Gtech cordless vacuum that leaves floors 'pristine' has £100 off
Shoppers say the Gtech AirRAM Platinum cleans areas their Shark and Dyson 'couldn't manage'
Shoppers can save £100 on a Gtech cordless vacuum that's said to 'easily' beat rival models. The Gtech AirRAM Platinum Anti Hair Wrap Cordless Vacuum is now available for £269.99 when using the discount code JT83 and comes with a Speed Clean Kit bundle at no extra cost.
This saves £100 from the usual £369.99 price tag, with the discount and Speed Clean Kit automatically added to the basket when applying the code. Gtech is also offering £120 off its 'powerful' Multi Platinum Cordless Handheld Vacuum as it drops from £269.99 to £149.99.
Gtech touts the AirRAM Platinum as 'taking the work out of housework' as it offers easy manoeuvrability thanks to its dynamic steering and Forward Inertia Drive technology. The latter propels the vacuum forward so it glides effortlessly across both carpet and hard floors.
To rival Shark and Dyson, Gtech has added its own version of anti-hair wrap technology, which prevents hair from being tangled in the brush head, so it's ideal for pet owners. The vacuum cleaner also features a single suction setting to deliver maximum power so there's no need to mess around with different settings mid-clean.
This combines with Gtech's AirLOC technology to remove tough embedded hair and fine dust that 'no other vacuum can'. Other standout features include LED headlights in the brushhead to illuminate hard-to-see dust and a long-lasting battery that can run for one hour without loss of suction.
While the vacuum's 0.8L dustbin may be smaller than some rival models, captured dirt is compressed during cleaning, so it needs emptying less often. With the included Speed Cleaning Kit and detachable duster, the AirRAM Platinum can be converted into a handheld vacuum for easier cleaning of stairs, upholstery and tight spaces around the house.
Elsewhere, Samsung is selling the Samsung Jet 85 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with a pet tool for £479, which comes with some accessories. Samsung's offering has a review rating of 4.5 out of five.
Alternatively, Miele's Duoflex HX1 Cat and Dog is £329 directly from the brand, with a current saving of £120. This boasts a rating of 4.2 stars. However, the Gtech AirRAM Platinum has achieved a near-perfect 4.8-star rating from more than 3,500 reviews
One happy customer said: 'Exceeds expectations in all areas, easily bettering our Shark vacuum. The [AirLOC] feature leaves the carpets pristine and the design of the product means even edges get cleaned, which our previous Shark and Dyson couldn't manage. Overall, the Gtech is fantastic.'
Another said: 'Best cordless vacuum by far. Power is excellent at one-hour battery time [while] suction and pickup are amazing. I'm in a two bedroom flat and have vacuumed almost daily for the last two weeks and the battery hasn't gone down. I find it a lot quieter than my three-year-old Gtech and it feels lighter to use. Storage is simple – it sits in a corner of my bedroom, ready for use. I love it.'
Despite hailing the AirRAM Platinum as a 'good vacuum', this four-star review said: 'Bit unpleasant to see the dust accumulating in the machine unlike our old AirRAM.' However, a third thrilled buyer said: 'Fantastic.
"Nice and compact for storage. Great suction with the [AirLOC] system, has fantastic power and gives an extremely thorough clean. Great for picking up small bits of fluff and long hair embedded in carpet. Holds charge well. Extremely pleased, would always choose Gtech.'

Best Samsung washing machines: AI tech innovations for your home
Available in dazzling 'Dark Steel' and nothing else, the Bespoke AI Series 9 is a statement piece for the kitchen or fancy pants laundry room should you be so loaded, being both bold in colourway and beautifully minimalist of design, with its moody silver body, Black Deco and glass door, and slick 7-inch LCD touchscreen interface. Even the line of the detergent drawer is unspoilt by anything as tawdry as a handle. Is it weird to attribute such aspects of beauty to an appliance? Absolutely. Do I regret a word of it? Absolutely not. But, moving past the aesthetic, the sultry Series 9 comes rated class 'A-55 per cent' for incredible energy efficiency, features a nicely capacious 9kg drum to cope with the detergent-requiring demands of medium to larger households, and comes imbued with Samsung's AI Home, that aforementioned LCD touchscreen panel that not only allows for quick, intuitive control, but also lets you personalise your wash more by suggesting cycles and remembering your favoured settings, like a golf caddy, but for laundry. Amongst the simply epic 28-strong programme settings sits AI Wash, sensing the weight of the load and the level of soiling, then automatically adjusting temperature, detergent amount, and soaking, rinsing and spinning times to suit. AI Ecobubble is, of course, also available, as is AI Energy Mode with the Wi-Fi linked SmartThings app, then there's all the usual cycle suspects, covering all manner of materials, throwing in Eco cycles, Cold settings, and the complete breadth of programmes found in the Series 5, 6 and 8 models I've already explored, plus two Super Speed functions for the furiously time-poor. Naturally, Auto Dose is present to save you the hassle of having to workout how much detergent and softener you need each wash, as is Drum Clean and a StayClean Drawer to keep the whole shebang sparkling and bacteria-free, and – going above and beyond on tech convenience – if your day has been so soul-sucking that you can't even raise the energy to poke gently at the display, you can just tell it what to do. Yes, it is a Samsung, after all, so it's only right that the Bespoke AI Series 9 WF90F09C4SU1 should come with Bixby 'On Device'. So, simply tell it what you want it to do and Bixby will take your word as its command.

