League of Ireland: Shels trail against Waterford – follow all the action as it happens
It's another action-packed evening in the League of Ireland with all ten Premier Division teams involved.
You can follow all the action as it unfolds in our liveblog below.
Key updates
The Tribesmen in the ascendancy before the break! Galway United 1 - Bohemians 0 I mean was it really going to be anyone else?! Bohs will have nightmares about Moses Dyer once again it appears as the New Zealander rounds off a period of sustained pressure with a goal in the 44th-minute. Rob Slevin collected a throw-in, took a touch to get it out of his feet and whip a ball into the box where Dyer prodded it past Chorazka from about 6 yards. John Caulfield's men had been knocking on the door prior to that as Cillian Tollett went close with a header from a delightful Dave Hurley cross.
Drogheda claw themselves level! Drogheda United 1 - Cork City 1 Exactly five minutes out from the break and Kevin Doherty's injury-hit Drogs are back on equal footing with Cork City. It's all a bit lucky from a Drogheda perspective but fans in Sullivan & Lambe Park don't care one jot about how it goes in once it's a goal. Shane Farrell attempts to curl his free-kick around the wall. Instead it deflects off a Cork body and completely wrong-foots Tein Troost before nesting in the net.
The Rebels lead at Sullivan & Lambe Park! Drogheda United 0 - Cork City 1 Yet another early goal to start Matchday 14 and it's come from Cork's Djenairo Daniels with a sweet strike on 7 minutes that found it's way to the net via the underside of the crossbar. Kitt Nelson led the charge down the left flank and although Drogheda half-defended his low cross, it fell nicely for Daniels to thump home from close range in the end.
A fast start for the Blues! Shelbourne 0 - Waterford 1 Less than three minutes gone and Waterford have the lead away to the champions, a free kick by Conan Noonan, a header from Padraig Amond and keeper Conor Kearns was very sluggish with his save. - Aidan Fitzmaurice with the latest from Tolka Park.

Back for the second-half in all three fixtures and Aidan Fitzmaurice has another Shels substitution to report:
And we have a third change from the champions, James Norris replaced at the break by Tyreke Wilson, a big 45 minutes ahead for Shels.
Aidan Fitzmaurice shares his thoughts on an interesting first-half of action in Drumcondra:
Half-time in Tolka Park and Damien Duff sprints to the dressing room, presumably to get a start on his team talk as the Reds are still 1-0 behind to Waterford.
Shels had enough chances with their dominance in the last 20 minutes of the half, sub John Martin denied a goal by a superb save from Stephen McMullan, there's a feeling that a goal will come for the champions but they are not enjoying their Bank Holiday so far.
Can Waterford make it two wins from two Dublin trips in four days?
Half-time across all three early kick-off's so we will be back for the second-half very shortly:
All square between Drogheda and Cork, while Galway and Waterford enjoy taking a slender lead into the dressing rooms at the break.

Duffer isn't happy as Aidan Fitzmaurice gets the birds-eye view from Tolka Park:
Damien Duff using a break in play here, for treatment on Waterford keeper Stephen McMullan, to give a very fiery team talk to his players who are 1-0 down.
No waiting around from Damien Duff this afternoon as Aidan Fitzmaurice notes:
Big call here in Tolka Park from the Shelbourne staff as Damien Duff makes two changes on 33 minutes, Ellis Chapman and JJ Lunney taken off - not for injury reasons - with Ali Coote and John Martin brought on.
Shels are having a good spell of possession now but have not caused Stephen McMullan too much bother, Mipo Odubeko should have at least hit the target earlier.
It's currently still Galway United 0 - Bohemians 0 as we approach the half-hour mark:
Nothing to separate the teams in Eamonn Deacy Park thus far, but the Tribesmen have looked the likelier side to score.
The best chance of the match fell to John Caulfield's team in the 25th-minute as Dave Hurley watched his effort get tipped onto the crossbar and behind for a corner by Kacper Chorazka.
Aidan Fitzmaurice with the latest from Tolka Park:
It's taken until the 19th minute but there is finally a response from Shelbourne to the fact they are a goal down, Ellis Chapman took up a good position and struck a fierce shot which was only kept out by a fingertip save from Waterford keeper Stephen McMullan, so Shels are still 1-0 down and the Blues are more than comfortable.

