Trump's reason behind renaming Artificial Intelligence
In his address during the summit, Trump outlined his AI Action Plan aimed at rapidly boosting domestic AI development as part of a broader strategy to secure America's leadership in the tech race. He told the crowd, 'Everyone is talking about artificial intelligence. I don't even like the name."
The president continued, "You know, I don't like anything that is artificial, so can we straighten that out, please?' as reported by the Irish Star. He added, 'We should change the name. I actually mean that. I don't like the name artificial anything because it's not artificial. It's genius. It's pure genius.'
The news comes shortly after Trump faced backlash on social media for using AI without disclosure last week.

Trump expected to sign three executive orders related to AI
Trump's controversial AI strategy includes slashing key environmental regulations to speed up the construction of AI supercomputers and data mining centers. These facilities have often been criticized for their heavy environmental toll. The plan also aims to increase the US export of AI technologies.
In addition, Trump has aligned the agenda with demands from prominent tech donors who claim AI platforms like ChatGPT and Google's Gemini exhibit liberal bias, using the initiative to further his broader anti-DEI and anti-woke policy push. He added that he will dismiss AI policies from the Biden era that evaluate risky AI technologies based on 'misinformation, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and climate change.'
The president is expected to sign three AI-related executive orders, which come after he asked his tech advisors in January to formulate a plan to advance AI policies in six months.

The retaliatory action resulted in a four-day conflict between the two nations. Parliament is also set to take up a special discussion on Operation Sindoor beginning Monday, after a week-long delay in proceedings. The debate, expected to last three days and span 16 hours, will likely see participation from Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. ‘Reminds me of Pakistan and India': Trump says both Thailand and Cambodia want ceasefire as border war enters third day
US President Donald Trump on Saturday called for a ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia as the deadly clashes entered the third day. Trump also likened it to the military conflict between India and Pakistan. 'Many people are being killed in this war, but it very much reminds me of the conflict between Pakistan and India, which was brought to a successful halt,' he said. Trump revealed that he had personally spoken to the leaders of both Cambodia and Thailand, urging them to agree to an immediate ceasefire. 'Just spoke to the Prime Minister of Cambodia relative to stopping the war with Thailand. I am calling the Acting Prime Minister of Thailand, right now, to likewise request a ceasefire, and end to the war, which is currently raging,' Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social. The ongoing border conflict has already claimed at least 32 lives and displaced nearly 150,000 people since it broke out on Thursday. Despite growing international concern, shelling and ground clashes have continued. Trump warned that the violence could have diplomatic and economic consequences. 'We happen to be, by coincidence, currently dealing on trade with both countries, but do not want to make any deal, with either country, if they are fighting — and I have told them so!' he said. Following the call with Thailand's leadership, Trump sounded optimistic. 'Thailand, like Cambodia, wants to have an immediate ceasefire, and peace,' he wrote. 'I am now going to relay that message back to the Prime Minister of Cambodia. After speaking to both parties, ceasefire, peace, and prosperity seems to be a natural. We will soon see!' The clashes, the worst in over a decade between the two Southeast Asian neighbours, have sparked fears of broader instability in the region if diplomacy fails.

Chhattisgarh: 4 Naxalites killed in encounter with security personnel in Bijapur
PTI Published 26 Jul 2025, 09:47 PM IST Four Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security personnel in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday, police said. A gunfight broke out in the evening in a forest in the south-western part of the district when a team of security forces was out on an anti-Naxal operation following information about the presence of Naxal cadres, said Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P. So far, the bodies of four Maoists have been found at the encounter site and intermittent exchange of fire is still underway, he said. A huge quantity of weapons, including INSAS and SLR rifles, has also been recovered, the senior official said. The operation is still in progress, he said. With the latest deaths, 225 Naxalites have been killed in encounters in Chhattisgarh so far this year. Of them, 208 were killed in the Bastar division which comprises the districts of Bijapur, Bastar, Kanker, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Sukma and Dantewada. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said on more than one occasion that the government is committed to eradicate Naxalism by March 31, 2026.
