
2 dead, juvenile hurt in Florida mini-lobster season, Monroe County deputies say
According to Monroe deputies, 82-year-old Clarence Shawver was found dead in gulf waters near Mile Marker 60.
The Palm City man died snorkeling in the Gulf near Mile Marker 60.
Shawver was snorkeling before officials say he was taken to Fishermen's Hospital in Marathon, Florida, where he later died. Officials do not believe foul play is a factor in the incident but autopsy results are pending.
On Friday, a Loxahatchee man died snorkeling off mile marker 74.
According to a release from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, 61-year-old Raymond Bruce Sasser was snorkeling before he lost consciousness around 8:30 a.m. He was taken to Mariners Hospital in Tavernier where he later died. An autopsy is also pending.
Officials say that near mile marker 48, a juvenile was airlifted to Nicklaus Children's Hospital after a boat propeller hit them. County officials report he suffered an injury to his leg.

Motorcycle rider killed in east Wichita crash
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A motorcycle rider was killed in a crash with another vehicle Saturday evening in east Wichita. The crash happened around 5:50 p.m. in the 200 block of South Greenwich, near Waterman. Emergency crews arrived to find the rider with life-threatening injuries. Three critically injured in Wichita crash, alcohol suspected
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Three people were critically hurt in a crash Saturday night involving two vehicles in west Wichita. It happened just after 8 p.m. at the intersection of St. Louis and Young streets, near Central and West. Police say a Ford Mustang collided with a GMC Acadia. All three people in the Mustang were taken to the hospital in suspected critical condition. One passenger was thrown from the car. The GMC driver was treated at the scene, and a passenger in that vehicle was also hospitalized. Motorcycle rider killed in east Wichita crash Police believe alcohol may have been a factor.
