Zaara Yesmin says the Kudi Anjaani song 'tested her acting skills'
Mumbai: Actress Zaara Yesmin graced the screen with the track, "Kudi Anjaani," alongside Neelkamal Singh.
Revealing what made her say yes to the project, Yesmin shared that 'First of all, the beats of the track impressed me immediately, and giving it a desi touch with Neelkamal's voice makes it a great fusion as a dance number.'
According to Yesmin, who has been a part of many musical numbers, "Kudi Anjaani" had successfully put her acting skills to the test.
'I had done many kinds of songs, all in different styles, but this one challenged me to show my expression skills in acting more than dance," she admitted.
She shared that for this song they wanted her look to be a blend of completely desi and glamorous, something they found challenging to achieve.
Yesmin stated, "I enjoyed it as a fun track on set for its beats and the setup.'
Reflecting on what this video had added to her creative journey, Yesmin revealed, 'It allows me to be versatile in different types of concepts & dance forms and definitely adds value to my journey as an artist.'
"Kudi Anjaani" also marks Yesmin's first professional association with the Bhojpuri artist, who enjoys a great fan base in the Bhojpuri industry. She revealed that she looks forward to seeing how the project adds up to her profile. Yesmin said she is also eager to witness the fans' reaction.
When asked what inspired her for the music video for "Kudi Anjaani", the actress disclosed, 'I had to keep Sushmita Sen's killing expressions in mind from the past and enhance it more in my style.'
'There are many, but what makes it more iconic is the composition of the song and the collaboration of Hindi & Bhojpuri touches, as well as the fun expressions & choreography we got to do here," Yesmim concluded.

In a recent chat with News18 Showsha, the young actor opened up about something very relatable to actors: release anxiety. Darsheel is currently seen in the web series, Gamerlog. 'I freak out whenever any of my projects releases. I want to run away. I feel like hiding in some nice location to forget about everything," Darsheel admits with honesty. The actor, who's known for his grounded persona, confessed that the days around a project's release feel overwhelming. 'This anxiety is something I can't take. It feels like people are checking your work and you are looking ki kya right hai, kya wrong. This is 100 times more exaggerated for me," he added. To cope, Darsheel has a rather simple rule – he avoids searching his name online. 'So I prefer not googling myself or my work," he said. 'It freaks me out." Darsheel spoke with raw honesty about how unprepared he was for the sudden fame. 'I was someone who knew nothing about acting. My parents are not from an acting background. I had no idea how this industry works. Everything was new for me," he shared. He added, 'In fact, I remember going to my parents asking, 'papa how much am I getting paid?' I had no idea about it and I was kept away from it for the longest time. I was told to focus on my work." Kuberaa Box Office Collection Day 6: Movie starring Dhanush, Rashmika and Nagarjuna inches closer to ₹70 crore mark
Kuberaa Box Office Collection Day 6: Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna Akkineni, is inching very close to hitting the ₹ 70-crore mark at the Indian Box Office in merely six days of its release on Wednesday. The movie, which hit the big screens on Friday, June 20, has been released in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil. Kuberaa faces key competition from Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, which was also released on June 20. Sitaare Zameen Par has earned ₹ 79.58 crore in six days. According to industry tracker Sacknilk, Kuberaa's dream run was hit with a mid-week snag, minting only ₹ 2.44 crore on Wednesday, Day 6. With this, the movie's total earnings now stand at ₹ 63.69 crore and will likely cross the ₹ 80 crore mark in a few days. However, these are just early estimates from Kuberaa's Wednesday earnings. The numbers will be revised later to include night show collections. The movie, which opened with ₹ 14.75 crore, had a superb opening weekend run, minting ₹ 16.5 crore on Saturday and ₹ 17.35 crore on Sunday. Kuberaa saw an overall 20.80% occupancy on June 25. For the Tamil version, the occupancy was as follows: The numbers for the night show are yet to be released. Kuberaa follows the story of a beggar who undergoes a dramatic transformation. The film touches upon themes of greed, ambition, moral conflicts, and more faced by the cast, ultimately leading to redemption. The screenplay of the film is co-written by Chaithanya Pingali. The music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. While Niketh Bommireddy helms the cinematography, editing is done by Karthika Srinivas. The production design was by Thota Tharani.
