Basu Hanumanthu Naidu Participates in Consecration Ceremony of Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple Structures at Ellandoddi
Gadwal: BRS Party In-Charge for the Gadwal Constituency, Sri Basu Hanumanthu Naidu, participated in the grand consecration ceremony (Pratishtha Mahotsavam) of the newly constructed Gopuram, Dhwaja Sthambham (flagpole), and Bodrai (temple compound structure) of Sri Sri Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Ellandoddi village of Gattu Mandal.
On this sacred occasion, Sri Hanumanthu Naidu performed special pujas, received Teertha Prasadam, and sought the divine blessings of Lord Anjaneya. Following the rituals, he was felicitated with a traditional shawl by BRS party leader Ellandoddi Raju Naidu in a gesture of honor and respect.
Speaking at the event, Basu Hanumanthu Naidu extended his heartfelt Hanuman Jayanti wishes to the people of Ellandoddi village and the wider Gadwal constituency.
He prayed for the well-being and prosperity of all farmers and citizens in the region, expressing hope that, with the blessings of Lord Anjaneya, everyone would live a long life filled with health, happiness, and abundance. He also wished for continued growth and success of local businesses and institutions.
The event was marked by devotional fervor and strong community participation. Notable attendees included Noor Pasha, S. Ramu Naidu, Kolai Bhaskar, Basu Gopal, Avula Anjaneyulu, Bajari, Kangaru Thimmappa, Amresh, Savari, Nallagattu Ramudu, along with other villagers and devotees from the area.

Sharmistha Panoli walked out of a Kolkata prison last Friday, a day after the Calcutta High Court granted her interim bail in a case of communal posts. With this, the BJP in Bengal, which took up the case to target the Mamata Banerjee government over alleged police high-handedness and Muslim 'appeasement', claimed victory and Leader of Opposition in the state, Suvendu Adhikari, said justice had been served. Adhikari alleged the police never acted against Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders, from Mamata Banerjee to Mahua Moitra and Firhad Hakim, who had made 'objectionable remarks' about Hindu deities and festivals, whereas Panoli's comment, which she 'later deleted and apologised for', attracted police action. Paul alleged that the police were shielding Khan because of 'Muslim appeasement'. A fringe Hindu outfit calling itself the Shree Ram Swabhiman Parishad wrote a letter to the Jail Superintendent of Alipore Women's Correctional Home, alleging a threat to the 22-year-old's life and demanding better security arrangements for her. The BJP's pushback was in line with its strategy of painting the TMC as anti-Hindu and claiming that its Muslim appeasement politics is marginalising the majority community in the state. The TMC's dominance in West Bengal has been fuelled by a combination of factors, including the consolidation of minority votes, the votes of women due to its social welfare initiatives, and the success in painting the BJP as a party of outsiders. It has also been helped by the fact that there has not been a counter-consolidation of Hindu votes behind the BJP and this is something that the Opposition party appears to be trying to change ahead of the all-important Assembly elections next year. The TMC has responded to the BJP, alleging that Panoli had knowingly put up the posts for social media clout and to gain rightwing attention. "World's biggest engineering blunder": BJP MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy slams Kaleshwaram project
Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 8 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament Konda Vishweshwar Reddy described the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project in Telangana as the 'world's biggest engineering blunder' and termed it a 'huge scam' that has severely impacted the state's economy. Speaking to ANI on Saturday, BJP MP Reddy said, 'Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project in Telangana is the world's biggest engineering blunder and it's a huge scam which ruined Telangana economically. It is one of the prime reasons that the richest state of Telangana is in such a horrible economic condition. We have a loan of Rs 8 lakh crores.' 'The present Congress government does not have money to pay salaries and run the government,' he added, blaming the ruling party for the deepening financial crisis. Earlier, Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy had held the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government responsible for the project's failure, calling it the 'biggest man-made disaster' since Independence and the 'most expensive engineering failure' caused by any state government in India. He said that Telangana is currently paying Rs16,000 crore annually in interest and instalments on high-cost loans borrowed during the BRS regime for this 'faulty' project, thereby placing an enormous burden on the state's finances and its farmers. Meanwhile, the Justice PC Ghose Commission on Tuesday issued summons to former Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), former Minister Harish Rao, and BJP MP Etela Rajender, who also served as a minister during the BRS regime, in the ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP). The Commission, which has been probing financial and procedural lapses in the multi-crore irrigation project, directed the three political leaders to appear for questioning in the first week of June. Telangana suffered due to BRS greed for commissions: Uttam
HYDERABAD: Telangana has suffered a permanent loss in the irrigation sector due to the 'wrong decisions' taken by the previous BRS government and its 'greed for commissions', alleged Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy. In a press statement issued on Saturday, Uttam countered the claims made by BRS MLA and former irrigation minister T Harish Rao while making a PowerPoint presentation on Kaleshwaram earlier in the day. Uttam said that only 162 tmcft water was lifted from Godavari from Kaleshwaram in five years. The BRS termed Medigadda as the 'heart' of Kaleshwaram and though its construction was completed in 2019, officials lifted only 61 tmcft in 2019–20, 31.82 tmcft in 2020–21, 33 tmcft in 2021–22, 25.97 tmcft in 2022–23 and 8.93 tmcft in 2023–24, a total of 162 tmcft, he said. During the flood season in these five years, around 63 tmcft water went waste into the sea. How was the BRS government able to provide irrigation to 22 lakh acres with just 99 tmcft, he wondered. 'In July, 2022 the Annaram pump house was submerged in water. In the same year, all the motors of the Kannepalli (Medigadda) pump house were damaged. In that year, officials could lift only 25 tmcft,' Uttam said and recalled that the piers of Medigadda sank on October 21, 2023. While Farakka barrage was constructed with a rock foundation to divert Ganga waters, three barrages in Kaleshwaram were constructed to divert funds, he alleged. The minister recalled that a huge rally with elephants was taken out during the BRS regime after the KCR government signed an agreement with Maharashtra to construct a barrage at Tummidihetti. However, it was later shifted to Medigadda as they thought they could not get money if Tummidihetti barrage was constructed, he added. Uttam also informed Harish that Sriramsagar, Yellampali, Lower Manair, Upper Manair and Singur projects were constructed by previous Congress governments. 'The Congress government spent Rs 6,156 crore on Pranahitha-Chevella project before the formation of the state. Till 2016, the total amount spent on Pranahitha-Chevella was Rs 11,679 crore,' he said.
