CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tempus AI, Inc. (NASDAQ: TEM), a technology company leading the adoption of AI to advance precision medicine and patient care, today announced the launch of its Fuses program. This initiative will harness Tempus' proprietary dataset to generate valuable insights for both patient care and research, combining the power of its data and machine learning capabilities to develop an AI enabled-diagnostic platform offering physicians the largest suite of algorithmic tests designed to make precision medicine a reality.
Over the past decade, Tempus has built a multimodal data library of over 40 million research records, including more than 1.5 million records with matched clinical data linked with genomic information, 2 million records with imaging data, and approximately 300,000 records with genomic and whole transcriptomic data. (NASDAQ: ASPI) and Isotopia Molecular Imaging Ltd. have entered into a strategic agreement to secure the supply of Gadolinium-160 (Gd-160), a critical precursor isotope for producing Terbium-161 (Tb-161), an emerging medical isotope with significant potential in targeted radiotherapeutics. This partnership addresses longstanding supply challenges for Gd-160, enabling Isotopia to advance Tb-161-based therapies for prostate cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, and other malignancies. Under the agreement, ASP Isotopes will leverage its proprietary Quantum Enrichment technology to provide Isotopia with enriched Gd-160, a stable isotope essential for manufacturing Tb-161. By Wayne Cole SYDNEY (Reuters) - Asian share markets made a wary start to the week on Monday as investors navigated the shifting sands of White House tariff policy, while awaiting key U.S. jobs data and a widely expected cut in European interest rates. There was little obvious reaction to President Donald Trump's threat late Friday to double tariffs on imported steel and aluminium to 50%, beginning on June 4, a sudden twist that drew the ire of European Union negotiators. Speaking on Sunday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Trump would soon speak with Chinese President Xi Jinping to iron out a dispute over critical minerals. White House officials continued to play down a court ruling that Trump had overstepped his authority by imposing across-the-board duties on imports from U.S. trading partners. "The court ruling will complicate the path ahead on trade policy, but there remains an ample set of provisions available to the administration to deliver its desired results," said Bruce Kasman, chief economist at JPMorgan. "There is a commitment to maintaining a minimum U.S. tariff rate of at least 10% and imposing further sector tariff increases," he added. "An increase in ASEAN to discourage transhipment looks likely, and the bias for higher tariffs on US-EU trade persists." Markets will be particularly interested to see if Trump goes ahead with the 50% tariff on Wednesday, or backs off as he has done so often before. In the meantime, caution reigned and MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan went flat. Japan's Nikkei fell 1.1%, while South Korean stocks dipped 0.1%. S&P 500 futures eased 0.2% and Nasdaq futures lost 0.3%. The S&P climbed 6.2% in May, while the Nasdaq rallied 9.6% on hopes final import levies will be far lower than the initial sky-high levels. Front-running the tariffs has already caused wild swings in the economy, with a contraction in the first quarter likely turning into a jump this quarter as imports fall back. The Atlanta Fed GDPNow estimate is running at an annualised 3.8%, though analysts assume this will slow sharply in the second half of the year. Data this week on U.S. manufacturing and jobs will offer a timely reading on the pulse of activity, with payrolls seen rising 130,000 in May while unemployment stays at 4.2%. EYEING UNEMPLOYMENT A rise in unemployment is one of the few developments that could get the Federal Reserve to start thinking of easing policy again, with investors having largely given up on a cut this month or next. A move in September is seen at around a 75% chance, though Fed officials have stopped well short of endorsing such pricing. There are at least 11 Fed speakers on the diary for this week, led by Fed Chair Jerome Powell later on Monday. Fed Governor Christopher Waller did say on Sunday that cuts remain possible later this year as he saw downside risks to economic activity and employment and upside risks to inflation from the tariffs. A softer jobs report would be a relief for the Treasury market, where 30-year yields continue to flirt with the 5% barrier as investors demand a higher premium to offset the ever-expanding supply of debt. The Senate this week will start considering a tax-and-spending bill that will add an estimated $3.8 trillion to the federal government's $36.2 trillion in debt. Across the Atlantic, the European Central Bank is considered almost certain to cut its rates by a quarter point to 2.0% on Thursday, while markets will be sensitive to guidance on the chance of another move as early as July. The Bank of Canada meets Wednesday and markets imply a 76% chance it will hold rates at 2.75%, while sounding dovish on the future given the tariff-fuelled risk of recession there. Widening rate spreads have so far offered only limited support to the U.S. dollar. "The greenback remains near the lower end of its post-2022 range and considerably weaker than interest rate differentials would imply," noted Jonas Goltermann, deputy chief markets economist at Capital Economics. "Sentiment around the greenback remains negative and