An injury-hit Drogheda host Cork City this afternoon:
At Sullivan & Lambe Park today it's a meeting of two sides who have played out a few draws of late, Drogheda United at home to Cork City.
There's a significant piece of team news from the home side as goalkeeper Luke Dennison and March player of the month Darragh Markey are not in the Drogheda squad which comes as a considerable blow.
That's three of six changes to the XI from Kevin Doherty's side in Dennison, Markey and Paul Doyle that are injury-related, but the other trio of alterations seem to be tactical.
Cork hand a first start of the season to Harry Nevin, after he made his comeback from injury as a sub in Friday's draw at home to Shamrock Rovers.
The latest from a sunny Eamonn Deacy Park:
Bohemians are in Galway and aiming to keep up their form at Eamon Deacy Park but with just one clean sheet in the last eight games, their defending is a concern.
Alan Reynolds has moved things around for his team, three changes to the side that lost at home to Waterford, so no place for Rob Cornwall, Colm Whelan or Keith Buckley.
Galway have also freshened up their side, a first start of the season for a fit-again Conor McCormack after two sub appearances while Colm Horgan also comes into the XI, no Cian Byrne for United as he is ineligible under the terms of his loan from Bohs.
Aidan Fitzmaurice is in Drumcondra this evening as Shels take on Waterford:
Hello from a sunny Tolka Park where it's the away side, Waterford, who are the form team, off the back of Friday's 2-1 win away to another Dublin side (Bohemians) and the home club who are struggling for form, Shelbourne with a run of one win in six games.
Newly-appointed Waterford boss John Coleman is in the ground but caretaker Matt Lawlor is in charge for the last time. He's clearly happy with his boys as the Blues are unchanged from the side that beat Bohs.
Shels make two changes. Mark Coyle is free from suspension and reclaims his place in the team, Harry Wood also in as Sam Bone and Ali Coote drop to the bench
Today 11:35 AM

What time and TV channel is Derry v Drogheda on in the FAI Cup tonight
Tiernan Lynch says his players can use November's Sports Direct FAI Cup final loss to Drogheda when the sides meet in the third round and with a place in the quarter-finals at stake. Lynch wasn't in charge for the Aviva Stadium decider, which was Ruaidhri Higgins' last game in charge, but most of his playing squad experienced the pain of a 2-0 defeat to the Boynesiders. "Everybody knows and are well aware of losing the final last year," said Lynch. "I'm sure there were a lot of hugely disappointed heads, no more than the players and the staff because of the effort and the commitment and the work that they put in to get there. You can use that as motivation to put that right.' But Derry have only taken two points from their last four League games as their title hopes hit a probable fatal roadblock and the Candystripes are facing an in-form Drogheda side that has only lost one League game in six, although that did come against Derry in June. Where is the game taking place? The game takes place at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium in Derry. What time is kick-off? The game kicks off on Saturday at 8pm. Where can I watch it? The match will be shown live on RTÉ2. Coverage starts at 7.30pm. Betting odds Derry City are 1/2 to win, Drogheda are 11/2 to win, the draw is 13/5 Difficult Elicha Ahui, Steve Zishim Bawa and Scott Brady are ruled out through injury for the Boynesiders, but Doherty has Paul Doyle available again, while Derry have a full squad available bar long-term absentee Cameron Dummigan. "We're under no illusions about how difficult the game is going to be," said Lynch. "Drogheda is a really difficult team to break down, I don't think they've conceded a goal now for four or five games. ''They're just one of those teams who are very good at what they do, and great credit to them for it. We know we have to be at our very best."

