Conor McGregor ends eight year feud with 50 Cent as rapper visits Black Forge

Sunday World08-07-2025
It was a dramatic turnaround for the pair who shared a very real beef that ignited in 2017
Conor McGregor and rapper 50 Cent have buried the hatchet on a long-running social media feud with a night out together in the Dubliner's Black Forge Inn.
'Welcome 50!! To the best pub in the world,' the pub posted on Instagram alongside a picture of the rap star who had played Dublin's Longitude festival over the weekend.
The UFC star also bragged about hosting '50 Cent in da house at The Black Forge to celebrate his birthday'.
'Happy Birthday 50!' McGregor wrote on his Instagram story. A second story appeared shortly after: '50 Cent is in the gaf now! THE BLACK FORGE INN! His 50th bday today. SPECTACULAR.'
It was a dramatic turnaround for the pair who shared a very real beef that ignited in 2017 when McGregor, ahead of his boxing match against Floyd Mayweather, called out 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson.

During a press conference to promote the bout, the MMA fighter said: "50 Cent's a b****. You and 50 are two fake money b****es. He's bankrupt, and you're about to be."
The rapper, who was once close to Mayweather, quickly retaliated as he sneered at McGregor's loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov and claiming he could beat McGregor in a street fight.
This prompted Notorious to dare 50 to fight him in a celebrity bout.
McGregor wrote in November 2019: 'I'd have to probably say 50 Cent, I'd like to fight him.
'Throughout the course of the Floyd Mayweather build-up, I used him as a tool, a promotional tool on the free also. I knew he was linked to Floyd, so I tied him in also, and he responded big time and capitalised on that audience, so I was very thankful.
'But then after that, he began a little tirade against me on social media, particularly Instagram, where he'd make these memes about me constantly.

'Every time I'd go onto the internet, I'd see 50 Cent had posted up some new stupid meme, and I wrote on one of the memes – old man on the internet making memes – and then he blocked me.
'So he's had to block me, and I still see sometimes, I still get tagged in other people saying he's saying this and he's saying that.
'So I'd like to have a knock-off with 50, yeah. So if you're listening, 50, let's get it going, bud.'
But it appeared they had settled their differences as 50 arrived at McGregor's pub on his 50th birthday where a video of them hugging it out delighted fans.
'Wild crossover!' one fan commented, while another added: 'McGregor and 50 Cent in Ireland is not a duo I expected today.'
Last Year, Nikita Hand was awarded almost €250,000 by a jury that found she had been assaulted by McGregor in the Beacon Hotel in Sandyford in 2018.
Father-of-four McGregor claimed he had 'vigorous' and 'fully consensual' sex with Ms Hand after they went to a penthouse in December of that year.
He denied raping Ms Hand or being responsible for extensive bruising later seen on her body.
However, a civil jury answered 'yes' to the question 'Did Conor McGregor assault Nikita Hand?' and awarded her close to €250,000 in damages.
The trial judge, Mr Justice Alexander Owens, said the jury had determined McGregor had raped her.
Last week, in McGregor's' appeal against his civil rape trial verdict, statements by 'witnesses' who claimed they saw Nikita Hand being attacked through their upstairs window were formally withdrawn.
Samantha O'Reilly had come forward to claim that she clearly viewed a 'heated row' between Ms Hand and her then partner when she looked out her bedroom window late on 'Sunday night/early on the Monday morning' in December 2018.
However, the statements have now been referred to the DPP by the judges for perjury.

Conor McGregor invites Donald Trump to Ireland and drops wild AI image

UFC fighter Conor McGregor has made a peculiar invitation to Donald Trump to sample the "best Coke in Ireland". The 37-year-old, who has found himself at the centre of several recent scandals including a civil rape case, received a White House invitation earlier this year. McGregor has now reciprocated with an invite for Trump to visit his Dublin establishment. The invitation was posted on X, accompanied by an AI-generated image depicting Trump and McGregor as medieval knights. Trump is notably seen sipping a can of coke in the image, reports the Daily Star. The post read: "See you in November Donald, at Irelands greatest public house, the multi time award winning, Black Forge Inn. We look very forward!". "Ireland's friend Donald Trump, we have the best Coke in all Ireland for you to try! Sparkly fizzy, and on the rocks. With Irish lemon and lime, also! For adding. "ICE COLD! Our Coca Cola factory is just 5 minutes away on the long mile road, walking distance, from the black forge inn!'GIVE THAT BOY A CAN OF COKE!'". "You are going to LOVE IT! The unique, true, IRISH EXPERIENCE!". Last week, McGregor's appeal was rejected against a High Court jury's verdict that he assaulted Nikita Hand. Ms Hand, 35, won her civil case against McGregor, 37, regarding an incident where he allegedly "brutally raped and battered" her at a penthouse in a south Dublin hotel in December 2018. The jury determined McGregor, who maintained in court that he had consensual sex with Ms Hand, was civilly liable for assault when proceedings wrapped up last November. The disgraced former UFC champion, who was ordered to pay more than £200,000 in damages to Ms Hand, subsequently launched an appeal. The MMA fighter's appeal was based on five grounds, one of which involved purported fresh evidence, which was later withdrawn at a hearing earlier this month. McGregor also appealed on the grounds that his legal team believed his responses to police during questioning should not have been presented to the jury. His barrister also contended that a question on the "issue paper" provided to the jury to assist them in reaching their verdict should have been phrased differently. This centred on the question "did Conor McGregor assault Nikita Hand?" being posed to the jury on the issue paper. McGregor's legal team argued it should have specified sexual assault.