Everyone with an Android phone put on red alert - check for update 'immediatley'
Android phone owners must make sure their devices are fully up to date. If your chosen phone is powered by Android then you'd be wise to head to your settings and check for the latest update without delay. It's been confirmed that a new patch has been released and, although it's as not critical as last months upgrade, users are being urged to install it without delay. 'Although the latest Android security bulletin does not list any vulnerabilities currently known to be under exploitation, we still strongly recommend that Android users update their devices immediately,' said Adam Boynton, Senior Security Strategy Manager EMEIA at security firm Jamf. 'The majority of the fixes are within the Android framework, which provides the foundation for building Android applications and is therefore an attractive target for cybercriminals. Exploiting the most severe vulnerability could allow an attacker to gain elevated access and administrative rights.' The most urgent upgrades from Google are ones that have been given the dreaded "zero day" rating. These flaws mean cyber crooks are aware of the glitch and are actively exploring it. Luckily that's not the case this month but Android users should still be on high alert and make sure their phones are fully updated. That's because anyone running older Android software versions is technically open to attack. There are four vulnerabilities located within the Android system component, caused by improper input validation,' Jamf's Boynton said. 'CVE-2025-26453, CVE-2025-26445, and CVE-2025-26441 could allow a local application to gain access to sensitive information, while exploitation of CVE-2025-26443 could allow a local application to execute arbitrary code. 'The release provides a window of opportunity to get ahead of cybercriminals; it appears that none of the vulnerabilities addressed in the June security bulletin have yet to be exploited in the wild, making this the perfect time to patch all supported devices.' Pixel phones will almost certainly get this latest patch first with the manufactures such as Samsung, OnePlus, Sony, Xiaomi, Honor then following after. Android firms are getting better at supporting phones for longer, too. Samsung, Google and Honor all offer seven years of updates for many of their latest phones, though other companies are lagging behind. If you have quite an old Android phone, it may have stopped receiving free security updates - a reason for you to consider upgrading to a newer supported handset.

Primark's 'stylish' £5 bag could be mistaken for £90 Ted Baker version
The Primark handbag looks similar to one by a designer brand, but there's a significant price difference Primark is selling a "stylish" £5 bag that could easily be mistaken for a more expensive version by a designer label. Popular with shoppers looking for budget-friendly fashion, the high street retailer could have another hit with its latest handbag. Its Textured Zip Top Crossbody Bag resembles Ted Baker's Stina Double Zip Croc Effect Mini Camera Bag, yet has a much smaller price tag. The Ted Baker bag is currently fetching £89 online, offering Primark shoppers a hefty saving on a similar style. Both black bags share key features such as a croc-effect finish, a cross-body strap, a zip fastening across the top of the bag, and gold hardware. The style is so similar that shoppers could pair the black Primark bag with any outfit they'd plan to wear with the Ted Baker bag. While both bags are small and sleek, they differ somewhat in shape. Both bags have a rectangular shape with rounded edges, but the Ted Baker style is more angular, with a flat front panel. It also has two zipped compartments, and it features the luxury brand's logo. According to the product descriptions, neither bag is real leather. Primark's bag is made from 100% PVC-coated textile, and Ted Baker's alternative is 100% polyurethane. Primark describes its style as a "textured crossbody bag with zip closure and a compact shape for easy everyday wear." The full description reads: "Add a sleek finish to your look with this textured zip top crossbody bag. Its stylish, raised texture gives it a modern, elevated feel. "The secure zip top closure keeps your essentials safe, while the crossbody strap makes it easy to go hands-free. Compact but roomy enough for your phone, keys and everyday bits, it's a great pick for day-to-night plans. Whether you're heading out for errands or dressing up for the evening, this bag adds an effortless style boost!" Meanwhile, John Lewis' description reads: "From Ted Baker, this cross-body bag features an adjustable strap. Complete with two zipped compartments." It adds that the bag has one internal slip pocket. Unlike Primark, the retailer's website allows shoppers to leave reviews. The bag has an average rating of 4.6 out of five. One happy reviewer said: "Beautiful Bag. Good size to put phone keys make up and small purse in. Its like the Tardis. Small on the outside, big inside. Comfortable straps. Easy, smart and great price." A second thought: "This really is a perfect 'little black bag'. Just large enough for the bare essentials - keys, phone and a comb - the two sections ensure things are easily accessible. The bag is very well finished off, with gold trim on the inside. As well as being stylish, it seems robust, with quality zips and a good length strap." But another wrote: "Although outer dimensions are available and I thought would be suitable for my needs the inside is very small. "I'm not able to fit my Samsung in there (unless I remove the case) and could just about but a few cards, keys and maybe a small hand sanitizer. Strap seems much cheaper than other Ted Baker bags I've owned. Lovely looking but impractical."
