Teenagers 'chased by police in stolen DPD van' in Cambuslang
It was brought to a stop on Elder Drive in the area as officers swarmed around the stolen van.
The boys, both aged 13, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and will be reported to the relevant authorities.

An onlooker shared a video with us which shows the van driving at high speed through a leafy residential area.
They said: "I was surprised to see so many police cars in such a usually quiet area.
"There were about three or four chasing the van.
"It sped around the corner, narrowly missing a car parked at the junction.
"Long after it was away, there were multiple police cars still flying through the area chasing it.
"It's the biggest response I've seen in quite a while."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.30am on Monday, 11 August, 2025 we received a report of a stolen van being driven in the Cambuslang area.
"The vehicle, the driver and a passenger were traced in Elder Drive, Cambuslang, a short time later.
"Two boys, both aged 13, were arrested and charged in connection and will be reported to the relevant authorities."
A spokesperson for DPD confirmed that the van was stolen and that it was empty at the time.

Warning shoplifting 'out of control' after Highland rise

Tay River rescue mission underway after 'concern for person' in water
A search is underway in the River Tay involving boats and helicopters. A rescue mission in a Scots river is underway amid a large-scale emergency response. Emergency crews have raced to the River Tay in Perth this evening at around 7.45pm after receiving a report of concern for a person in the water. Police Scotland have sealed off Tay Street in both directions, from Marshall Place to Canal Street, for motorists and pedestrians as they urge people to avoid the area. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that three appliances had been sent to the scene alongside two officers and two rescue boats. Two helicopters have also been pictured in the sky by locals as crews search the river, with ambulances also being spotted. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.45pm on Thursday, 14 August, 2025 we received a report of a concern for a person in the water near to Tay Street, Perth. "As a result, Tay Street is closed in both directions, from Marshall Place to Canal Street, for motorists and pedestrians. "Emergency services are in attendance and people are asked to avoid the area." A SFRS spokesperson added: 'We received the call at 7.37pm to Moncrieffe Island. Second man charged over 'popular' Aberdeen man's death
Austin, 25, was found injured on Skene Street in the city on Sunday, August 3. A second man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Austin Ironside in Aberdeen. Austin, 25, was found injured on Skene Street in the Granite City on Sunday, August 3. He was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where, despite medics best efforts, he died on Tuesday, August 5. A 34-year-old man has now become the second person arrested, following an investigation into Austin's death. Police confirmed they arrested and charged the male suspect today. He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court tomorrow. It comes after a man appeared in court today charged with murder and robbery in connection with Austin's death. Scott Lewis Adams, 46, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday. Adams, of Aberdeen, made no plea. He was remanded in custody while the case was committed for further examination. Adams is expected to reappear in court within the next eight days. Police confirmed enquiries into the circumstances surrounding Austin's death are ongoing. Meanwhile, Austin was remembered as a "popular" man by his devastated loved ones. In a statement released via Police Scotland, his family said: 'Austin was popular, with friends across the city, and would do anything to help others. He was always smiling and his infectious laugh brought light into the lives of everyone who knew him. "We are all devastated by what has happened and would like privacy at this terrible time.' . A picture taken at the scene showed a home on the street cordoned off with officers in attendance. Elsewhere, t ributes were poured on social media for Austin following the news of his death. Karen Thompson said: "RIP Austin you were a lovely lad, always nice when he came to visit my son." James Butler said: "R.I.P Austin (Ozzie, Fatty) Ironside.. you were a top lad will never forget the times we had, gone far too young, one of the best young lads around."