Marcella Heffernan: 'I'd like to think there will be good days again ahead for Mayo'
Given it was a familiar stomping ground during her inter-county playing career, Mayo's Marcella Heffernan was only too delighted to be back in Croke Park for a special celebration a couple of weeks ago. First introduced to the set-up as a 15-year-old in 1993, Heffernan was a key figure on the Mayo side that secured a maiden TG4 All-Ireland senior football championship title at the expense of Waterford in 1999 before defending their title against the same opposition 12 months later. Along with members of the Deise County who featured in those back-to-back showpiece meetings, Heffernan and the Mayo squad from those seasons were honoured as the Jubilee team by the LGFA on All-Ireland finals day at GAA HQ on August 3. Before being presented to the crowd at half-time in the TG4 All-Ireland intermediate decider between Tyrone and Laois, Heffernan and her former Mayo colleagues enjoyed a sit down meal to commemorate their on-field achievements over that memorable two-year stretch. 'It was a lovely, lovely reunion and, from start to finish, you felt like royalty really. It was lovely, it really was. I never thought I'd say it, but I was in a room with a load of legends because that's what they all were. Both Mayo and Waterford. It was just a great day,' Heffernan said. 'Since we found out that we were going to be doing this, the WhatsApp was hopping. There was just different pictures being shared and the craic was lovely. "Yvonne Byrne, who we called 'Crazy' at the time, did a Spotify list of all the songs that we used to play when we were travelling on the buses and heading into Croke Park. It was lovely.' While Mayo went on to firmly establish themselves as one of the dominant forces of ladies football in the early part of the 21st century, they were very much considered underdogs heading into their All-Ireland final showdown with Waterford at Croke Park on October 3, 1999. The previous year had seen their Munster counterparts collecting the Brendan Martin Cup for the fifth time in just eight seasons and Mayo had suffered a set-back a week before the final when their teenage sensation Cora Staunton broke her collarbone in training. The management team of Finbar Egan, John Mullin and his son Jonathan opted to start the Carnacon ace for the game, in advance of substituting her in the opening minute of the action. Marcella Heffernan on the pitch as the Mayo 1999 and 2000 All-Ireland Ladies Senior Football Championship winning squads are honoured on LGFA Finals day. Pic: Seb Daly/Sportsfile Yet in spite of Staunton's absence, Mayo upset the odds to claim a breakthrough All-Ireland success with Heffernan's older sister Christina helping herself to four points in a 0-12 to 0-8 triumph. 'Nobody gave us hope at all, which we didn't mind. We liked the tag. We were quietly confident. We were knocking on the door for a while and we knew we could do it. We really trained hard that year as well and we were playing well in the games. 'I don't know what it was, but we didn't fear Waterford and maybe that was it. We had nothing to lose and especially after Cora getting injured as well, we were just saying 'come on, let's just throw the kitchen sink at them'.' Despite missing out on a third successive All-Ireland SFC title by the slenderest of margins (2-14 to 1-16) to Laois in 2001, Mayo returned to the top table a year later with a one-point success of their own against Monaghan. The Connacht side were becoming regular fixtures on All-Ireland finals day and they returned to Croke Park once again on October 5, 2003 for a fifth senior decider on the bounce. Current All-Ireland champions Dublin were searching for a breakthrough victory on that day, but a late goal from Diane O'Hora squeezed Mayo over the line in a low-scoring affair (1-4 to 0-5). This game was highly emotional for Heffernan and her team-mates following the tragic death of Aisling McGing in a car accident less than three months earlier. A panellist for their All-Ireland success in the previous year, Aisling's sisters Michelle and Sharon were starters when Mayo defeated Dublin in the 2003 final, while her cousin Caroline was also part of the squad. 'The McGings, they were such a big part of the Mayo set-up down through the years. When their sister Aisling passed away, it was heartbreaking. I think the football was the saving grace to them. We minded them. I'd say it was a good distraction for the girls as well and Aisling wouldn't want it any other way,' Heffernan acknowledged. 'I know Diane got the goal, but I do believe somebody was looking down on us that day and I can honestly say it was Aisling. Because the game nearly went from us and thankfully when Cora was kicking the ball in it dropped short and it fell into the right hands of Diane O'Hora. It was nothing more than the McGings deserved, to get that All-Ireland medal.' Despite collecting their fourth title in the space of five years, that 2003 victory is Mayo's most recent TG4 All-Ireland senior football championship success to date. The inter-county scene was becoming far more competitive and even though Heffernan returned to an All-Ireland final with Mayo in 2007, a Cork side that had already won two top-tier crowns in succession got the better of them. Heffernan brought her county career to a close in 2008 and it was another nine years before the green and red qualified for another Brendan Martin Cup decider. Dublin had the measure of them on that occasion and while they have reached four All-Ireland SFC semi-finals since then, this year saw Mayo having to come through a relegation play-off encounter with Leitrim in order to retain their senior championship status. However, they would have had another opportunity to survive if they lost that game and in spite of their recent difficulties, Heffernan remains optimistic that a bright future could lie ahead for Mayo. 'I do think they will come back to the surface again. There's a new generation of players coming up. If they stick together and work on it, it's surprising how well they will do. I'd like to think there will be good days again ahead for Mayo,' Heffernan added.

Kaedyn Kamara's late strike against Waterford sends Cork City into FAI Cup quarter-finals
The 19-year-old Preston North End loanee headed in the 80th-minute winner, although this victory owed just as much to Matthew Murray's sensational full debut. The 17-year-old winger scored against Celtic in their July friendly at Páirc Uí Chaoimh. He waited just one minute and 47 seconds to find the net in front of 2,112 fans at Turner's Cross. Murray's mazy footwork caused all sorts of trouble for the visitors throughout. With his final act, he won the free-kick for Kamara's goal. Evan McLaughlin assisted both. Murray's dream start began by securing possession in his own half before City worked the ball down the left flank. McLaughlin's inviting cross beat the three Waterford centre-backs, who flocked to Seani Maguire, and Murray dashed in at the back post to poke home. The youngster exhibited his sky-high confidence soon after with a couple of stepovers before delivering a cross. Waterford almost grabbed an instant equaliser as Ronan Mansfield flashed wide from a free-kick. Ryan Burke came closer again with a ferociously dipping volley. Conor Brann reacted quickly to tip over. In the 22nd minute, they got level. Freddie Anderson blocked James Olayinka's attempt, but Kyle White put the ball back into the mixer. Again, the visitors won the first header. While Pádraig Amond's effort was stopped by Rory Feely, it fell for Tommy Lonergan to tap into an empty net. The Munster Derby is fast becoming the 21-year-old's favourite fixture, netting in each of their last three clashes. He celebrated by shushing the Shed End. They almost snatched the lead early in the second half. Conan Noonan's defence-splitting pass was collected by White. He got his finish past Brann, only for Anderson to divert it away with a goal-saving block. But it was Kamara who glanced home his first senior goal for the winner into the Shed from McLaughlin's delivery, and the super sub came up with the final block to seal the victory. CORK CITY: Brann; Nevin (Kamara 59), Anderson, Feely, Kiernan; Crowley, McLaughlin (S Murray 82); M Murray (Lutz 79), Nelson, Fitzpatrick; Maguire. WATERFORD: McMullan; McDonald, Mansfield (Faal 82), Burke; Horton (Miles 73), Rossiter (Glenfield 85), Olayinka (McMenamy 85), White; Noonan (Coyle 73); Amond, Lonergan.
