Bills give MVP Josh Allen new 6-year deal with record guarantee
The Bills announced Sunday that a new contract agreement will keep Allen tied to Buffalo through the 2030 season.
It replaces Allen's previous deal that had four years remaining, and ESPN and NFL Network reported it to be $330 million ($55 million per year).
The deal includes $250 million guaranteed, those reports said -- the most guaranteed money in a contract in league history.
Allen, 28, took home MVP honors after completing 63.6 percent of his passes for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns and a career-low six interceptions in 2024 while adding 531 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. His MVP win was considered an upset over favorite Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
Allen, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, guided the Bills to the AFC Championship Game for the second time (also 2020). Second-seeded Buffalo lost 32-29 at the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs.

Australia lifted the Asia Cup for the third time in a row after a magnificent, nerve-shredding and ultimately euphoric 90-89 victory over China at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah. There could not have been a tighter finish, with China missing a go-ahead shot as time expired. William Hickey delivered when it mattered most, finishing with 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks, including clutch plays down the stretch. The Cincinnati Bengals are open to trading four-time Pro Bowl defensive end Trey Hendrickson, according to a report. Hendrickson and the Bengals have been locked in talks over a long-term extension for months, with neither side seemingly willing to give an inch in the negotiations. Now, the Bengal are ready to call an end to the contract impasse and are now willing to listen to offers for Hendrickson. However, according to NFL Network Insiders, any deal for the pass rusher will be expensive, likely requiring a young player and a future draft pick. The saga has rumbled on throughout the offseason and initially saw Hendrickson skip the early days of their training camp as he held out for a new contract. However, at the end of last month, he returned as a 'good-faith gesture' to reignite dormant negotiations.
