New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has adopted a strict attitude in the case of stampede in M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. BCCI has announced to make a new policy to avoid any such accident in future. For this, the board has formed a new committee, which will prepare guidelines in this matter. This decision was taken in the BCCI Apex Council meeting held on Saturday and this responsibility has been entrusted to a 3-member committee. On June 4, 11 people died in an accident during the celebration of Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
In the BCCI Apex Council meeting held on Saturday, many issues were discussed and some important decisions were taken. The most important decision in this was related to the Bengaluru accident, on which everyone's eyes were fixed. After the meeting, BCCI issued a statement and in it first of all expressed grief over the Bengaluru stampede and the Ahmedabad plane crash. Along with this, the board formed a committee of senior officials to ensure that incidents like the Bengaluru accident are not seen in the future.

In its statement, BCCI said that a committee of 3 members will prepare detailed guidelines, which will be implemented during such events in the future. This committee will be headed by Board Secretary Devjit Saikia, while BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla and Treasurer Prabhtej Singh will also be a part of it. All these three officials hold the most powerful positions in the board. It has also been made clear that this committee will have to submit its report and guidelines to the board within 15 days.
Accident happened after RCB's victory:
On June 3, Royal Challengers Bengaluru won their first title by defeating Punjab Kings in the final of IPL 2025. After this victory, there was a festive atmosphere in the whole of Bengaluru. After this, when the whole team returned to Bengaluru on the next day, on June 4, a crowd of fans filled the streets to join the celebration. During this, when the team reached Chinnaswamy Stadium after attending the program of the Karnataka government in Vidhan Soudha, there was already a crowd of lakhs on the streets.
During this time, a stampede situation arose and 11 fans died. At the same time, about 50 people were injured. After this, while the Karnataka government, Bengaluru Police and RCB management were on everyone's target, questions were also being raised on BCCI. Then BCCI had washed its hands off by saying that it had nothing to do with this event, but this led to heavy criticism of the board. Only after this, BCCI had announced to make a concrete policy regarding celebration.
