FBI recognizes three young girls for stopping Kent kidnapping
Last week, Kylie, Bentley, and Esme were presented with certificates at their middle school praising 'Exceptional Service in the Public Interest' by Seattle's Violent Crimes Against Children squad.
KIRO 7′s Samantha Lomibao spoke with spoke exclusively with the girls in July when it all happened.
The incident happened at an East Hill apartment complex on Kent Kangley Road, where a man attempted to abduct a young girl.
The 40-year-old suspect, Haydar Hasan Albu Mohammad, pleaded guilty to an attempted luring charge in December. He was released and put on unsupervised probation for 24 months.

Manhattan Judge Denies Request to Unseal Epstein Grand Jury Transcripts
A Manhattan judge on Wednesday denied the government's request to unseal grand jury testimony from the prosecution of the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, as President Trump tried to dispel criticism and conspiracy theories from his supporters. Judge Berman's opinion about the transcripts came about a week after a different Manhattan judge denied the government's request to unseal grand jury transcripts from its investigation into Ghislaine Maxwell, a longtime companion of Mr. Epstein. Ms. Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for sexually exploiting and abusing teenage girls in concert with Mr. Epstein. On Wednesday, Judge Berman said that although Trump's Justice Department argued that there was precedent for unsealing grand jury testimony, the government had failed to demonstrate any 'special circumstances' that would justify it in the Epstein case. In the six years since Mr. Epstein was found dead in his jail cell at the Metropolitan Detention Center while awaiting trial, his death has inspired myriad conspiracy theories. His proximity to powerful people inspired conspiracy theorists who have promoted the idea that America is controlled by a cabal of politicians and the wealthy. His death in federal custody, which was ruled a suicide, has also spurred improbable notions about an assassination. Top aides to Mr. Trump championed some of those theories before they entered government, and Mr. Trump had promised to release information about the investigation. However, the administration's failure to disclose any revelations has threatened to drive a wedge between the president and some of his most fervent supporters. FBI's Kash Patel vows agency won't stop combating DC crime until 'every community is safe' after 550 arrests
EXCLUSIVE: FBI Director Kash Patel said that his agency will continue pouring resources into combating crime in Washington, D.C., until "every community is safe." Patel said in a Wednesday post on X that 550 people have been arrested in Washington, D.C., since President Donald Trump moved to federalize the Metropolitan Police Department. Of those arrests, 66 were on Tuesday. Patel said the FBI was involved in 41 of the arrests on Tuesday night, with eight drug seizures and six illegal firearms recovered. "The men and women of the FBI, working side by side with our local law enforcement partners, have taken hundreds of dangerous criminals off the streets of Washington, D.C. This is proof of what happens when good cops are empowered to do their jobs the right way. Under President Trump's leadership, we're bringing historic resources to this fight because crime in our nation's capital is unacceptable – and we will continue until every community is safe," Patel said in a statement to Fox News Digital. A White House spokesperson told Fox News Digital that Tuesday night's efforts by law enforcement yielded 91 arrests, including 25 illegal immigrants. The illegal immigrants arrested on Tuesday night had criminal backgrounds, including burglary, threat to injure or kidnap a person, destruction of property and more. An MS-13 member previously convicted of drug possession and driving while intoxicated was arrested in Washington, D.C., on Monday night, Attorney General Pam Bondi posted on X. "At the direction of [President Donald Trump], our nation's capital is a SAFER place—and we are just getting started. 52 arrests were made last night, including an MS-13 gang member, and 9 firearms were taken off the streets," Bondi wrote. "Since our mission began, there have been a total of 465 arrests, 68 guns seized, and charges for homicide, narcotics, and firearm offenses. Nearly half of these arrests occurred in the high-crime areas of DC. Residents and tourists alike appreciate this extraordinary effort by our DC and Federal law enforcement partners."
