Rolex Land-Dweller watch
Reimagining timeless design with a distinctly contemporary aesthetic, the Land-Dweller reinterprets its design with integrated bracelets, sketching out fresh perspectives. The timepiece was first explored in 1969 with the Rolex Quartz, and then again in 1974 on a Datejust with a self-winding movement. This design creates a visual harmony that seamlessly melds the bracelet and case in one smooth continuous line, accentuated by the polished chamfering on the top edges of the bracelet and case, which produces a ribbon of reflections when it catches the light. The graphic appeal of the dial stems from a nature-inspired honeycomb motif, which is offered in two diameters, 36 mm and 40 mm. The watch is available in a white Rolesor version or in an 18 carat Everose gold with an intense white dial, and in 950 platinum with an ice blue dial (as shown in the picture). On the versions with a Chromalight display, the open numerals and index hour markers are luminescent, which offer optimal legibility, enhanced by luminescent hands that have been specially designed for the watch. Sleek, elegant, and technically savvy, the Land-Dweller is a watch for all occasions.

LATAM Airlines to host next IATA AGM in Rio de Janeiro
The 82nd IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in June 2026, hosted by LATAM Airlines Group, International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced. 'We are excited to accept LATAM's offer to host IATA's 82nd AGM in Rio de Janeiro. The last time the IATA AGM was in South America was in 1999, also in Rio. It will be a great opportunity to take stock of changes over two decades of development that have seen strengthening air connectivity successfully support major world events like the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics. By meeting in the largest aviation market in South America, the AGM will highlight the great potential for aviation to be an even more powerful strategic force driving social and economic prosperity,' said Willie Walsh, IATA's Director General. 'LATAM is proud to host the IATA AGM in Brazil in 2026, the main market for our airline group connecting South America to the world. In addition to facilitating a successful gathering of our industry leaders, we look forward to showcasing the contributions and enormous potential for aviation in Brazil and throughout South America. We are confident that Rio de Janeiro, one of the most spectacular cities in the world with its unparalleled hospitality and beauty, will ensure a warm welcome and a memorable experience for all attendees,' said Roberto Alvo, CEO of LATAM Airlines Group. LATAM Airlines Group connects people and cultures across South America and beyond with 153 destinations across 27 countries. In 2024, LATAM transported a record 82 million passengers and achieved significant milestones in fleet modernization and environmental sustainability. Hosting the IATA AGM in Rio de Janeiro reflects Brazil's rich history in aviation, dating back to the pioneering efforts of Alberto Santos-Dumont, who is celebrated as one of the fathers of aviation. His historic flight in 1906 marked a significant milestone in the development of powered flight, not only in Latin America but also the entire globe, a statement said. Previous IATA AGMs held in Brazil were in Petropolis (1947) and Rio de Janeiro (1999). NEW CHAIRMAN Meanwhile, Luis Gallego, CEO of International Airlines Group (IAG), has assumed his duties as Chair of the IATA Board. His one-year term began at the conclusion of the 81st IATA Annual General Meeting in New Delhi, India. Gallego is the 83rd Chair of the IATA Board on which he has served since 2018. Gallego succeeds IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers, who will continue to serve on the Board. 'I am honoured to be taking up the position of Chair of the IATA Board. The airline industry faces significant challenges—accelerating environmental action, managing geopolitical shifts and supply chain issues, and dealing with concerns over infrastructure capacity and costs. At the same time, the industry has incredible strengths to call on— most of all the quality of the people that strive to make aviation a safe, secure and rewarding experience for millions of travelers every day. IATA has a vital role in harnessing these human and technical resources to deliver leadership and innovation. I look forward to playing my part in steering IATA in its long mission for a strong and successful airline industry,' said Gallego. Gallego has nearly 30 years of broad experience in the aviation industry. He became IAG's chief executive in September 2020, joining from Iberia, where he was chairman and chief executive from January 2014. During his tenure at Iberia, he turned the airline around and improved its efficiency, customer service and brand. Before that, Gallego launched Iberia Express, as chief executive from January 2012, making the new Iberia subsidiary one of the most efficient and punctual airlines in Europe. Gallego joined Iberia Express from Vueling where he was chief operating officer from 2009, when the airline merged with the low-cost carrier Clickair which he co-founded in 2006. He held various posts at Spanish regional airline Air Nostrum between 1997 and 2006. 'I look forward to working with Luis to deliver an agenda of IATA activities that are critical to the current and future success of our member airlines. Luis has a long and deep involvement with the complex issues which are top priorities for our Association—facilitating net zero carbon emissions by 2050, achieving a smart approach to regulation and ensuring a capacity and cost structure that can meet the growing demands for air connectivity. I also want to thank Pieter Elbers for his strong support and leadership over the past year, and in particular for his hosting of a spectacular and invigorating AGM in India,' said Willie Walsh, IATA's Director General.

