General People's Congress condemns Israeli attack on Hazeez Power Station
Sana'a - Saba: The General People's Congress strongly condemned what it described as a cowardly Israeli attack on the Yemeni capital, Sana'a. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the party denounced the targeting of the Hazeez Power Station, which resulted in the facility going out of service and deprived residents of the capital and nearby areas of essential electricity needed for hospitals, water pumps, and other vital public services. The statement affirmed that such aggressions will not deter the Yemeni people from their steadfast support and solidarity with the Palestinian people, particularly in Gaza, nor from rejecting what it called Israel's genocidal war crimes, systematic starvation policies, and attempts to forcibly displace Gaza's residents in pursuit of eliminating the Palestinian cause — a goal the people of Gaza and the resilient Palestinian nation will ultimately thwart. The General People's Congress also renewed its criticism of global silence toward Israeli crimes, whether against the people of Gaza or through attacks on Yemen's infrastructure and public facilities, describing such acts as flagrant violations of international law and humanitarian norms. The party's statement further called on the United Nations and international organizations to assume their responsibilities and exert pressure on Israel to halt its crimes against Gaza's population , its targeting of Yemen's infrastructure and public utilities, stressing that this falls squarely within their legal obligations.

Following the events, students from several schools staged solidarity rallies in support of Gaza, condemning the genocide and systematic starvation committed by the U.S.-backed Zionist enemy against the people of Gaza. Participants chanted slogans rejecting the blockade and forced displacement, affirming that the educational front will continue to stand firmly in support of the Palestinian people and resistance fighters until victory is achieved.
