Ellen Pompeo Says She Was Deeply Uncomfortable During This 'Grey's Anatomy' Sex Scene
Ellen Pompeo has filmed a number of sex scenes in her time on television, but there's one specific scene from 'Grey's Anatomy' that left her feeling deeply uncomfortable.
Pompeo spoke about the scene ― which followed a storyline involving fellow 'Grey's' regular T.R. Knight ― during a candid interview on 'Call Her Daddy.'
'Can I tell you an inside story about that?' Pompeo said during her podcast appearance Wednesday.
'T.R. and I are such good friends and we had to do a love scene and we were both crying,' she explained, adding that the two cried and cried.
'And the scene was so uncomfortable and awkward. He didn't want to do that; I didn't want to do it,' Pompeo said.
The two ended up filming it, and it 'was so bad,' the actor said.
The network apparently felt the same way and gave feedback that 'there was 'too much thrusting.''
'In your worst nightmare to have to do it one time, we had to reshoot that shit,' she said.
Pompeo disliked the scene so much, she said, she's 'never watched that scene.'
'I don't know how it was shot or covered or how it was edited but I'm full-on in tears the whole entire scene ― and those are real tears,' she said.
Pompeo said that 'there was a lot of stuff that I didn't want to do at the time,' but she continued filming for basically one reason: money.
'The best thing is the financial security, if I'm being very honest,' Pompeo told People magazine of the show, which she starred in from 2005 to 2023.
'It's been really lucrative, and I think financial security is not something that every actress is afforded,' she added. 'So I'm very grateful for that.'

Boston University Addresses Alex Cooper Sexual Harassment Allegations
Originally appeared on E! Online Boston University is speaking out. After Alex Cooper—who played soccer for the college from 2013 to 2015—accused her former coach Nancy Feldman of sexual harassment in her new docuseries Call Her Alex, the educational institution addressed her allegations. "Boston University has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment," the university shared in a statement to E! News June 13. "We have a robust system of resources, support and staff dedicated to student wellbeing and a thorough reporting process through our Equal Opportunity Office." The statement continued, "We encourage members of our community to report any concerns, and we remain committed to fostering a safe and secure campus environment for all." Following the release of her docuseries June 10, which details the alleged abuse she experienced, Cooper further slammed the university and Feldman for the alleged mishandling of the situation. "Nancy Feldman was someone I trusted," she wrote on Instagram June 12. "Someone I believed in. Someone who was supposed to help me grow. Someone who was supposed to protect me. But instead, she made my life a living hell and abused her power over me." More from E! This defined my life for a decade and impacted her life 0%," the Call Her Daddy podcast host alleged. "There was no accountability, no investigation, and no justice." E! News has reached out to Feldman for comment and has not yet heard back. Neither Feldman nor BU has publicly responded to Cooper's allegations. After learning that others said they had, and allegedly continue, to experience similar harassment—despite Nancy retiring from BU in 2022—Cooper said she wanted to share her story. She had previously made similar comments during a Tribeca Film Festival panel last week, where she alleged that she "found out" the "harassment" was allegedly continuing at the institution. "When this initially happened to me I felt like I had no voice," she continued in her caption. "But that is no longer the case. Now I'm coming for all of you who abused your power over innocent young individuals." In the series, Cooper, now 30, alleged that Feldman "really starting to fixate" on her, more than her teammates. She added, "It was all based in her wanting to know who I was dating, her making comments about my body and her always wanting to be alone with me." She accused Feldman of playing a "psychotic game of, 'You wanna play? Tell me about your sex life, I have to drive you to your night class, get in the car with me alone.'" "If I didn't follow this woman's rules," she said, "I was gone." For the latest breaking news updates, click here to download the E! News App

Boston University Shares Statement After Alex Cooper Accuses Ex-Coach of Harassment
Boston University has issued its first statement since Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper accused the school's former soccer coach of sexual harassment. The school did not address Cooper's claims directly in the statement sent to Rolling Stone. Rather, it said, 'Boston University has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment. We have a robust system of resources, support and staff dedicated to student wellbeing and a thorough reporting process through our Equal Opportunity Office.' More from Rolling Stone Alex Cooper Opened Up About Sexual Harassment Claims Because It's 'Still Actively Happening' How to Watch Alex Cooper's New Documentary 'Call Her Alex' Online Alex Cooper Accuses Former Soccer Coach of Sexual Harassment in New Documentary It continued: 'We encourage members of our community to report any concerns, and we remain committed to fostering a safe and secure campus environment for all.' Cooper spoke publicly for the first time about Feldman in her new documentary, Call Her Alex, alleging that her coach made her 'deeply uncomfortable' with verbal remarks and physical touch. Cooper said Feldman began to 'fixate' on her more than her teammates during her sophomore year, and claimed her encouragement on the field was couched in her 'wanting to know who I was dating, her making comments about my body, and her always wanting to be alone with me.' At the time, Cooper was on a full-tuition athletics scholarship at BU, and worried about the options available to her to address this alleged harassment. 'I didn't follow this woman's rules, I was gone,' she said, adding, 'Every time I tried to resist her, she would say, 'There could be consequences.'' Eventually, Cooper said she submitted written documentation about her interactions with Feldman to BU. The University, according to Cooper, said they would not fire Feldman, but allow Cooper to keep her scholarship even if she chose not to pally on the soccer team. 'No investigation. Within five minutes, they had entirely dismissed everything I had been through,' said Cooper, who did not play on the BU soccer team her senior year. Feldman has yet to release a statement regarding Cooper's claims. She retired from Boston University in 2022. On a recent episode of Call Her Daddy, Cooper said she didn't originally plan on speaking publicly about her allegations against Feldman, but chose to after learning that others had similar experiences. 'I discovered the abuse and trauma I had been subjected to at Boston University was still actively happening on that campus in 2025, a decade after I left,' she said, adding. 'It really put in perspective that the harassment and abuse of power was, and is, so much bigger than me. It is systemic and it's happening everywhere.' Alex Cooper's Shocking Revelation In Hulu Documentary
Alex Cooper revealed she was sexually harassed by her college soccer coach in her new Hulu documentary, Call Her Alex, then told a Tribeca Festival audience Sunday that it 'changed my life forever.' The Call Her Daddy podcast star fielded a Q&A session after the Hulu docuseries about her premiered, leaving spectators gasping when she made the stunning claim, Deadline wrote. She said while on stage that she had waited several years to go public because it was difficult to reopen the wound. Cooper alleged in Call Her Alex that her then-coach at Boston University, Nancy Feldman, made comments about her body, constantly attempted to be alone with her, asked her sexual questions, and made unwelcome efforts to touch her thigh, multiple outlets reported. Cooper claimed that attempts to distance herself from Feldman resulted in less playing time. Lawyers warned Cooper and her parents that the school would 'drag out' a complaint for years, and the university did not respond to documentation of Feldman's misconduct, Cooper said, per reports. Cooper played for Boston University from 2013 to 2015. Feldman retired in 2022. Cooper returned to campus for the filming of the documentary. 'The minute I stepped back on that field, I felt so small,' Cooper said as she broke into tears during the Q&A and got a roaring ovation of support. 'I just felt like I was 18 years old again, and I was in a situation with someone in a position of power who abused their power, and I felt like I wasn't the 'Call Her Daddy' girl. I wasn't someone who had money and influence or whatever. I was just another woman who experienced harassment on a level that changed my life forever and took away the thing I loved the most.' Cooper once credited the still-undisclosed trauma for guiding her into podcasting, where she averages millions of listeners per episode. She also joined NBC for its coverage of the Paris Olympics last summer.
