The Labour Resources Department has issued an official call for applications, with most of the positions earmarked for women. According to a public notification from the District Employment Office in Jamui, these overseas roles are being facilitated under an agreement with Israel, offering monthly salaries equivalent to Rs 1.61 lakh (USD 1,870 or 6,247.67 Israeli New Shekel). The contractual jobs span an initial two-year period, with an option for extension based on performance and further requirements. Eligibility Criteria Applicants must be between 25 and 45 years old, weigh at least 45 kg, and have a minimum height of 1.5 metres. A Class 10 pass certificate is the minimum educational requirement, along with proven proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. A valid passport is also mandatory. While 90 percent of the posts will be reserved for women, the remaining 10 percent are open to men. Preference will be given to female candidates with prior training in General Duty Assistant (GDA), Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM), General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Diploma in Senior Care (DSC Nursing), or Post-BSc Nursing. Importantly, women who have never worked or traveled to Israel before will be given priority. Applicants must also be mentally and physically fit. A certificate from an authorised government agency attesting to eligibility is required, along with proof of completion of a care course involving at least 990 hours of training, including on-the-job training (OJT). Only courses and institutions recognised by the Centre will be considered valid. Application Deadline Selected candidates will be required to work six days a week. The recruitment process is being coordinated by the District Employment Office in Jamui, where interested candidates must submit applications before August 7. Special registration drive for Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana extended till August 15
NEW DELHI: The ongoing door-to-door awareness-cum-enrolment campaign drive to reach out to all eligible pregnant and lactating women to ensure their timely registration under the scheme Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) has been extended till August 15. The scheme provides financial assistance to support nutritious diets and improve health-seeking behaviour amongst the Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers (PW&LM), along with promoting positive attitudes toward the girl child. It offers cash incentives as partial compensation for wage loss to enable mothers to rest before and after the delivery of the first child. Since the scheme's inception and up to July 31, more than 4.05 crore beneficiaries have been paid the maternity benefit (at least one instalment) amounting to Rs.19,028 crore through direct benefit transfer in their bank/post office accounts, according to Women and Child Development ministry officials. The PMMVY is a centrally sponsored scheme under Mission Shakti's sub-scheme 'Samarthya', providing direct financial assistance through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.

National Board of Examinations calendar lists NEET super specialty in November
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced its tentative exam calendar for upcoming key medical entrance and qualifying examinations. The schedule covers tests to be held between October 2025 and January 2026, including NEET SS 2025, DrNB (SS) Final Theory, DNB (BS) Final Theory, the Diploma Final Theory, and the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).According to the notification, the NEET SS 2025 exam is scheduled for November 7 and 8, 2025, to be conducted in two sessions 9 am to 11:30 am, and 2 pm to 4:30 DrNB (SS) Final Theory Exam will take place earlier, on October 29, 30, and 31, 2025, between 9 am and 12 pm. Following this, the DNB (BS) Final Theory Exam will be held from December 18 to 21, 2025 (Thursday to Sunday), with a morning shift from 9 am to 12 Diploma Final Theory Exam is scheduled for January 6, 7, and 8, 2026, in the afternoon session from 2 pm to 5 examination cycle will conclude with the FMGE December 2025 session, set for January 17, 2026. The test will be conducted in two shifts — from 9 am to 11:30 am, and 2 pm to 4 has clarified that the dates mentioned are tentative and subject to change if unavoidable circumstances such as public holidays or other disruptions arise.