it continues to look vulnerable to further bad news on the fiscal and trade policy fronts." On Monday, the dollar had dipped 0.2% on the yen to 143.79, while the euro edged up a fraction to $1.1353. [USD/] The greenback also slipped 0.1% on the Canadian dollar to 1.3727, getting no tailwind from Trump's threat of 50% tariffs on Canadian steel exports. In commodity markets, gold edged up 0.6% to $3,310 an ounce, having lost 1.9% last week. Oral Presentation Title: Preliminary results from the dose-escalation stage of a phase I trial of an anti-CCR8 antibody in patients with relapsed/refractory cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (R/R CTCL) (Abstract No.: 2514) The current study is the first and only report on the preliminary efficacy data of anti-CCR8 targeted therapy for CTCL patients. The efficacy of ICP-B05 was supported by the PD effects in both skin lesions and peripheral blood in the depletion of CCR8+ cells. ICP-B05 is safe and well tolerated and its safety profile made it a good candidate for combo therapies for CTCL patients with lymph node and other organ involvement. As of Jan. 6, 2025, a total of 13 patients with R/R CTCL were treated. There were 12 patients received at least one skin lesion assessment followed the mSWAT. 33.3% of patients achieved PR, and 58.3% of patients were assessed as SD with reduction in skin lesion. The 6-month PFS rate was 82.5%, and the median PFS was 11.4 months. Among the five patients with CCR8+ levels exceeding 10%, four (80%) achieved PR. PK analysis showed that serum exposure (Cmax and AUC0-14D) increased with dose escalation. PD analysis demonstrated significant depletion of CCR8-expressing cells in CTCL skin lesions. Poster 1: Title: Preliminary safety and efficacy data of ICP-248, a novel BCL2 inhibitor, in patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancies (Abstract No.: 7038) The results of ICP-248 monotherapy suggests a well-tolerated safety profile and an exciting efficacy in BTK failed, heavily treated, relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancies. As of April 15, 2025, a total of 68 patients were enrolled in the dose escalation and dose expansion study. 17 R/R CLL/SLL and 32 R/R MCL patients were treated with 125 mg of ICP-248, including 10 CLL/SLL and 25 MCL patients were previously treated with BTK inhibitors, and 70.0% of CLL/SLL patients and 100% of MCL patients were resistant to BTK inhibitors. 17 CLL/SLL and 26 MCL patients had at least one response assessment. Among the BTK naïve patients, the ORR for R/R CLL/SLL and R/R MCL patients were both 100%, and the CRR was 14.3% and 71.4% respectively, of which 43% of MCL patients reported undetectable minimal residual disease (uMRD). Among the BTK treated patients, the ORR for R/R CLL/SLL and R/R MCL patients were 100% and 78.9% respectively, and the CRR were 30.0% and 26.3% respectively, of which uMRD was reported in 20% of CLL/SLL and 16% of MCL patients. The median PFS of R/R MCL patients who had received treatment of BTK inhibitors before was 8.3 months. The PFS was not reached among BTK naïve R/R CLL/SLL and R/R MCL patients and BTK-treated R/R CLL/SLL patients. Poster 2: Title: Efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetics (PK) of zurletrectinib, a next-generation pan-TRK inhibitor, in pediatric and adolescent patients with NTRK fusion-positive (NTRK+) solid tumors (Abstract No.: 10048) The integrated analysis demonstrated that zurletrectinib had significant efficacy and good safety profile in pediatric and adolescent patients with NTRK+ solid tumors. Zurletrectinib also showed the potential to overcome the resistance to first generation TRK inhibitors. These findings support zurletrectinib is a better treatment option for NTRK+ pediatric and adolescent patients. As of Nov. 23, 2024, 18 patients in total were enrolled, including 8 pediatric patients and 10 adolescent patients. Among the 18 patients, 6 TRK inhibitor treatment-naïve patients with central lab confirmed NTRK+ were efficacy evaluable. The confirmed ORR assessed by IRC was 100%. All patients achieved partial response (PR) at the first tumor assessment and maintained the remission as of the cutoff date. Median time to response were 1.0 month in adolescent patients and 0.9 month in pediatric patients. It is worth noting that one pediatric patient who progressed on prior first-generation TRK inhibitor achieved complete response after receiving zurletrectinib. Poster 3: Title: Updated efficacy and safety of zurlectrectinib in adult patients (pts) with locally advanced or metastatic NTRK fusion-positive (NTRK+) solid tumors (Abstract No.: 3112) In line with previously reported results, zurletrectinib continued to demonstrate a deep and durable responses in adult patients with NTRK+ advanced solid tumors with or without brain metastasis. Zurletrectinib was also well-tolerated and showed favorable safety profile in adult patients with various tumor types. As of Nov. 23, 2024, a total of 49 TRK inhibitor naïve adult patients were evaluable for efficacy representing 12 different solid tumor types. Among the efficacy population, the distribution of NTRK1, NTRK2 and NTRK3 fusions was 53.1%, 2.0% and 44.9% respectively. The confirmed ORR by IRC was 83.7%, with CR of 10.2%. Median duration of response (DOR) and median progression-free survival (PFS) by IRC were not reached. The DOR rate and PFS rate by IRC at 12 months was 92.0% and 90.5% respectively. Two of the three patients who had brain metastasis at the baseline achieved intracerebral ORR, which is consistent with the good brain penetration and strong intracranial activity of zurletrectinib.
