Swiss speed camera captures duck flying at 52 km/hr
Police in the town of Koniz, near the capital Bern, were astounded when they went through radar images snapped on April 13 to discover that a mallard was among those caught in the speed trap, the municipality said on its Facebook page at the weekend.
The duck was caught going 52 kilometres (32 miles) an hour in a 30-km zone, the post said.
The story, first reported by the Berner Zeitung newspaper on Monday, got even stranger.
It turned out that a similar-looking duck was captured flying in the same spot at exactly the same speed, on exactly the same date seven years earlier, the Facebook post said.
The municipality said it had considered whether the whole thing might not be a belated April Fool's joke or a "fake" picture.
But the police inspectorate said it was impossible to doctor images or manipulate the radar system.
The computers are calibrated and tested each year by Switzerland's Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), and the photos taken are sealed, the municipality explained.

Former President Rodrigo Duterte does not want his former spokesperson Harry Roque involved in his case before the International Criminal Court (ICC), according to Duterte's legal counsel, international lawyer Nicholas Kaufman. In a report aired on 24 Oras, Kaufman said Duterte believes Roque's involvement could compromise the case, citing that the former presidential spokesperson is considered a 'fugitive from justice' in the Philippines. In a Facebook post, Roque maintained that he continues to support Duterte's legal defense and has not made any statements or taken actions that would affect the case. 'As a loyal foot soldier of the Dutertes, I have no wish but to bring the former President back to the Philippines alive. And like many Duterte diehard supporters, I feel a sense of frustration on the pre-trial detention of our beloved President. I thus offered an additional legal remedy, outside of the ICC, subject to the approval of the former President and his family,' he added. Roque also dismissed the accusation as unfair, saying: 'I cannot be blamed for devising remedies to bring former President Duterte home alive. No such idea can be characterized as a crazy scheme.'

Filipino family alleges racial discrimination at Sagrada Família in Barcelona
A Filipino family visiting the Basilica de la Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain, was allegedly subjected to racial discrimination by a security guard. In a Facebook post, Mekeni Food Corporation president Prudencio Garcia said his wife and 16-year-old daughter were stopped by a female security guard while entering the basilica on July 24. He recounted that the guard asked them about their nationality and upon learning they were Filipinos, allegedly said, 'Open your bags. I don't trust Filipinos.' Garcia said he was unaware of the incident at the time and only learned about it during dinner, when his daughter shared what had happened. He said they were part of a group of 23 tourists visiting the historic site. While he was in a different line, his wife and daughter were subjected to the security check after their bags had passed through the x-ray machine. Garcia expressed disappointment over the incident, saying he was hurt both as a father and as a Filipino. He emphasized that while he respects security protocols, singling out individuals based on their nationality is a form of prejudice.

Jordanian security forces arrested Yanal Freihat a prominent member of the Islamic Action Front (IAF) party on Sunday.