96% of Saudi Eid travel searches target international destinations
As Saudi Arabia prepares for an extended Eid Al-Adha holiday from Thursday, June 5 (Dhul Hijjah 9) through Monday, June 9 (Dhul Hijjah 13), travel activity across the kingdom is witnessing a significant surge. Citizens and residents alike are seizing the opportunity to explore a variety of destinations, ranging from global cities with deep cultural ties to domestic hotspots rich in natural and spiritual heritage. According to the latest insights from Wego, a leading travel app and largest online travel marketplace in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), there has been a remarkable shift towards international travel. A staggering 96.12% of Eid-related travel searches from Saudi users are for international trips, a notable increase from 87.34% during the same period last year. This trend reflects a growing appetite among Saudi travellers for global experiences, buoyed by the extended public holiday and facilitated entry requirements, it said. Strong Preference for Culturally Linked Destinations Wego data reveals that countries with longstanding familial and cultural ties to the kingdom continue to dominate search trends. Egypt, India, the UAE, Pakistan, Türkiye, and Bangladesh top the list, highlighting a preference for destinations where travellers can reunite with family and celebrate Eid in a spiritually familiar setting. European destinations such as Italy, Azerbaijan, the United Kingdom, Georgia, and Russia are also rising in popularity. These countries offer a compelling mix of cooler climates, scenic views, and historical richness. In Asia, Saudi travelers are increasingly drawn to Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Japan, which offer immersive nature escapes, wellness experiences, and family-friendly resorts. Domestic Travel Retains Its Appeal While international destinations are gaining prominence, domestic travel continues to play a significant role in Eid plans for Saudi citizens. Jeddah, Riyadh, Madinah, Dammam, and Abha remain among the most searched local destinations. These cities attract visitors with their festive atmospheres, cultural events, and temperate weather—particularly in Abha—along with providing unique spiritual experiences in cities such as Madinah. Cultural Exploration Drives Destination Choices Cultural tourism is emerging as a key factor in travel decisions. Cities like Istanbul, Cairo, Jakarta, and Tbilisi are increasingly favored for their rich blend of Islamic heritage sites, historical landmarks, and vibrant local life. According to Wego, these destinations resonate strongly with Saudi travelers seeking authenticity and meaningful cultural engagement during the Eid season. Simplified Access to Global Travel for Saudi Citizens The growing preference for international travel is significantly supported by simplified visa policies for Saudi passport holders. Türkiye, Thailand, Georgia, the Philippines, and Malaysia currently offer visa-free access. Meanwhile, other popular destinations provide efficient electronic visa systems, visa waivers (such as the UK's Electronic Travel Authorization), or visa-on-arrival facilities, making it easier than ever for travelers to make spontaneous plans. - TradeArabia News Service

Gulftainer appoints Farid Belbouab as Group CEO
Gulftainer, the UAE-headquartered global port and logistics solutions provider, has appointed Farid Belbouab as Group Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1. Belbouab is a seasoned supply chain and logistics leader with over 20 years of international experience. He joins Gulftainer from Meratus Group, one of Southeast Asia's leading maritime and logistics companies, where he served as CEO. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles at CMA CGM, driving business growth across Africa and Asia. In his new role, Belbouab will focus on advancing Gulftainer's transformation agenda by leveraging innovation and technology to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. He will work closely with the Board, partners, and clients to expand the company's global footprint and solidify its position as a forward-thinking, customer-centric logistics provider. Belbouab succeeds Peter Richards, who steps down as Group CEO after an exceptional 38-year tenure, including nearly 20 years at the helm. Richards joined Gulftainer in 1987 and has been instrumental in guiding the company's evolution from a local UAE terminal operator to an internationally recognised name in port and logistics services. While retiring from day-to-day management, Peter will continue to support Gulftainer in an advisory capacity and as a member of the Executive Board. Reflecting on his journey, Richards said: 'Over the years, I have often been asked what makes Gulftainer special. My answer has always been the same — it's our people, and the pride they take in doing their best for their families and their Gulftainer family. As we continue to focus on delivering long-term value to our customers, I extend my best wishes to Farid and look forward to supporting him in this next chapter.' Commenting on his appointment, Belbouab said: 'It is an honour to take on the role of Group CEO at Gulftainer, especially as the company approaches its 50th anniversary. I look forward to building on the strong foundation laid by Peter and the team, and to working closely with all our stakeholders to drive future growth and excellence.'
