French Open: Sabalenka, Zheng move to round 4
Paris: The world number one star Aryna Sabalenka moved into the fourth round of the ongoing French Open, defeating Olga Danilovic in their third round match at Paris on Friday.
As per WTA's official website, Sabalenka defeated Danilovic by 6-2, 6-3 in straight sets.
So far in four matches, Sabalenka has dropped just 10 games, and 32 of her 37 victories have come in straight sets.
Following the match, as quoted by the WTA website, Sabalenka said, "The ball flies much faster," she said. "The bounces are much higher. You have to adjust your racquet, which actually I did not, and it felt much better," she added.
Speaking about her opponent, Sabalenka said, "Well, game-wise, she definitely has everything to be in Top 20, Top 10. It is all about whether mentally she'll be ready to handle all of the pressure, and she will be ready to stay there and fight. I mean, it does not matter what the score was, but it was a tough match. It was a fight."
In the fourth round, she will be playing the world number 16, Amanda Anisimova.
Anisimova, in her third-round clash, downed the world number 22 Clara Tauson 7-6 (4), 6-4. Anisimova is a former French Open semifinalist.
Also, the current Olympic gold medalist Zheng Qinwen moved into the fourth round as well, defeating an 18-year-old Victoria Mboko in her third-round clash by 6-3, 6-4 in 1 hour and 26 minutes.
Speaking after the game about Mboko, Zheng said, "For sure, she will be one of the best players in the future. I am 100 per cent sure because she already got the strength, the game. There is nothing more I can say. I am just really happy to win such a great player like her. She is really young. She has big potential ... She hits the ball really hard, and then she had a great serve. She had huge power. She moves on the court really well."
"It was honestly really tricky and tough match, because I know if my mental goes a bit down or lose focus, I feel she gonna turn around the match. I would say today I had one of the greatest tennis that I play here so far," he added.

French Open: Sinner downs Lehecka to set date with Rublev in fourth round
Paris: Jannik Sinner staged a flawless victory against Jiri Lehecka to set a date with Andrey Rublev in the fourth round of the ongoing French Open. The top-seeded Italian dazzled spectacularly in the third round to wrap up a 6-0, 6-1, 6-2 victory over Lehecka in 94 minutes to continue with his scorching form. Sinner's dominance resonated in just nine dropped points from his serve. "I was playing really, really well. Especially for two and a half sets, then he was serving very well, very brave. He made some good serve and volleys. But I'm very happy. Simone [Vagnozzi], my coach, had his birthday yesterday, and usually when he has his birthday, I don't play well. Five-star Paris Saint-Germain are champions of Europe
MUNICH: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are European champions for the first time after a record-breaking 5-0 victory over Inter in the UEFA Champions League final played in Munich on Sunday night. Luis Enrique-coached PSG are the 24th different champions in European Cup history and it was the second Champions League title for Enrique, having previously won with Barcelona. Inter had trailed for only 17 minutes of their 14-game campaign prior to the final, but it did not take long for them to fall behind on this occasion. Vitinha picked the first lock with a perfectly-weighted pass for Désiré Doué, who in turn showed silky skill to square for Hakimi to convert from close range against his former club. Ousmane Dembélé provided the silver-service assist on 20 minutes, racing clear down the left before checking back on the edge of the penalty area to locate Doué. The 19-year-old needed one touch with his chest to take control and another with his right foot to fire in a shot which deflected in off Federico Dimarco. The Nerazzurri settled as the half wore on but had only off-target headers from Francesco Acerbi and Marcus Thuram to show for their efforts. Though there was renewed vigour from Simone Inzaghi's side after the break, it was Les Rouge-et-Bleu who once again had the creative and clinical edge.
