Dubai: 3 women arrested for performing illegal cosmetic procedures at apartment
Authorities said the operations posed serious risks to public safety and breached the UAE's laws.
The Anti-Economic Crime Department made the arrests in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). The police said they received a tip-off about suspicious activities at the apartment. After confirming the information, officers carried out a raid, seizing medical equipment and unlicensed medications.
The suspects have been referred to the public prosecution for legal action.
Officials warned that performing medical and cosmetic work in unlicensed locations endangers the health and safety of clients. Dubai Police urged residents to seek treatment only from licensed facilities, verify the credentials of service providers, and avoid offers that could put their lives at risk.
The public was also encouraged to report illegal medical activities through the 'Police Eye' service or by calling 901. Dubai Police reaffirmed their commitment to fighting unlicensed medical practices and enhancing community safety.

Bao Bao Panda, a meme coin with a grinning mascot, viral internet hype, and AI-driven investing, claimed it would change fortunes 'one paw-step at a time.' Instead, it left a Dubai-based Indian businessman with a $600,491 hole (Dh2.2 million) in his account and on the trail of a scam now under investigation by Dubai Police. Al Riffa Police have registered a fraud case against an Indian man for posing as a licensed virtual asset trader. The suspect allegedly convinced the victim to exchange $600,491 worth of USDT tokens for Bao Bao Panda, promising the meme coin's value would double. A police certificate submitted to the public prosecutor and shared with the businessman confirms the case details. Investigators found the accused had no license to trade digital assets in the UAE, violating anti-money laundering laws and federal virtual asset regulations. Authorities have issued a circular to locate the suspect, who reportedly fled the country in April. 'This is not how it was supposed to be,' the businessman told Khaleej Times, recalling the nearly 60 cryptocurrency transfers he made. The coin's white paper seen by Khaleej Times promised global contests, virtual panda races, and even wildlife conservation. 'What I got was a police file, a forensic audit, and a dead-end crypto trail.' He claims an Indian politician and his son introduced him to the suspect during a Dubai visit. The baby, Syed Umar, who suffered a severe brain injury in the accident is currently on a ventilator. Syed's parents were killed in a car accident in Al Dhannah City on Thursday morning. The Indian couple were on their way from Abu Dhabi when the incident occurred at 3am. 'Right now, he is breathing because of the ventilator,' said Syed Mateen, the uncle of the child. 'Doctors have told us that if he is taken off the ventilator, his heart will most likely cease to beat, and he will not be able to breathe on his own. Waheed's company has also extended a lot of support to us during this trying time.' He said that he and his family have had no time to grieve. 'All our energy is focused on caring for the girls,' he said. 'The little one is not even 2 years old. We are trying to make sure that they recover well.'
