahul is there. Rishabh Pant, I am not sure if he is recovered. "But on one hand, the real person that I think is going to walk into this Indian team is Jitesh Sharma. As per his IPL, and the way he batted, and he can play the role of a finisher. If Jitesh Sharma is your backup keeper, then Shivam Dube goes out of the window. "Shivam Dube cannot come. If Jitesh Sharma is going to be a part of it, Shivam Dubey is out, can't come in. "Because Jitesh Sharma will take care of finishing. Which means, Jitesh Sharma becomes your backup wicket-keeper. Which is your 15th slot," Ashwin added. In the spin bowling unit, Ashwin gave his vote of confidence to Kuldeep Yadav of Washington Sundar while Varun Chakravarthy is a certain pick in the team. "So, at number 8, it is between Washington Sundar and Kuldeep. You know my opinion. Kuldeep Yadav at 8. So, Washington Sundar goes to number 14. At number 9, Varun Chakravarthy. You must have seen in TNPL, the way he batted. He has worked a bit on batting.
